One thing I love about Trump going after Romney is that he killed any plus Rubio would get from that endorsement and it would tie Rubio in with 'the losers'.

Stemming problems before they even exist.

Didn't even think of this. Chess, truly.

Either way all this press for rubio and trump isn't looking good for cruz. If anyone's sweating now it's probably him cause he knows deep down he's gonna be the third place guy

I still watch local news like a 90 year old woman with too many cats and too few marbles...

However, they spent at least 30% of the news on Trump. It was beautiful. Just beautiful.

Lol at Sanders campaign defending his crime bill vote by saying it was because of a weapons ban that didn't exist when he voted for it.

Lol, just read that some repubs wants a monarchy in USA.

And here I am working to get rid of the monarchy in my country.

And btw, I really hope Obama get rid of Guantanamo. What a piece of shit Guantanamo is.

Yeah, about that, what's Bernie and Hillarys stands on Guantanamo?

He's now saying it was because of the assault weapons ban. But it wasn't in the first house bill he supported.

Interesting.

Rubio and the rest of the GOP doesn't seem to get it. What Trump does is not effective because of what Trump says...it's because of HOW Trump does it. You can't just copy the bluster and hope it works. I mean, I think it's too late for them now....

Third place guy that'll have actually won some actual states.

That Bernie/Trump Bros video is amazing/hilarious/horrific all in one.

Bernie has talked both ways about Gitmo. He voted against giving the President the money he needed to close it, but now he seems to want it closed. Hillary supports Obama's plan to close it, as does Bernie now, I believe. Really no daylight between them on it at the moment.

Sources?

Disgusting if true by Bernie.

Edit: Read something that Bernie and another duder called Russ Feingold voted against the bill to close Gitmo because it reduced the rights of the inmates. Not sure if that's true.

All the Dem candidates want to get rid of Guantanamo. This is the second time Obama's tried, the first time Congress kicked up a bitch fit, acted like everyone there was Lex Luthor waiting to break out and terrorize the world, scared everyone that wasn't in NY, and blocked him.

It's not like they have any rights while they are in there.

It's not really that bad from Bernie on it, to be honest. The bill was defeated 90-6. That's the rationale I read as well. I'm not sure if they tried to get other amendments through to deal with human rights violations or not.

Both want to close it down. So, there's really little daylight there. (If at all.)

They voted YES on retaining habeas corpus for detainees. Anyone arguing otherwise is spinning a lie, frankly.

With Bernie's last few days, and his poll numbers reversing from Nevada it seems he was woefully unprepared to react to anything if he couldn't win the first few. I'm not sure if he just has some really shitty campaign managers, or he was just in it to push the party left and go from there.

It also seems like scrutiny on him has ratcheted it up since Nevada. I'm not sure if its just the noise dying down because its clear he has no revolution behind him, or with the inevitability of Trump being the nominee everyone has coalesced around Clinton because they have an opportunity to expand down ticket wins and her organization and money will help more

I think there are a couple things going on. I don't think he thought he'd do as well as he has. So, there was no real plan to get the win. However, his campaign staff is totally shit. I mean, he didn't have a lot to pick from, but Warner and Devine are just totally awful at nearly every campaign they run.

One thing I've always been critical of was his campaigns inability to multitask on things. When he decided to give his rah-rah Socialism speech it was in the wake of the Paris attacks. Instead of transitioning to that, they kept the speech focused on Socialism and failed to actually get the press there. These are not issues with Bernie but with Bernie's campaign.

I don't think he ever thought he would win, neither though the most rationale of people.

Im still suprised on how long he kept the momentum going on and how much influence he has had.

I still hope for a day when a socialdemocrat becomes president in USA. But right now, USA is too dumb to elect anyone who isn't super pro religion and very lefty.

I'm right there with you until the end. Let's not throw 300 million people under the bus at once.

I'm always somewhat surprised with the rise of the lunatic right-wing fringe across Europe, the degree to which EuroGAF still heaps disdain onto the US electorate.

This notwithstanding recognising there are significant problems in the US.

On Sanders, I think he started as a message candidate. At some point he started believe he could actually win it and be the next POTUS. While now reality has set in and he's back to pushing his message as much as he can.

Heard from a friend the line was out the door at the library near us here in north Texas. I think Trump has stirred people up!

Chris Matthews actually raised a good point on Gitmo that I'm not sure anyone can answer, not just Bernie. Basically, we want to close Gitmo and bring the prisoners here. Some people are worried about their local prisons holding some of the most dangerous people in the world, and that's completely legitimate, but we can get through that.

However, Chris raised the point that all it would take is the ACLU or some other advocacy group to say these men are on American soil, they deserve a fair trial. However, a lot of the detainees in Gitmo don't have any concrete evidence against them, so you can't really prosecute them. Thus, if you bring them onto American soil and someone demands a trial, they basically would have to be freed. And then you would have suspected terrorists running free in America. That's a really tough question to solve. Gitmo should absolutely be closed, make no mistake. It's a disgrace that it's still open. but what do we do with the prisoners after that?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here

USA is a dumb country full of dumb people. Bush got elected twice, Romney did actually somewhat good and millions believe that angels are real, jesus will come back to earth, evolution is a lie etc.
