Arrest is overboard, but if he broke the law he should be fined like everyone else.

Yeah sure, I have no problem with an investigation into these claims, given that there does appear to at least be enough of a basis for an investigation to be warranted, and a reasonable and proportionate sanction to be imposed if they are found true. This is mad salty though.

Can't wait to see them completely turn on Warren because she's not interested in trying to tank the Democratic party

If you check out r/sandersforpresident they already did. Saw her called a traitor :lol

So both the NY Times and WaPo have nothing about Rubio and both have articles about Cruz being the last best hope.

Cruzmentum? To be honest I'd rather have Cruz as the nominee than Trump.

Exactly what I predicted yesterday. Expect the RNC to do the same.

And, yes, I think Cruz is exponentially easier for Hillary to beat.

If the RNC turn to Cruz to save them, I think I might actually die laughing. The man who is up there with Christie for the most hated member of the party, the last great hope. Still, I guess they are desperate, and Rubio is a big fat mess.

Cruz is basically a bet that the GOP can lose the White House without losing downticket races. Trump is an unknown quantity but all of the, like, quantum superstates are bad for America and the GOP, so it's like doing a taste test of poisons. Cruz is a known quantity that will lose the White House but in a normal and straightforward fashion like a bunch of the GOP were expecting to do for the last year anyway.

Also, this article is amazing. https://www.washingtonpost.com/blog...chris-christies-wordless-screaming/?tid=ss_tw

Lmao can't believe we just 180'd from Rubes to Cruz.

Can't believe Rubio thought dick jokes would help him.

See I don't know about that. A lot of the faux moderate GOP Senators up for re-election in the swing states probably don't want to be associated with Cruz either.

Jeb is probably having the last laugh. Look GOP! Look at your golden boy. He wont even carry Florida! If you fuckers stuck with me at least I would have delivered Florida.

When it comes to Trump being the nominee, the GOP seem to be occupying all five of the stages of grief at once.

CNN does both in their actual broadcasts.

Like it or not, superdelegates are a part of the democratic process. Bernie just isn't winning enough to get them to break from Hillary. But, even without them, she still has a near-insurmountable lead at this point.

i agree that its easier to split them out, but the only time what they are would matter is if Bernie was making any kinds of inroads into making this a race. Since Clinton will continue as the overall leader and continue winning the most delegates, superdelegates aren't going to change.

She's up by almost 200 delegates, what was the only realistic path for Bernie? If she was only up by under 50?

I agree. The super delegates are unbound, and so despite their endorsements can still vote for Bernie at the convention. I also believe that most would do exactly that, if Bernie would somehow win the regular delegate count. Most super delegates won't want to be seen overturning the will of the people. (At the 2008 convention, most super delegates that had endorsed Hillary cast their votes for Obama).

The point is moot, of course, because Hillary is ahead in the regular delegate count and will win it handily. Still, I think reporting the delegate count including super delegates actually does her a disservice (not to mention invoking backroom dealings that might piss off some of the less informated Bernie supporters).

splitting super delegates would be more misleading because the super delegates would never be split even.

Besides, as people above have said they have counts with and without them.

Yeah, I was just miffed that they didn't separate them out. Her lead among "elected" delegates is far smaller and is surmountable.

And while I agree it is highly unlikely that Bernie wins, I'd like to have people mark my words that it is entirely possible with the number of delegates still to be counted, especially if there is a major surprise that no one expects.

And I don't think the media should necessarily paint a different picture. Trump is already coming after Clinton in the bombastic and insane ways I expected, and I am still concerned that the Dems need to build some more teflon for her.

I got into last night with my brother in law (staunch Bernie supporter) who hates the DNC and Hillary.

He is pro choice, anti gun and supports gay rights but will absolutely not vote for Hillary.

it scares the shit out of me.

where will these voters go? even if they stay home its bad for the Democrats.

So dumb. I can't believe people are running with the narrative.

The narrative that Rubio has a better chance to win the remaining states is true but also too nuanced. Cruz is the one who won 3 states last night. Cruz is the one second in delegates. Easier to run with the stories about him being the last hope.

I wonder which city is in the Congressional District Rubio won in Texas. He won the counties with Little Rock, Atlanta, Oklahoma City, Richmond, Columbia, and (parts of) Des Moines and Charleston.

I'm starting to think Trump would be the easier opponent again. His news cycle two days before Super Tuesday was pretty brutal. If it's like that for months leading up to the general then he'll be badly damaged. Moreso than he is now.

To be fair there's a lot of Republicans that are like that with trump as well. Seems like they're both 'controversial' candidates who have a significant group of people that just won't vote for them if they get the nom period.

Good news is Cruz is basically extremely unpalatable to like basically everyone so let them try.

I still don't feel good about Trump winning this nomination, this debate tomorrow is going to be awful, worse than last time since it's going to add "secret NYT tape" and Trump being best friends with David Duke.

The problem is that if you ignore the narrative Trump is effectively the nominee. They need something to cover that up and they don't care what. Sure Rubio has a better chance to take the remaining states than Cruz but it's the difference between bad odds and terrible odds.

On what earth does Bernie take nearly 70% of California? Or fucking North Carolina for that matter. It's sandwiched between SC and VA, two states Clinton won by either 48 points or 29 points. That map makes me angry in how unrealistic it is.

Did your brother hate the DNC before Sanders' campaign?

I don't particularly care about animosity towards Hillary right now, we had all this in 2008, but the vitriol being cultivated against the Democratic Party and its "establishment" is really unnerving.

I hope Obama manages to heal the party after this primary is over.

Can't believe that turnout is down for the Democrats when you replace the best Democratic politician since maybe FDR and a competitive race with a 74 year old dude from Vermont and a completely noncompetitive race.

Realistically I doubt most of these people who will be so turned off from the establishment are not people likely to vote much or often anyhow. It's no net change.

He was a right winger growing up that became a libertarian during the bush years and was a Ron Paul supporter in 08, He has slowly come to truly hate the RNC and believes the DNC is better for the country but will never fully accept a "established" candidate.

tl:dr the guy has always rooted for losers.

Democrat turnout is meaningless. GOP turnout though, red warnings there.

Sanders won Minnesota by a larger margin than New Hampshire.I kind of miss the days when people here was convinced Sanders wasnt winning anything but NH and Vermont <3

Found this Sanders Victory Map

nobnxYs.jpg

This is literally unfathomable. Forget NY, what about Cali? He's not gonna win by nearly 40 points there. What about Utah? Just about the most religious state in the country is going to vote for a Jewish Atheist to the tune of a 10 point advantage?

NORTH CAROLINA?
