I found this comment on Reddit. I don't agree with it, but I thought it was interesting. Maybe you will too.

As a life long Democrat and as someone who's been working with my hands my whole life, and as someone who's family immigrated here and have been working with their hands and have been voting Democrat ever since they've became citizens, it's nice to know that we don't count just because we're not white.

It looks like about a third of the people that went to obama's inaguration went to trump's inaguration which is just awful. I think a decent republican would have gotten more people excited to watch their inaguration.

They already changed Trump's POTUS Twitter header image, from Obama's inauguration crowd to an out-of-focus and heavily compressed image of Trump staring out a window.

Really should have been Hillary up ther -- I mean God Saint Bernard up there today.

..I totally had this amazing image of a giant Saint Bernard in glasses woofing his or her way through an inauguration speech, and it was glorious.

The Women's March on Washington not putting Hillary Clinton's name on the list of Honorees is ridiculous.

Not really sure that's the right message you need to be sending here.

In any case here are the list of "honorees":

Bella Abzug • Corazon Aquino • Ella Baker • Grace Lee Boggs
Berta Cáceres • Rachel Carson • Shirley Chisholm • Angela Davis
Miss Major Griffin Gracy • LaDonna Harris • Dorothy I. Height
bell hooks • Judith Heumann • Dolores Huerta • Marsha P. Johnson
Barbara Jordan • Yuri Kochiyama • Winona LaDuke
Audre Lorde • Wilma Mankiller • Diane Nash • Sylvia Rivera
Barbara Smith • Gloria Steinem • Hannah G. Solomon
Harriet Tubman • Edith Windsor • Malala Yousafzai

Leaving Clinton off that list seems fairly petty. She is functionally required to go to the inauguration, being an ex First Lady.

I think it is - I suspect this case ends up being the one that gets sent up to SCOTUS to potentially end much of the gerrymandering you see.

It's really petty. It would have been very bad if she and Bill skipped today.

Can I vote for her for President? She has been doing God's work for ages now <3

Can the case get there before Trump puts a lunatic on the court?

I hope all the bad things in the world happen to McConnell for denying Obama his last SC pick

So those of us in liberal enclaves of the country, what can we do to get involved with grassroots efforts?

Also seems like we can't use whitehouse.gov as a trusted source anymore.

Thing is, the person who ruled against Alabama is on the shortlist of Trump's SC appointees. The issue with gerrymandering isn't that SCOTUS doesn't think it is unconstitutional - it's that they have needed some kind of rigorous alternative methodology - something that recently may have been achieved. If that is the case, Trump pick or not, it'll probably go against gerrymandering.

Aside: What did you all think of Mayor Pete during the DNC debate?

So.... A possible candidate for Trump's science advisor looks exactly like a sterotypical basement dweller.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wa...yed-for-trumps-science-adviser/?client=safari

He also created a computer program named Linda... That he supposedly named after a porn star.
In his 2013 book, “America-Lite: How Imperial Academia Dismantled Our Culture (and Ushered in the Obamacrats),” he condemned “belligerent leftists” and blamed intellectualism for the disintegration of patriotism and traditional family values. He attributed the decline in American culture to “an increasing Jewish presence at top colleges.” (Gelernter himself is Jewish.)
Wikipedia said:
Gelernter is known for his critiques of cultural illiteracy on America's college campuses. In 2015, he commented, "They [students] know nothing about art. They know nothing about history. They know nothing about philosophy. And because they have been raised as not even atheists, they don’t rise to the level of atheists, insofar as they’ve never thought about the existence or nonexistence of God. It has never occurred to them. They know nothing about the Bible." [12]

In October 2016, he wrote an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal endorsing Donald Trump for President, calling Hillary Clinton "as phony as a three-dollar bill," and saying that Barack Obama "has governed like a third-rate tyrant." [13]
What hell have we arrived at?

It's nice to have the adults back in charge once again. Also, best inauguration speech since Reagan.

This is a great day for America. I haven't been this proud for our country in a long time.

I seriously don't know how trump gets relected if his favourability rating is already in the 30's. He probably won't ever try to appeal to the people that voted against him and it's not a guarantee that he will get a second term at this point.

He got elected with a favorability rating in the 30s.

There are two ways to interpret this post.

1. This a racial slur to Obama and are calling him 'boy.'
2. You have the idea that Trump acts like an adult and not like a person who spends 12 years in a feud with Rosie O'Donnell while he calls her fat over and over again.

...... I think the racial slur interpretation (while less likely) is actually kinder to you. Because straight up racism might be less damaging for one's character than thinking that someone who spent the last five days of a presidential campaign complaining about Jay Z not doing a concert for him is "adult" is....

"Adults back in charge" is the best post I've ever seen.

Ever.

"Why can't we use nukes."

"I want my briefings to be a page long."

Take the Lincoln avatar off, duder.
