Holy fuck how much is TekSavvy going to go up?
They are raising their prices AGAIN and getting rid of Zap the Cap.
You also need to pay $5 extra a month to opt out of this bullshit
The SIR Policy is TekSavvys attempt to get smarter at how we do things when the network gets congested during the download day. This will help us keep user experiences great and prices low. In a nutshell, TekSavvy will continue to provision bandwidth aggressively to ensure an uncongested experience, but will now also begin to take best-efforts traffic management measures if the network gets congested between 8 a.m. and 2 a.m.
Alex Anthopoulos not coming back to the Jays. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/alex-anthopoulos-leaving-blue-jays-after-rejecting-extension/
Sports talk radio over the past few days have been hinting that there might be friction with the incoming president Mark Shapiro.
I don't think the issue was with money with Anthopoulos if he rejected the extension. It's probably that he couldn't make it work with Shaprio. Wonder how Rogers is going to spin this after the incredible run we just had in the post season.
Hmm, I think I may switch to Start.ca with this recent news.
We'll stick with Teksavvy for now, but if / when we move next year, we'll be looking for a different provide. Spotty service, unappealing prices and a nightmare setting up at our new place last time we moved.. no thank you. Definitely not going through Rogers, or Bell, even with the possibility of negotiating a sweetheart deal, but there are plenty of options right now.
Nearly 3 years in, they are my favourite company. I've posted this before but to repeat - I would pay them more at this point
Not even a single price increase which given inflation is like a price cut!
CC change? 1 quick form online.
Invoice? 1 line invoice, emailed PDF, simple to follow format.
Speed change? Called and they answered the phone in like 2 minutes.
ISP email address? I messaged them and it was setup up overnight.
Rock solid modem (cable 476).
There was a weather related outage and they were on Twitter posting they were aware faster than I could actually tweet them!!!
I've also recommended them to less technically inclined relatives and they LOVE the simplicity and Canadian LOCAL customer service.
I really don't care about plus-minus $5 here and there if the service for something so essential is near perfect.
Highly recommend Start.
(End ad pitch lol)
I've been with TekSavvy for a few months now... No problems yet besides the initial install for me either. It looks like I'm not affected by the TS increases because they're only for cable.
Every Teksavvy problem I've had has been due to Rogers technicians fucking up one way or another.
I started a new account with them, after the trial 3 months I called in to cancel and they offered me that rate right away. Or I think it's that rate.Fuck. I want that plan. How long did you have to stay with them to get that?

They can go lower if you play hard to get.
Here is my bill.
It's sad when wholesale providers have to stoop to this level. Anyone with ebox or start? My plan with Teksavvy is grandfathered so it won't get a price increase but I don't like where this is going. At this rate I'll be stuck at 2Mbps/up forever.
Does it have the Yoshi Amiibo with it?If any of you want Yoshi Woolly World for $45.20 and are going to the meetup let me know before I return it.
Jane and Finch has nice views >:]There's a possibility I may need to relocate to GTA for a little while. There's an opportunity i have which may take me to GTA then to San Fran then back to Vancouver.
The office would be around Bay Street and Queens Quay wherever that is.
Knowing my taste which I think most of you know - if not, http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=963976 , where should I live? If I want short commute time via only transit (no driving) and want a nice view.
Price limit would be $3000/mo and it would need to be furnished.
No, it's from FS E3 deal so it's just the game.Does it have the Yoshi Amiibo with it?
CityPlace. Trust me. If anything says Tabris, it's CityPlace.
Damn... :/No, it's from FS E3 deal so it's just the game.

Just to clarify, I want to live in a skyscraper.

the Absolute Towers in the 'City' Center
All the cool stuff in Toronto is not anywhere near a skyscraper
I've only been to downtown Toronto so far and it seemed cool. It was at the Fairmont Royal York. It was kinda close to the hockey hall of fame and not too far from the Roger Centre.
Is that not a good area for cool stuff? What do you define as cool stuff?
I want an area with the best restaurants, shopping, bars & clubs, entertainment, etc - while still having access to beach and park within walking distance?
What's that area in Toronto and is it not near the Fairmont Royal York?
Of course it is feasible come on man. This is in another city though. I want the same experience as I do now being able to live downtown Toronto within 5-10 minute walk to everything I would ever want. Ideally closer to waterfront so I can walk down to the water or a park in 15 mins max. In a skyscraper (or high-rise) with a city/water view. Modern building too.
Is that feasible?
we're just teasing a bit. Check Here:I've only been to downtown Toronto so far and it seemed cool. It was at the Fairmont Royal York. It was kinda close to the hockey hall of fame and not too far from the Roger Centre.

Note that the ranking weighs such factors as schools instead of considerations you may be interested in such as *ahem* ease of hiding dead bodies* You're a rich single guy so you can pretty much pick any spot downtown to be honestDon't know what you guys think about Toronto Life but they ranked 140 Toronto neighbourhoods.

Haha, same here. I've been at the place I'm at now for about a year and a half and the whole time I've been using Teksavvy and have experienced only one issue: My cable signal was gone when I came home from work one day. After talking to a Teksavvy rep and troubleshooting they had to send a tech out to investigate the issue. Turns out the Rogers guy who had just recently been here to hook up another tenant literally unplugged me while he was working in the cable box, and plugged me back in in the wrong spot.
