My wife made me this for our first wedding anniversary as a surprise - she sneakily listened in to a conversation me and a friend were having about some of our favourite games over the years. She's not a gamer AT ALL, didn't have a clue about any of them, so I think she did really well.

Super comfortable and soft. Regular price was $3,200 for the pair, but I got a smoking deal on them as they were the last ones they had. They had them on sale for $1,800, but I talked them down to~$1,500 delivered to my house. Negotiating skills FTW!

-I randomly found the top row of Blu-Rays & Race to Witch Mountain for $5 each at FYE and got Hercules & Tarzan from Amazon.
-The last few scraps of Toys R Us's clearance blast I could find - each item was under 60 cents, haha.
-Funny story on this one - I have had one of the two Super Mario Bros. 2 guides since I was a kid and I was just thinking that I should try to track down the other one on eBay late last week.
So Sunday I'm wandering around Half-Price Books and I find this one hanging by the magazines and it's only $1! I wasn't sure if it was the one I needed but figured I'd chance it for a buck. I get home, dig through my Nintendo Power collection and sure enough, it's the one I needed!
The Pokemon Gold/Silver guide was a nice bonus find too.
-I got a few more choice Wii games for the collection from Gamestop and got the GB games on clearance for $1 each at Half-Price Books.
-I recently finished Demon's Souls and wanted to dive into Dark Souls so I grabbed a cheap (but new!) import copy of the Prepare to Die Edition on eBay. I got all of the other games for $5 each (COD3 was $7 but it's a new copy).
Been waitin on this package since the 25th July (when it apparently arrived at Heathrow in the UK). Started to think i'd never receive it. Posteie turns up today and apparently it have been sitting in my local sorting office since the 28th but I never got a missed delivery card! Christ knows what would've happened if I hadn't had to have the second item in this post re-delivered today:

I keep going back and forth on starting one of these projects - If i could find a GBA original for $5 or less at at a thrift or rummage I'd go for it but the only places i find them want $25+
Plus the kit is about $40-50, right? A lot of money to put down on something I could screw up. Also I have an SP 101 that works fine, i just like the form factor better on the originals.
Just an FYI all of those kits (for now at least) appear to be sold out and as Such availability is near zero while prices continue to climb.

GBA looks utterly incredible on WiiU VC. They really did a great job with that.

This week's figure arrivals were worth the lengthy (customs) wait.

I got Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Year of Pilgrimage by Murakami (Hardcover Edition).
Inside, glued to two round stickers like those on the cover there was all these Stickers you can remove individually:
And finally, all together with the book without its sleeve:
With some lack of time as well some funds I still managed to get a little tiny something for me.

I took a bit of a punt on an eBay listing lacking a photo and ended up with a rather nice copy of Lylat Wars for N64 (rumble pak included) for not much at all:

I managed to find used copies of .Hack//Quarantine and Tales of Destiny 2 in the past few weeks for around $30 total... that shit is nanners.
Also spent a ton of money at Image Anime in NYC on various overpriced stuff, but what can you do when it's just all right there!

Turned out my 32nd birthday delivered two total surprise awesome gifts. A PS4 from the wife, which I never would have thought she would buy. And a DJI Phantom FC40 quadcopter from my dad. So fucking sweeeeeeeeeet!!!
I'll post some of the onboard quadcopter videos once I get the hang of it more and I am not standing around looking like a bum on camera.

Picked up a new bike yesterday and got to hit the trails with it this morning. Trek X Caliber 5. My first 29er, and it's awesome.

Glad you could find it fellow GAFfer. I had to go to Fnac which is a decent retail store twice because they were expecting the shipment to arrive. Even if it's a big retail store the worker told me that they only managed to get 40 copies of this book. I hope you can enjoy yours.
