A part of me wants to see how bad it is, but I also don't want give the studio money for making something so bad.

I'll just find a theater still playing mad max.

I'm curious to see how bad it is too, but I don't want to send a positive message to Fox, nor do I want to waste money on something that sounds so boring. I'm sure waiting won't hurt too bad.

Mad Max looks like it did okay: Worldwide gross is $368,257,562

From that Rotten Tomatoes screen grab, you can even see Michael B. Jordan questioning why they had to cast a black Johnny Storm.

Neuralizers handed out to everyone.

I stopped watching when he said that he "liked" the part that the government was trying to weaponize these kids.

I hate all superhero movies where there is "too much government" or "too much military"

let superheroes be superheroes

Comics and their superheroes have always utilized this methodology. Spider-Man, Hulk, etc came from the fear of nuclear power and the effects on people. X-Men played into minorities integrating into society, fighting for acceptance.
Superhero-movies tapping into the whole "militarize every invention" bit, that's just superheroes being superheroes, in fact.

Holy shit, Rise of the Silver Surfer got 37% on Rotten Tomatoes.

How on earth can you make a worse movie than that?

Well, you take the Fantastic Four license, and you try to make it grounded. And just to be sure, you completely change the origins, motivation and look of the most iconic villain in the history of comics.

So, Marvel, call up Fox right now, be all like "son, stop" and tell Fox to give you them rights back right now. Then end Infinity War Pt 1 with Dr Doom taking the Infinity Gauntlet.

8% now and the audience now has tossed the popcorn bucket, leaving it at only 55% excitement. Can we get down to 4% and 44% just for fun?

It's a shame to see Michael B. Jordan and Toby Kebbell wasted in this. With the right script and direction (and in Doom's case a good design) they could have been really good adaptations of the characters.

Also does The Thing have Jamie Bell's voice or does he have something more fitting? I've forgotten if any trailers even have him speaking.

Mission impossible?

Never. I am a major fan of the TV series and Cruise obliterated all of that by focusing on Ethan Hunt.

Inside Out is the clear winner there.

Definitely Inside Out.

Yeah, definitely leaning heavily towards Inside Out or Insidious 3 with Inside Out being the more likely choice here.

Wow, Josh Trank just fucking LOVES
ripping off
Akira, doesn't he.

That's an insult to AKIRA. If you rip something off at least do a good job at it.

That hallway scene makes me think of Akira. Some small elements of Chronicle make me think of Akira.

Part of me thinks Trank just wants to make Akira.

EDIT: Goddamn, beaten.

goddamnit it's a single digit rotten score. now I am compelled to watch it. fuck.

yeah dude has a major hardon for doing akira. which is noble, but probably not going to happen now.

What Kate Mara is saying about her fan experience at Comic-Con:
"We spent a whole day there, sort of working and doing press, and you don't really get to meet the fans. So the next morning, Jamie Bell and I decided, 'Well, we want the experience of Comic-Con. So let's just go out, let's walk to get a coffee amongst all of the fans,'" Mara explained to Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan. "And we were like, 'Well, maybe this is a bad idea. We'll get mobbed and it'll be crazy,' and not one person...not one person noticed us."
Damn this is hilarious and sad at the same time. -_-
