Walked by there last week. What makes this GOAT..?

Well they make their own noodles by hand, and they've got a pretty damn good recipe for it since it's probably the best noodles I've had in the city. Thin, but wide and very chewy. The ingredients they use are very fresh, and the flavours are pretty much perfect for what it is. The pork buns are fantastic too, since they use shredded pork belly it's very moist and soft.
This one is my favourite, the Yo Po Biang Biang Mian. It's a weird mix of pork, tomatoes, scrambled eggs, potatoes, carrots and chili oil but it's delicious. It kind of reminds me of home since we used to eat scrambled eggs and tomatoes all the time.

Edit: ok looked at them. The mains for Alo looked good. The rest...ehhh...I kinda expected more considering the reputation it currently has. As for sugar shack, God. Damn. O_O
The pictures don't really do it justice I assure you. The way they balance the flavours and textures is not something you can see in a picture. It's probably the one of the most complex foods I've had.
Wait are they gonna be showing Jays games when they're on?
I'd be tempted lol. I have seen 4K TV demos before though. I'm more interested in what the experience is like for live baseball and hockey.

I was getting FB messages all yesterday about that blogto post. I don't know if that place and handle the extra business it will draw. There's usually line ups and it's been open for a while now. I just get take out or go in between meal rushes.

Ha, must have been somebody else. It didn't even occur to me at the time but yeah I didn't see Asahi Black anywhere. It doesn't look like they stopped making it, it's still a listed product on their website. I dunno. Weird.
I did have my share of regular Asahi tho. Getting beer out of a vending machine was quite a novelty, and I never tired of it.
Also, as luck would have it, there was a GAF meetup in Tokyo the same week I was there, so that was neat. It was a strange comfort, as it was almost exactly like a Toronto meetup, just replace the soju with umeshu.

There are a bunch of bars up north and the "other" Koreatown up there too. I think it's convenient for Quad, EM, and Kave too.

April is busy as fuck for me. Two parties this coming week, my wife's birthday, my own birthday later in the month, mother in-laws birthday late in the month, days games and mix in a few work pub nights. Yikes.
If it's a Friday, 15th and 22nd are no go's for me, but I'm not required to make all of these, so if one of those Fridays is popular, make it so.

On another note, "apartment licensing" possibly becoming a thing. 10 units minimum, so all those grungy basement apartments won't be touched, fear not.
They should get rid of rooming houses also.
Already got tickets for EGLX the weekend of the 30th even though I've got kind of a bad feeling about it being worthwhile. For all their talk about being this huge gaming expo it seems as if nobody knows about it. I plan to at least try VR stuff there though, and the SFV tournament is on the 30th specifically.
I think cripplegate would know best.

I only go to restaurants uptown. I only go to bars with you guys...that said a gun to my head, I'd say Monk's Table, but I'm not sure it can accommodate all of us. And it's close to Cripplegate's work too.
If I wasn't prediabetic, I definitely would check out more places, but drinking once a month with you clowns is more than enough.

Well, if anyone is good for both let me know in the thread. I voted for the 23rd but I can probably do the 30th too. Sounds like it is Krae definitely can't do the 23rd.
