I think Debbie actually should stand down because she's so incompetent she can't even rig a primary right.

That said it's probably a good idea to get her to step aside as a concession to Bernie. Reform nominating process, 15 minimum wage, axe Debbie, and go away.

Oh man

I never use hashtags precisely because I normally want to confine stuff to my actual followers

But it is tempting to say "fuck it" and wade into that one

I'm in a bit of a mood at the moment

Let's just make Bernie the head of the DNC.

Debbie screwed up by making the primary process last this fucking long. In the age of the internet, its not hard to learn about a candidate.

The Bernie Bros are real. I’ve been the target of Bernie Bros on social media, and when I endorsed Sen. Sanders at a Brooklyn rally in front of more than 30,000 people, a not insignificant portion of the audience booed me for praising Clinton in my remarks. Forget the plainly self-defeating results of that behavior in terms of trying to recruit would-be Hillary supporters to Bernie’s column. It was disturbing from a visceral, human level.

Another article about moving away from Sanders after Nevada, what a shock that the writers are women.

Booed for endorsing Sanders while not being mean enough to Clinton. This is the Sanders legacy.

Honestly, if Bernie/his supporters could stop acting like dicks, that'd be great. Even ignoring all the shady shit the DNC has done and the Super Delegates, he's been losing since the start roughly. This is the point where he should be making concessions with the party and be trying to unify, not drive spikes into the cracks.

The fact that he's not condemning this shit is insane, because he's somehow willing to condemn Benghazi Email but not this shit.

Debbie has two fuckups to her name;

1.) The lack of a coherent strategy in 2014. Which consisted of mostly running away from the ACA.

2.) This fucking long primary season.

I'd dump her over 1. Otherwise she seems ok this primary.

But I think the primary season is actually a month shorter than last time!

I'm actually surprised Trump didn't throw out the name of a single minority judge. This is more transparently racist than I would expect even from him.

RE: The economy -- It's the traffic analogy:

Yes, we were all in a huge clusterfuck of a traffic jam.

And now all lanes are moving again.

But one of the lanes is moving really really fucking fast and has a bunch of Teslas zipping by while everyone else is just chugging along in their Priuses. Priii. Priusssss.

And they really want to merge, but the fucking assholes in Teslas keep zipping by, and they even activated the damned autopilot and aren't even looking at everyone else.

I'm getting a Tesla by the end of the year

PoliGAF, what the fucking fuck is happening? Why do we have a legit left wing tea party now?
I don't think we do. Bernie's most ardent supporters are the same people* that supported Ron Paul and Ralph Nader. It's a fringe that just happens to currently be in the Democratic primary. Bernie isn't bringing a coalition of people who will take over Congress in the same way that the Tea Party did. The people we have issues with now are Gamergaters that have mysteriously identified with the Democratic party for a brief time. They don't bring with them the sort of movement that will actually have an effect on down ticket elections.

*- I don't mean the exact same people, but rather white college kids that think they know how things work.

Omg on the phone right now with a Bernie phone banker!!!! OMG!!!!

I got a call from a "Tech support from Microsoft" indian guy a few days ago.
I strung him along for a while, then when he asked me what the screen says I told him "The person you are talking too is a scammer, you should hang up". He still tried to claim he was not a scammer, lol. Someone from the same op called back again today.

YES report on everything.

Where will you park your Porsche?

Who do you think I am, an asshole startup person?

No Porsches, no BMWs. Ever.

Anyway he was nice. He asked me if he can count on my support. I said no, I'm voting for Hillary. And he said why. And I said well I work for a bank and he wants to break up my employer. He says Bernie isn't really against banks, he just wants to make them smaller So they can't fail. I said I think we have this under Dodd Frank. We talked for a few minutes about Dodd Frank. Then he said well thanks anyway, but consider Bernie is better on the environment.

He was pretty nice.

Nice, good to hear.

Better then the one who told me to to go fuck myself.

I just posted my first tweet in over a year, #bernielostme

I was going to vote for him back in the primary but before that happened he went negative and pissy. Now I just want him out of the race.

Suggesting that racism is mostly abstract in America is simply false, and all of the things you've suggested are perfect examples of why, because people of color simply don't get the same benefit from welfare programs, wage increases, educational programs, or even infrastructure spending. All of the government programs are designed and run in ways that prevent them from getting access to the benefits. Look at the GI bill or the interstate highway program for quick, obvious examples of how even massive government initiatives can be used to impoverish rather than uplift people of color if the will is there to do so.
Hey. I think racism is important. I think it's real and it's a barrier. I think it is a huge part of what progressivism is about. We're on the same side here.

But I don't think it's the most important, defining goal of progressivism, nor should it be. Instead, I think breaking down barriers is a way to get everyone involved in the "main stuff". But it's not an end unto itself! After all, even if we had perfect racial equality in our society, it doesn't mean anything if people of lower classes are excessively (compared to the capacity of the encompassing society) worse off than their richer brothers and sisters. Martin Luther King Jr. understood this perfectly, which is why his message was always intertwined with a call to lift up those that have less, which is why he had been known to mix company with communists and socialists, which is why he was targeted by the ex-McCarthyists and the FBI. And Jesse Jackson carried MLK's message into his two presidential runs. In fact the main focus of Jesse Jackson's campaign was about making life better for the poor and less fortunate, about keeping hope alive for a better future.

Because of that, I took issue with the way he was framing racism as the number one goal, above everything else. It's not! It's just part of making sure nobody gets left behind from where we're currently at and where we're going.

Well I had to explain why I'm still at work and not for example phone banking Hillary supporters.

Why does Bernie deserve a concession? What do the Democrats gain?
Reform nominating process,
We can do this without chopping off Debbie's head. If you mean superdelegates, then yes, this would be the chair's responsibility. But much of the contention also lies in closed primaries and caucuses. That's up to state party committees.

15 minimum wage,
This is not appropriate for every state.

So, I have a theory but I can't find much info on this anywhere. Gun advocates argue enacting strict federal gun control laws is useless because the majority of guns used in crime are illegally obtained, and that America doesn't really have a gun problem. I'm still unable to refute point two, but on the first point, the guns have to come from somewhere right? State level gun laws are inefficient because, if there's a state with loose gun laws around, the black market will be filled from those out-of-state guns. Therefore, if you enact strict gun laws federally, you'll reduce the overall circulation of guns, resulting in less guns overall, therefore less gun deaths?

I pretended to spend 10 minutes looking for the 'windows key' on my Apple keyboard, it was fun.
