I'd like to see someone in the media ask Sanders something to the effect of, "wouldn't you expect your supporters to be upset if you had the majority of the popular vote and the pledged delegates, but the superdelegates gave it to Hillary at the convention?".

Sure, if the phrase, "I, Donald J. Trump, believe President Obama will go down in history as one of the top presidents and I fully endorse Hillary Clinton", comes out of his mouth then I think people would change their minds.

When I was very young, I remember my mother supporting David Duke. She thought he was handsome and had a lot of good ideas. This was in a small town in Texas. We moved to the big city, she got exposed to different ideas and people and she changed.

It happens.

I'm watching over Weaver again with the tax return stuff

Jesus, he got fucking played. By the end of that exchange you could tell by his voice he was internally panicking and trying not to fuck up anymore, you could hear the "oh fuck fuck fuck" when he said "...yea sure he'll release his tax returns". Somehow it reminded me of Brass Eye and Peter O'Hanrahah-hanrahan

Don't worry, the media won't press him on this just like they don't press him on many of his campaign's mistakes.

Something is causing the GE markets to move back towards Dems.

Well Trump hasn't had a good week at all. It's one thing to get he media attention, but he didn't get anything positive out of it really. Attacking the media like he did is a big no-no for a presidential candidate. Attacking FOX is fine, or a specific reporter people like to hate, but you can't attack "the press".

Sanders also didn't have a good week, and as a result that would boost Dems numbers because it makes a Hillary win more likely if Sanders is on the way out.

I was thinking about this earlier after hearing about the similarities between Hillary's 2008 and Bernie's current position of losing the race. Do people actually want him to stump for her like she did for Obama? Because that seems like a bad idea. Sure you want those young people to go and support her, but isn't one of his negatives the baggage that comes with the label "socialism"? So wouldn't she be hurt by being associated with him if she's looking to make a moderate pivot?

They didn't really attack Hillary during 08 for supporting Obama. Only the president and the VP get focused on.

Say the FBI comes out tomorrow and wraps up the investigation and no charges. What are the chances everyone will accept it and move on?

I know some otherwise sweet people who are wavering on Trump, and it's such a frustrating experience having to deal with the rationalization of awful, awful policy. It's made worse in each of these instances by family members who watch Fox News, or worse, Alex Jones.

However, we're still fairly early in the game, and a lot can happen. We haven't seen the worst of Trump's supporters yet, which we will be seeing much more of as the convention approaches. Trump will probably say something moronic during the Olympics. Things will get a lot more serious, and Hillary benefits as a more conservative choice in the context of our political system. Uncommitted voters aren't going to be set by early June.

On another, related note, I've seen way too many people with the misguided belief that Trump is going to take the banks to task, and Bernie's constant whingeing about Hillary has benefited Trump as an seeming outsider on this issue. The Democrats need to shut down this narrative fast, and Warren is tailor made for it.

Some people's reactions won't be good because these people are currently banking on her getting indicted.

I'm interested in seeing H.A. Goodman's reaction to the FBI investigation.

"Here's why the FBI not asking for an indictment will lead to Hillary Clinton going to jail."

Big fun huh
Never seen the show.. All I know about it is from Adam's gifs.

Uh-huh. Sure. I believe you. This is a safe space. I know you fell in love with the show, and now you're walking through life YASSSSING. And lip syncing for you life to Hang on Sloopy. I got you.
Adam.. I'm gonna put it to you this way.. I would rather watch Rudy a dozen times than watch RuPaul.. I just have no desire to watch it Adam.

You have to watch either one season of RuPaul or six scUM games where they beat OSU. DECIDE.

Also, Flash and Green Arrow aren't broken. At least, the TV shows aren't. I don't read comics. I'm not a nerd. Now, excuse me while I go play video games.

Edit: How dare they schedule the Copa America USA games during Queen's night! Ugh. :( Mess.

What a fucking shit Weaver is. Love when Barney Frank clocks people for interrupting him. He does that every time he's on Bill Maher. lol

And AMEN to Chris Matthews for delivering that suplex at the end there.

It's almost therapeutic watching his comeuppance. I wanted to throw a brick through the monitor when he purposely interrupted Frank and started shaking his head.

Washington Post: Enough with Bernie Sanders

This is the place where a policy-oriented Washington commentator like myself is supposed to offer Bernie Sanders supporters some sort of olive branch. For example, I could point out that he has highlighted some real issues. I am angry about money in politics, too. I believe that income inequality is a problem, too. I think the safety net needs strengthening, too. In other words, I am supposed to indicate that I get why Sanders has a movement.

But the truth is that Sanders does not deserve a movement, and his losing campaign does not deserve unusual deference and concessions. His tale about American oligarchy is simplistic, his policy proposals are shallow, his rejection of political reality is absurd, his self-righteousness and stubbornness are unbecoming. And, yes, he has lost.

Orgasmic to see someone else finally say this. So many people seem to want to give him something he hasn't earned, or feel the need to capitulate. And I have no idea why. Nothing about him or the way he has lost the nomination indicates any reason for breaking tradition or new ground in the way the loser is 'compensated'. Feeding into his feeling that he is 'special' is a very bad idea IMO. I hate the precedent it sets.
