What mutiplayer FPS would you recommend? I haven't played one in a long time, how is Arma 3 multiplayer? any others I should look at? I already have CS and all its variations.
Yo, Dragon Ball Xenoverse owns.
How does it compare to the other dragonball games? I'm really tempted to get that.
Gameplay wise it is below Budokai 3, Shin Budokais and Burst Limit, but above everything else (also apples to oranges since it's a 3D brawler rather than 2D fighter). In letting you customize your character and their moveset, it is amazingHow does it compare to the other dragonball games? I'm really tempted to get that.
I'm getting this error.
Anyone getting the same? Happens right after I click checkout. Was working fine yesterday.
Are we gonna have a "haul" thread or is this the place to do it?
No. You just won't receive a spare copy of it.
@Mogwai, I just bought it and got three serials for the base game, Columbias Finest and Season Pass.

Before the sale ends is there something in the vein of Dungeon Defenders kicking about unnoticed?
Me and the boy are currently enjoying DD but 2 doesn't currently offer controller support. We're looking for something easy to play, controller supported, local Co op.
I already have (off the top of my head):
Magicka
Monaco
Sonic ASRT
Many Lego Games
Portal 2
...thanks.
Have you tried Sanctum? It says partial controller support and co-op (don't know if this means local or not), but it's the same style of game as DD.

Bioshock Infinite Complete is $8 on GameAgent right now, much cheaper than Steam.

There aren't going to be any more daily discounts. What you see on the front page is the last set of them. The "last day" is effectively two days, now that the encores are locked in.I am just waiting for the last day to see if there is any better discount for Dark Souls.
I love it, but it's not the kind of game to put on for an hour or so, you have to invest a good amount of time to join up with a good squad before you travel to the front-lines and there's a lot to learn if you haven't played before. Also, it's very slow paced, with bursts of intense firefights. Watch some videos of the coop missions of Invade and Annex for an idea.

The Rayman games are incredible. My gf and I absolutely loved them and even 100%'d both of them. Before the sale ends is there something in the vein of Dungeon Defenders kicking about unnoticed?

I'm surprised there have been no mentions of Insanity's Blade, which is down to $2.69 during this sale.
So far, it's an AWESOME retro style game. Nice balance between 8- and 16-bit. It is surprisingly good. Most of these "retro" games on Steam are cheap junk, but this is something people actually would've liked in the Genesis/SNES era.
So far - and keep in mind, I'm still early in - Insanity's Blade is much easier than Volgarr. However, I'm playing on "normal" difficulty. For all I know, it's super hard on one of the higher difficulty levels. Graphically, Volgarr is comparable to Rastan or other arcade games from that era - whereas, Insanity's Blade looks like a very souped-up 8-bit game or early 16-bit game with extra effects that probably weren't possible at the time, and I mean that in the best way. It's on my clean up list as I wait for cards to sell, how would you compare it to Volgarr? Perhaps not fair but it's my standard for this kind of throwback game more so than Shovel Knight.

might get Valdis too after seeing it @ Giantbomb

What do you mean by meticulously well thought out?Hmm that's a shame. Graphically it looks great but I was hoping for something as meticulously well thought out as Volgarr.
Looks great but I don't think it's a local Co op game![]()
The Obscure games are a less obvious choice, also Rayman Origins & Legends.
The Rayman games are incredible. My gf and I absolutely loved them and even 100%'d both of them.
Maybe Westerado? I bought it the other day to play on single player, but I noticed it also has co-op and it might be fun.
Oh and there's also the Trine games. I don't love them, but my gf does, and they're well known for their coop.
Hey man, check out Forced! I had a good time couch co-oping a few chapters of it, pretty great co-op. Very 4 Swords like if you have played that before.
I don't think the boy will appreciate an Obscure game. Looks a little scary for a young 'un![]()
Did they ever update Jade Empire on Steam to the not-shit GOG version?
Valdis Story is really good, great combat and exploration.
The devs also added quite a bit of stuff for free post release.
Haven't played Randal's but...
I'd go Valdis Story. It's great bang for buck even at $7, but GOG still has it at 75% off for next 4 hours.
Valdis Story is the best combat focused Metroidvania on Steam. I'd go for that.
Out of that list I have only played Jade Empire but I really enjoyed the game on PC. Played through the title via backwards compatibility on Xbox 360 a long time ago and playing through the PC version a bit last year and also this year it was clear just how much better this version is. Also, GoG has it for $2.99:

I have £5 left... Any recommendations?
Snakebird is great puzzle game.
I just double dipped on RE6 for $7.50. I've already played the game to death on 360 but the promise of the RE6 combat system at 1080p60 was too much for me to pass up. Quite possibly my favorite shooter of last gen. I figure worst case scenario if I don't end up playing it in the next few weeks I can request a refund.
I did the same. Reading comparisons to Portal 2, and seeing praise for its story/writing made me think I might really like that game. Wasn't even on my radar before.I just panic bought The Talos Principle.

Capcom games last gen on PC were great. RE6 looks good at 1080p60fps, you could probably downsample it from even higher res with modern graphic cards, the engine runs super great like other MTframework games. Game is hella fun too.
In that case, can't you just return it? I'm not that up to date on what the rules are for that though. You're not going to play it before the next sale hits in the winter.![]()
