Poor Jeb probably rehearsed that "French work week" line and was expecting an applause...I kinda feel bad for him :(

This shit too. You know that motherfucker got that from Rove. "Slamming the French was great for us!" What a weak ass attack. French people live longer and get to drink in the middle of the day, you tell me what's wrong with that.

This shit is nonsense. Dude's trying to argue that the GOP isn't necessarily in disarray and can't even look up at the scoreboard. Benjamin Fuckin Carson IS LEADING THE PRESIDENTIAL POLLING. And behind him, Trump. The GOP is broken and this isn't even remotely up for debate. 538 is shockingly bad.

As for polling and actual data, Rubio looks like he'll be the one to come out of this mess. Primary voters just going through their "maybe I like Newt Gingrich?" phase.

Jesus, can you at least get the facts right. Trump is leading Carson everywhere but Iowa.

The big takeaway from this is that being governor of Florida is apparently not difficult to do and should not be considered evidence that you can do any actual things associated with running a political campaign.

This also helps explain Charlie Crist.

And Rick Scott. Very unfortunate but that's what retirement homes do for you. I guess the future is bright as in 10-20 years from now...purple-blue.

Rubio's not making it to Hillary, though. This dude's past defense of undocumented immigrants makes him unelectable in this primary.
Assume Trump implodes; who else is there?

Bush is toast. Kasich is VP at best. Carson is a joke, along with Fiorina and Cruz.

It's either going to be Rubio or Trump, I would have to think. Based on tonight's showing it could very well be a 50/50 chance that Rubio or Trump gets the nod.

Assume Rubio implodes. Trump's position on immigration on immigration precludes him from implosion. He's the only one willing to deport millions of people.

WHAT THE HECK IS OTHER?

GLENN BECK: I really watched the Democratic debate, and I really listened, and the one that stood out, the one that every Republican candidate should listen to is Bernie Sanders. Take away everything about his solutions because his solutions don't work, he says we need to be more like Denmark.. the Danes are running away from socialism, they can't get away fast enough...

Here's what he says that Republicans need to pay attention to: If he said it once, he said it ten times, a version of this: The way capitalism is being done, or the way Washington is functioning or the bailout of the banks, it is immoral!

He's talking about morality. "It's immoral and everybody knows it."

That's what people are angry about...

I'm agreeing with him that what is happening in this country is immoral, I don't agree with his solutions at all.

WHAT THE HECK IS OTHER?!?!?!?

I told you guys like a year or more ago that 2016 primary would be all about immigration.

Trump was the only one willing to actually land right on the position of the vast majority of the base. All the others were trying to straddle before he got in the race. Cruz notably, and sadly for my earlier posts, was the exception.

Once you're tagged with AMNESTY that doesn't come off easily in GOP prison life.

Immigration always takes me by surprise when I find out people care about it. It's never been on my radar at all, even though it's the #1 issue for most of my family. The guy who did the paperwork for my car loan complained that people called him racist for advocating for mass deportation. Not a Trump fan, but I bet he's changed his mind.

I had a sense of that too, but never expected illegal immigration to explode and become a large focus of attention. Disregarding my own feelings, probably for the best, heh.

At least he's starting to come around. My biggest complaint is that he use's Boehner's long reign as Speaker as a sign of unison when Boehner would have been gone long ago if there were actual unison in the party. They basically had to relentlessly beg Paul Ryan to run in order to find anyone other than Boehner that could do it.

I still feel like people should have started considering this when Cain was leading in 2012. It's true that everyone who follows this stuff closely was right to dismiss the tiny lead Cain built, but it still shouldn't be discounted how increadibly impressive it was for Cain to get as far as he did, nore should it be discounted that the same forces that gave Cain his tiny lead grew to be even larger 4 years down the road.

I don't know why Cain is singled out here, there were three other not-Romney's that took leads and two completely blew them.

And one did it twice.

One of the reasons immigration completely fell off my radar was because net migration between USA and Mexico reached 0 -> we were deporting as many people as we were taking in. Case closed, let's just drop the whole thing. But it turns out, the base's concern isn't that more will come. Their primary beef is with the people already here. This is part of why Trump's doing phenomenally well. He is the only one who says he will solve their problems.

Because he was a pizza magnate that quotes pokemon is why. A man after my own heart.
Yeah, he just showed up. Perry was a governor. Gingrich was Speaker. Santorum was a senator. Cain was from nowhere. Trump and Carson are also from nowhere, but the demand for that type of candidate has grown in the last 4 years. Cain was the trial run.

Why is it taking so long for Trump or anyone to go in on Rubio for being for amnesty? It's like everyone's ignoring the elephant in the room which he's been known for.

No, Obama stopped deporting people and actually opened the borders to an even greater swarm of illegals who are raping and murdering and stealing welfare and education and possibly are probably terrorists. Two new Mexican restaurants opened down the street and my bank is now printing their forms in both English and Spanish. We are literally losing America.

Cain was famous for challenging Hillarycare. He was then a failed Senate candidate and even ran for President briefly in 2000. He was a fairly popular talk radio host/professional guest opinion for years.

Trump's threatened to or started to run in 1988 and 2000. And sorta in 2012.

Well, Trump is famous for challenging Obama's eligibility for president. He ran for president briefly in 2012. He was a frequent guest on Howard Stern. Neither he and Cain have any political qualifications whatsoever, which appears to be a huge asset.

I think no one wants to play that card too hard because it will only end up creating a gift for the Democrats in the election.

Also, Rubio put up a really good defense on that topic in the last debate.

Naw, Trump will lay him out the moment he replaces Jeb. Trump is collecting dogtags.

Trump targets people he doesn't care for and goes overboard, the same in the opposite direction for those he does like. If you ever watched the inferior U.S. version of The Apprentice this was the major factor in every single one of his decisions after say, the second season. If you failed terribly but Trump liked you and wanted to see you move forward, you're safe and terrific and amazing. If you lost, but made no serious mistakes but Trump blatantly dislikes you, you're fired.

Jeb! was in his way and Trump's never liked the Bushes, Rand challenged him early so he got shots fired at him, Carly was trying to steal his deal so he had to take her down, he blasted Rubio as a child when Rubio took shots, now Kasich went after him, etc.

How was New Jeb any different from Old Jeb? The only things I noticed were he had a lot less speaking time and he made a serious attack against Rubio.

President Sanders to move marijuana off of schedule completely:
"Too many Americans have seen their lives destroyed because they have criminal records as a result of marijuana use," Sanders told the crowd, which erupted with applause. "That's wrong. That has got to change."

No other presidential candidate has called for marijuana to be completely removed from the schedule of controlled substances regulated by the Drug Enforcement Administration. …

Sanders's plan would not automatically make marijuana legal nationwide, but states would be allowed to regulate the drug in the same way that state and local laws now govern sales of alcohol and tobacco. And people who use marijuana in states that legalize it would no longer be at risk of federal prosecution.

His plan would also allow marijuana businesses currently operating in states that have legalized it to use banking services and apply for tax deductions that are currently unavailable to them under federal law.

Hillary needs to end her failed campaign already.

So the GOP is too scared to answer questions is all I got out of that debate.

Oh, and Jeb! sucks at this. Like, who the fuck did he beat to win in Florida? Kevin McCarthy?
