October Wrasslin' |OT| Celebrating 20 Years of the YET-AY!

What's the general consensus on HIAC? I can't say that I thought any of the matches were actually good.

I used to think that people saying that the current style just everyone hitting their signature spots was just hyperbole, but yeah, not anymore...
I enjoyed the preshow match.
The Cena match ended quickly after a few of the usual moves, I wasn't paying enough attention I think.
The Bray match sent me to sleep and I haven't built up interest to watch the rest :/

I can relate. I watched it in fits and starts, because all the matches shared the same structure - which is to say, none.

They might wait until right before MITB next year for Sheamus to cash-in because of his movie appearance in TAINT 2 (Teenage Alien Invader Ninja Turtles).

They should put the Title on Reigns now because
- He's got momentum
- Rollins is weak
- Title Program is dull as shit
- Rematch would be at TLC, meaning a new program for RR/FL (Ambrose? Hunter?)
- The Rumble has a higher possibility of not being a complete shitshow because Reigns can't win it (This years' was an even bigger disaster than last years', where people were cheering for Reigns at the end)
- It's also a down period for the company, so doing a title change to a guy they believe in can potentially spark interest while Brock and Cena are gone, right before Football season ends and Smackdown coming to USA next year

Assuming Reigns wins the Title and holds onto the Belt to Mania, I think the winner of the Rumble will be Cena.
Yeah, Reigns vs Cena with Roman winning and becoming the new face of the company. Just as planned.

But I still hope that Brock wins the Rumble, eliminating all the other 29 wrestlers.
Or Bryan could be back and win. But WWE would never do that.

Everyone needs to let Bryan go, he already has one foot in the grave and Vince will never ever get behind him. Let him be a guy who puts on great matches and nothing more, let him be Cesaro. (If he comes back)

Bryan seems like the type who won't stop until he dies in the ring though, wouldn't blame WWE if they tell him it's over.

People hate Cena because his character never changes.

Reigns as the face of the company will make people wish Cena was still the guy. Reigns has no character and once's "the guy" in WWE's eyes, they'll never turn him.

Smackdown Spoilers:

6. Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, and Braun Strowman defeated Dean Ambrose, Cesaro, and Ryback. Great six-man match. Harper pinned Cesaro after Bray Wyatt interfered. Roman Reigns came in after the show ended to help the babyface team.

I went to trade-in a bunch of old games last night for GH Live, ended up using them to stack 2 different promotions, one of them was 3 games for 1 out of a selection of games

I narrowed it down to CoD, Fallout 4 and WWE 2k16

I wanted Fallout 4 on the PC, CoD meh... so I asked for WWE 2k16. As the dude was looking for a copy, I was nauseous. He finally told me they didn't have any left for ps4, so I asked for Fallout 4. I cried on the way back home

I dodged that bullet guys, I don't know why I asked for 2k16

I dodged that bullet

hold me Wrasslegaf

GH Live is really good

We all have momentary lapses in judgement. It's fine. Just take this as further proof to avoid this product, friend. We all make horrible life choices throughout our lives and thankfully, the one you attempted to make didn't end in bad way. We're here for you and I for one am proud of you.

Stay strong, imbask.

Brock should come out 30 with just miz left at 29 and refuse to elminate him.

Just putting the hurt on Miz to the point where he starts tapping to germans.

I love to see him #1 and he just destroys the first few people and then you have like numbers 7 and 8 or so just come in and then jump right back out over the top rope and run back up the ramp.

2k16 actually has Rollin'

Color me shocked

In my universe mode, Rusev defeated Brock for the World Title at Payback. I simulated all the way to WM and he was still champ where he faced Cena who won the RR. Beat Cena as well. Now he is feuding with Kane. In 2016.

Also made Vader debut in NXT. He's been murdering everyone.

Not being able to edit rivalry matches are shitty.

Are you going to book your own PPV and then grade it?

I'm not even speaking to you any more, DMczaf.

Which reminds me, I've made it to Roooad Wiiild '97, but all of a sudden the Network is not saving my place and whatnot. And old stuff that I've completed is listed as partially watched. It's really annoying and it's happening across multiple systems, so I don't know what to do... except take a break from WWE Network for a bit and hope that it resolves itself. >_>

Oh, hey. I've made a dude.

Before work today, I played a match against Lord Steven Regal. He wrecked me and made me submit in the Regal Stretch. I thought I'd be a bit better at figuring out the buttons...

During coffee, I set up Zach vs. "Ravishing" Rick Rude w/ Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. Despite much interference, Zach won via Texas Piledriver. Watching the CPU wrassle is pretty fun, even though there were multiple finishers kicked out of. I'm guessing that can be changed via sliders.

Oh, random thought: mini-games and meters of any kind in a wrasslin' game is stupid and unnecessary. I'm Jim Cornette and that's my opinion.

Back to you, Vince: I'm a-gonna tweak my guy a bit because I noticed some stuff I don't like -- like, I gave my dude the Stinger Splash and it looked horrible when the CPU did it -- but I'll upload him this evening. I'll keep you updated.

Update on Rusev:

Word from backstage is that Rusev is believed to have suffered a torn bicep, according to PWInsider. There is no confirmation on the severity of the injury but it was bad enough to stop the match.

Regarding the post-match tantrum that Rusev threw, that may have been done to make up some of the TV time they lost when the match had to be cut short.

Bad luck for Rusev. Not sure the recovery time for that though.
