I can not believe Sanders wants to debate trump. It is a dumb idea,but I do not think it will hurt the Dems GE chances to much. Also,the debate if it happens could potentially help Hilary by providing another example of Trump's debating style depending on what happens during the debate unless they both bash Clinton. The DNC will probably not want this debate to happen anyway.

I don't like to be rude to them which is why I try to be as nice as possible when I do venture in threads or hell even other sites. I think being nice works because if they're defensive even then they're a lost cause.
My concern is if Bernie does debate Trump will he hurt himself thus potentially dulling his hopeful endorsement and support of Hillary.
Obama should endorse right then, too.

I mean this is in response to a random late night question while everyone is sleeping (I only saw it cause I randomly woke up at 3am and was looking at Facebook. The DNC and the party will be on the phone or already is. The tweet was sent at like 11pm west coast time. I'd wouldn't even be surprised of the leadership didn't approve it. I think if the Jesus comes back from the dead level of miracle that would be a 90-10 Sanders win, Sanders would actually pass Clinton in pledged delegates and thus the supers would, if they don't want to ironically do exactly what Sanders is asking them to do right now, switch over and top him off for the nomination.
Fuck could you imagine if the Supers didn't switch? LOL Sanders would lookj like such a fool getting mad given his rhetoric recently about supers.

I don't think Hillary should participate. She has absolutely nothing to gain from publicly getting attacked on two fronts, when the Democrat nomination process technically still isn't over.
Let Sanders do his thing, and hopefully land a few blows on Trump while reminding Bernie Bros that if they give anything more than a passing fuck about Sanders' positions then even considering voting for trump = lunacy.

This is all based on a shitty ass late night tv show with an untalented hack at the desk.
Think of it this way. One of three things would be likely to happen: 1) Bernie tears Trump a new asshole [I think this is most likely given his ideological revulsion towards Trump and the Trumps of the world] 2) Trump tears Bernie a new asshole (possible, given the amount of material available, and Trump's willingness to fight) and 3) Both of them sort of muddle through.
In case 1, Trump looks bad and Bernie looks good, but it doesn't really matter because Bernie winning requires a miracle at this point.
In case 2, Trump has just savaged Bernie, Saint of Birdies, ensuring the cult of Bernie either stays home or works against him.
In case 3, nothing much happens, and nothing much changes.
Will they tee off on Clinton? Some, I'm sure. But it'll be the same stuff that already hasn't worked well, and it will give an insanely bad impression -- two old men spending their debate slagging off a woman candidate. It'll drive more women voters toward Hillary, including possibly some of the young ones she's lost to Sanders. Nothing either of them says is going to have a profound effect on the base, and the idea that Trump will somehow soften his positions enough to be acceptable to people who want to burn down Wall Street is just silly.
