EDIT: Never mind, mis read it.

Still, after Clinton / Obama 2008, anyone a) worrying about the Sanders to Trump effect is an idiot and b) if a hillary fan, should remember how much more magnitudes more vicious clinton supporters were initially towards Obama.

What makes you think I was a Hillary fan in 2008?

I'm not worried about their impact on the election at all; Bernie bros have already proven their impotence at the polls. I just find it equal parts grotesque and fascinating how easily people slide from socialism to fascism.

Don't know if you were or not - just reminding everyone how much more insane and virulent 2008 was initially and how it led to absolutely nothing when the actual election happened.

As someone who was in the Obama campaign, the irony of Clinton supporters in 2016 freaking out about this possibility is not lost on me. I don't know who specifically has been Team Clinton between 2008 and 2016, but there's most certainly a few folks in this thread who were probably Clinton fans in '08 and Clinton fans in '16, and probably at least a couple who were super angry initially about Clinton losing.

Considering the Republican version of this problem this year, it's even more sad that we are worrying about it on the Dem side.

Bah just saw the rest of the post

I think there's an authoritarian aspect to both. That something is the "right" thing to do, and we should do it at all costs. That slide seems easy to follow for me.

I don't see anything in the news about Clinton participating in the town hall.
Hopefully she doesn't. Let Bernie have a spotlight on fox if he wants. There's no reason to go on. It will be nothing but "so did you disqualify your self from the presidency when you lied to the family members of the dead American soldiers in Benghazi and then Deleted the email evidence of it"

Why is "Do you have a favorable opinion of X?" asked instead of "Do you think that X would be a good president?"

Ben Carson has great favorables among Republicans because Republicans like him personally, but none of them wanted him to be president.

The whole thing is frankly dumb. I'm sure she'll acquit herself fine regardless, but it's a waste of time and effort. And nakedly duplicitous in the real intent. She should have held some other competing event somewhere else instead.

Yes. Exactly. They want Bernie in the general. It's in their best interest to get the "see, even FOX likes Bernie" idiocy among the Bernie fans.

That doesn't really make much sense. Bernie supporters are well-aware of what Fox is. We're already aware they don't like the word socialism. By that extension, they don't like Bernie either. They don't hide that fact. Bernie supporters aren't idiots. So, thanks?

The idea he's proposing is that they'd give bern only the slightest of jabs and overtly support the man in in order to increase the likelihood of facing a beatable candidate in the general.

This also doesn't make sense to me personally. If Bernie were to win the nom. would Hillary supporters who have been attacking Bernie ones with this claim that they won't vote if Hillary gets the nom. suddenly not vote instead? The guy was and still is polling fine in terms of perceived electibility last I knew. Democrats who refuse to rally behind whoever the Democrat nom. is, especially since they're still somewhat similar on most matters, probably didn't care in the first place about the issues and only wanted their candidate in. The two are different on the issues in some manners, hence my support for Bernie and in the end if I have to settle with Hillary's more status quo-style of approach to things, I will have to. I'd like to assume Hillary ones would behave in the same way and not be hypocritical on this front.

Lol did you watch the townhall before last? Bernie was allowed to stay in his corporate greed wheelhouse, while Hillary was asked questions involving Jewish theism and Assisted Suicide. And this WASN'T Fox.

I just hope Hillary gets her rest.

I did not to be honest. That said, I'd rather watch it myself than read about it colored in your light. And even if that were the case, I'd want to see the contexts for the questions themselves. I am not arguing that Hillary deserves berating questions. No one does. This isn't some "tear the party apart" stance I'm taking. I am only stating that I'd prefer to see it for myself.

Obviously, I'm sure you take my unbiased word with about six teaspoons of salt, but the questions were harder for her than Bernie. And I'm okay with that. She's the front runner. That's normal.

Just saw my first Kasich ad here in Ohio. It was asking Ohioans to "loan him" to Washington. We can loan him to the moon as far as I'm concerned...

I feel really good about Trump in Florida, but less good about Ohio.

For Trump to break the establishment he needs both, otherwise this shit is going to drag on forever.

There are transcripts of all these events.

Anyway, the US electorate was composed of 40%+ people who consider themselves moderate in the last three Presidential cycles. Given they're probably going to be stuck with Trump, right wing media and groups essentially want someone who can potentially be as unappealing to these voters once he's been through the spin machine wringer.

Rubio has no organization at all, because Jeb made sure he didn't have any cash like a year ago when he still believed he might one day be president.

I'm really looking forward to GAME CHANGER 3: DEAL WITH IT.
Me too. Jeb campaign is gonna be a riot.

I'd believe you more if I haven't seen Sanders supporters on this site, on Reddit, and on my Facebook wall pointing to multiple right wing sources to attack Clinton. Not you, but many Bernie fans will justify it the same way they point to ancedotal evidence of their 84 year old Republican grandmother from Wyoming voting for Bernie as proof Sanders would win in a landslide.

Throwing on CNN after work... I love Trump labels. "Little" Marco and "Lyin'" Ted Cruz. Cracks me up.

Also quite the reversal on torture eh?

I wouldn't condone the attacking of her, yes. I haven't seen it much myself but I'm sure it exists and I won't deny that's a subset of Bernie supporters. I would be more inclined to believe they were a moderately small subset of Bernie supporters though. I actually recall Hillary ones being a lot more volatile back in 08' with Obama. But this isn't about a "who's the worst", any attitude like that is bad regardless how many are acting in such a way.

In regards to the landside winning thing, I wouldn't believe that he wins by a landslide. The nation is too split as is.

But the argument on Bernie's electability and how Repubs want him in order to win an easy general doesn't make much sense to me.
I'll just c/p my previous post in that regard:

10 teaspoons, actually, love. But I would generally agree that a front-runner is given tougher questions.

Let's get NASA some funding again to make that possible.

Stop dumping Trump shares on PredictIt you cowards.

Shit, anything under 70 cents is a good buy at this point.

Hell yes, I just bought another $50 worth at 69 cents. Puts me at damn near $400 when he gets it.

EDIT: Actually I just used some other winning to buy in so if he gets it I get $430.

My Hillary shares across the board have gotten clobbered because apparently a bunch of people think she's getting indicted and going to jail.

that tax thread response is exactly what would happen if bernie got in the general. Republicans would have a field day. No doubt they'd use images and articles like that in thousands of attack ads in FL, OH, PA, MI, NC etc

The blacks probably disagree.

I am that minority, although I see what you're saying

The Mexican comments aren't racist, fact is 20% of immigrants caught along the border have criminal records.

The Muslim comments aren't racist, but they're def edging past sectarianism.

What I think is happening with Trump, he's uncorking about 6 years of pent up political correctness that completely subsumed American social media, and universities. Hell, the whole internet.

Most of the racist rhetoric I see is from the nasty right, lead by rove and friends. If Romney hates you, rove, so on, are you really the enemy?

Idk, I typed this with Google voice so there's probably a lot of errors

Jesus Christ, never mind.

The proper response to "hey, maybe we should have women in video games with breasts that are smaller than F-cups" is obviously to fantasize about massacring Muslim prisoners with pigs blood covered bullets.

Fairly reasonable I guess.

Not sure where that came from.

EDIT: Nvm, I see the connection now. You meant in regards to Tessa's post on "unrepentant PCness" equating to Drumpf support.
Wouldn't call criticizing the depiction of women in games PC but I don't think you were arguing it was. It's obvi the logical conclusion to make when you hear a SJW talk about those issues. Kappa or whatever.
