His agony is beautiful.

I wonder if drafting Anthony Bennett scared the front office (or LeBron) so much that they didn't have confidence in their own ability to scout anymore. I mean, Anthony Bennett is historically bad. They would have been better off drafting Delly #1 than that bum.

I mean that was a historically bad draft. It's best player so far is a Greek player who nobody thought would be this good this early.

Even at the time though, Bennet wasn't all that high on anyone's list. They could have taken a better value player like Oladipo, or moved down if they had their heart set on Bennett. It was just a terrible pick.

Most of the players in that draft are still in the NBA. Anthony Bennett isn't. That's horrendous. It's one thing drafting a role player like Otto Porter or Alex Lem. It's another thing entirely drafting a player who's so bad he can't make anyone's roster.

Didn't realize just how much the Warriors exploited Kyrie til this read. Yikes. Lue has his work cut out for him.

Yeah this shocked me a bit too when i saw it earlier. I never undetstood why people are so adamant about suggesting that Curry isn't a good defender. And considering him and Kyrie both play the point, after seeing shit like this i really don't understand it

It was funny watching sportscenter after the game yesterday and watching Stephen A say how everyone that helps you out offensively on the cavs hurts you on defense (Love, Kyrie, JR) but the people who can help you out defensively aren't as effecient offensivey (shumpert, JR)

I've been saying that over and over in this thread. It's a team of one-way players.

Yeah, you can't do that to the Warriors. Their Team/Help defense is too good. Plus Curry is actually a good on ball defender. Not sure what his numbers in the PnR look like but he definitely isn't Kyrie level.

GM Lebron keeps on trying to get perimeter shooting bigs. What the cavs have always needed is a Serge Ibaka, not a Channing Frye or a Kevin Love. They already have shooters. They already have guys who can get to the free throw line. And they already have glaring holes on the defensive end.

A big with a midrange game also would work (like Wiggins) with the Cavs style of play. Just.... Kevin Love doesn't really complement that roster much. And having both Frye and Love is redundant.

Acquire players who could play both ends of the court.

and how would you do that if you are already millions over the cap and can't sign anybody else?

is it really that hard to understand that they couldn't sign anybody else? it's not that they didn't want to they literally could sign TT or nobody.
Love, Kyrie and LeBron already take like 80% of the cap.

:( fuck blood clots

He ain't even Jamaican man.

I'm a horrible person for saying this, but the Heat aren't in the worst position in the world if they can take Bosh off the books. Paying him the max when he's your third best player is cool, paying him and having to rely on him as your first option? That's a dead end. He just does not distort a defense, his jump shots fall or don't, but he's not creating much of anything for others. God, I sound like the TNT crew.

I've never really heard of teams skipping drafting a player like Kyrie #1, for concerns about their defense. It's always something teams assume an athletic player can eventually learn.

Cavs really should have went all out and tried to grab Thibs, when they fired Blatt. There's really no excuse a guy like that can't play D. Even w the same personnel, there's little chance he would leave them so sloppy.

In all honesty has anyone post-MJ era had more of an impact on the league than Jerry West? I mean he is responsible for the Kobe/Shaq Lakers dynasty and the Steph/Klay Warriors dynasty. It's insane.

Warriors ain't a dynasty yet cool your jets.

Their team building didn't begin last off season. They made many bad decisions over the years and now they have an old team that's not versatile enough to consistently take on the NBA's best.

A little bit yeah.

Still think GS looks good going forward to win in 6, but I can't imagine game 1 was Cleveland's ceiling.

Well the thing is, that was nowhere near the dubs ceiling either. If the bench plays 60% that well and the starters play average than they sweep.

I hope neither, or at least only one goes cold between Klay and Curry next game. I dislike seeing both of them underperform simultaneously. At least one of them needs to get hot!
