That much I knew. Older people, who are generally Republican, still watch tv for their news, while younger people, who generally lean Democrat, get their news from the internet, social media, etc.
It's no surprise Fox is on top by a pretty healthy margin.

Straight from my facebook page. I mentioned the absurdity in Romney suspending his campaign and then campaigning, and then I am greeted with this beauty:

Then Maxx trolled the shit out of him, and he still didn't get it.
Also today, in the breakroom at work, was the discussion that Obama has a dead guy's SSN. When I mentioned that the story was false, they reverted back to the, "You really believe that too, huh? You believe anything you read. We get the real news."

also, I'd imagine no one will be mentioning Nate Silver on November 7th, if Obama wins. Joe will go back to "Romney wasn't conservative enough" mode, conservatives will cry about voter fraud, and the mainstream media will cherish any chaos that ensues.
At this rate, I might be flipping back and forth between him and Washington Journal on November 7th.

Most likely scenario, of course, is that the Romney campaign is seeing the same uphill battle in the swing states that we are. They can't count on getting to 270 based on swing states alone, so... desperation time.

And I have an unusually good feeling about the media calling-out Romney on his "relief" rally.
My wife posted a FB update stating "It irritates me to no end that many people assume those in need of social services and assistance are either lazy, drug addicts, or both." She got a whole bunch of "Likes" from family members who all support mandatory drug testing of welfare recipients.

This also actually highlights one of the advantages of the Electoral College, even if the chance of a material effect on the popular vote margin is slight. A mega-cane can wipe out the turnout on the highly populated Atlantic coast, a snowpocalypse could bury the turnout in the upper Midwest, the Big One could drop California's turnout into the Pacific, but what little turnout remains will probably give a result similar to if the turnout hadn't been Act-of-Godded.

I asked one of the idiots at my work what Obama would have to do for them to admit he did a good thing. "Kill himself, and even then he didn't do it soon enough."
Half of these folks couldn't pick these countries out on a map.
I have to say, it's amazing to me that they have completely stopped suggesting that Romney is winning any swing states in their strategy memos. Their big hits in this memo are that Obama bought ad time in Minnesota and is sending Biden to PA. No actual references to Romney leading in any polls, because he mostly isn't.
If they can't get a tie, then they'll push for the "Romney is even more of a buffoon than Bush Jr and Palin combined" angle.
At least I'm hoping that's the case.

I was discussing this very thing with some people the other day. There are some advantages to the electoral college, and I feel this is a decent one.

You got it the other way round. Glenn Beck and Limbaugh don't believe what they say. Glenn Beck is even on record saying he's a court jester/doing it for the money (rolling stone interview). Limbaugh is rolling in so much piles of moneybags he doesn't even care what he says.
Sean Hannity, truly, fully, seriously believes with every fiber of his bone the filth he says. Along with that Bolling guy, Brian Kilmeade and Tucker Carlson.
