at which point Democrats show that it has been uniformly Republican-led voter fraud that has headlined this year, and then Republicans go away humbled when they realize altogether that voting fraud is a BS issue? Right?

Republican voter fraud? What a preposterous idea!

Poll trutherism is fucking amazing, I love it. I positively cannot wait to see the rationalization for when their predictions fail to materialize and the votes go largely as polled.

They've already been laying the mental groundwork for months - stolen election via massive voter fraud.

Last week I had a Republican at my job tell me that Early Voting was UnAmerican and that it continues to demonstrate what a Marxist, Kenyan, Muslim upbringing Obama has that he pushes it so hard.

so...

whatever rationalization it takes i suppose

Months? You mean YEARS, they were doing that in 2008 with their daily attacks on Acorn

I really truly think they planned it out (either the ID laws win it for them or they have a scapegoat). If obama thinks a win is gonna put them in their place with a rejection of their ideas he's gonna be in for a wide awake. They're gonna go hard again.

Pretty sure the GOP has nothing but an air campaign here in NC and OFA in NC was real strong in 2008. There's a lot of movement in the state's demographics-I'm not saying that NC is favorable for another round of supporting Obama, but closing the state to a 1-in-3 shot (for example) isn't a bad thing.

'Obama stole the election with early voting shenanigans'

He already stole his first term

Wow, Maddow played some video of Biden's speech at McGovern's funeral. Pretty powerful stuff. That guy gives a damned good speech.

After looking at Dean Chambers' facebook I'm starting to wonder if he's the ultimate troll. His favorite books are the Bible and Green Eggs & Ham. His interests also include working out, cooking, and "health and wellness." This can't be real...

It was on cspan today. Good stuff. Biden really knows how to connect.

He really does. His speech to the widowed military spouses was also amazingly touching.

He does have experience unfortunately with loss which I'm sure is what he is able to draw from to give these speeches

Wife and I going to vote tomorrow morning, Florida. So excited, lets get Obama re elected Florida! We are also going to a poll watching class that evening at a Obama office, and that's what my wife will be doing election day. I'd hate to be the Republican that decides to go to her polling site and tries to start shit election day.

i picked up my fams absentee ballots and dropped them them off today. +6 obama in FL.

Because he says good news for Obama.

Though in his daily poll update posts he has always made sure to mention pieces of data that are good news for both candidates. Like before the Denver debate when Obama was way up, he still wrote stuff like "But on the upside for Romney...". I think a lot of Repubs know his methodology is sound and started watching him just when he showed the race tightening.

I'm kinda curious about that college prediction a while back that predicted a huge win for Romney. If they were to redo it with the present data, would their results be any different?

Has anyone taken into consideration what kind of impact, if any, this storm will have on turnout, polling places, etc. If it knocks out roads or power who knows what will happen by election day.

Given what happened last year with the snowstorm, I'm hoping the affected states are taking better precautions, and I've heard some utility companies are cancelling any off-days during the period in case it gets really bad. And if they can't get the power on, hopefully they have paper ballots at least in case of emergencies.

Hypothetical: The storm is really, really bad and ravages the East Coast. Power outages, everything closed down, just a huge mess. Is there a contingency plan for the election or is it tough shit and it goes down on the 6th regardless?

Who is this more likely to affect? Will turnout for the poor be less since it probably limits early voting even more? Will the rich not want to go vote if it's still storming on election day?

Honestly I have no idea, postponing the election is a possibility I suppose but somehow I doubt it would happen. We can always hope that a week is enough to clean the debris and whatnot up.

Doubtful. Obama's race probably cost him support in 2008. But the Bradley Effect is a more specific proposition. It posits that white voters lie to pollsters because of social desirability. But the evidence is weak. To the extent the Bradley Effect existed, it's diminished to a negligible margin.

Particularly now, when the people that wouldn't vote for Obama over his skin color are just as happy to simply claim they're not voting for him because he's a "socialist."

Postponing the election would only work towards Obama's master plan of a permanent presidency.

Its starts as a limited state of emergency...

Why would the Bradley Effect wait 4 years to happen?

If anything, it would have happened in 2008.

They'll probably need to wait until after the storm to determine if they can get everything up and running before the election. My only concern with moving the date would be that a number of people could get confused or forget.

Forget? You think the news will want to talk about ANYTHING else? Sure we'll hear about the aftermath for a few days but that'll get old, they won't be able to resist.
