Picture this: It's 2018. Hillary Clinton is our President. Elizabeth Warren is our VP. Donald Trump is in jail and Ted Cruz is dead, just like the 20-28 people he killed in northern california from 1960-1970. You can now use whatever water fountain bathroom you want without worrying about being arrested for having your hair too short. The Republican Party is in critical condition and is on life support.

Depending on your definition of modern, Anime/Manga/LNs/VNs would have to be a major aspect.

I don't know what I expected. I also took a class called Structure of East Asian Language, thinking it would be about the structure of different East Asian Languages. Turns out this semester it's only about Korean.

So now I know Korean grammar but no Korean.

I should really look at the course descriptions before I register for a class

See in every class I've ever taken we were either given the books to read before writing our essays or given more than enough time to pick out our own and get through it before the essay was due. Isn't there anything from your class you can use is what I'm asking.

she kind of just expected us to know the animays. there's no textbooks

like the first day of class all the students started weebing out and I had no idea what half of them were saying, like it's almost like they were speaking a different language.

What animes are you using? What's your topic?
Off the top of my head I can think of Eve no Jinkan, Chobits, Ghost in the Shell, Psycho Pass, and Sora no Otoshimono (kind of). Honestly, I thought I'd be able to think of more.

If you want something super quick to base it off you could try to watch Eve no Jinkan. It's just a movie. Though it depends on your topic.

My art credit in college was a class about musicals. The final exam was a classwide oral exam, as long as a single person knew the answer we all got credit. Easiest A ever.

I want to take that Fanfiction class taught at that university in Cali where the fanfic authors got really pissed off because "no concrit"
