Did a few runs tonight - can reliably beat the first level but so far haven't managed to navigate the second level as my bullet hell reaction time has not quite acclimated to the more dangerous enemies.
So far my two favorite guns are the T-Shirt Cannon and the Banana, which I assume is a reference to Worms because it's awesome.

That sounds insane. What does it shoot?
1 shot for a blast of lightning, holding it for like a few seconds makes it consume 3 bullets and destroys everything in the room. has 50 bullets
It one-shotted everything I encountered on the 2nd floor, even the lead maiden.
sure, just beware of tougher enemies
there is a full-room-wide weapon tho that also insta kills weaker enemies and it's a
camera

Just had a weird death. Somehow got lit on fire even though I was only fighting bullet dudes with guns and it burned through 4 full hearts of life. Sucked.

Is it just me or is this game a lot harder than BOI?
think about how much you've played this and how much you've played Binding of Isaac
big part of all these games is them feeling fucking impossible on first day and after some time you start to go "yeah I can get to fourth chamber without getting hit"

whats up with the the gates that can't be opened? They always have a cell but no matter what key I have i can't open it

The Lower Case r. You got me wondering if I was using a flame weapon that I had picked up but the little death screen shows part of the world BULLET lol

Yeah, I have a gold key but it's a doorway facing east and I can't open it. Does it require a silver key? I'm pretty sure I tried that before but it didnt work as well

Definitely not the cell key. It's a door that blocks me from getting into the room where I use the cell key. I've encountered this door and can never open it. The room was cleared but sadly I died on the boss

Might be a stretch, but maybe it's a one-way door (door that only unlocks on one side)? They're marked with red on the minimap.

My favorite so far is the gun that says "BULLET BULLET BULLET".
I believe it's a story/progression item. It doesn't do anything for you while it's in your inventory, you just need to give it to someone deeper in the dungeon. Once you do that, I think that task is done, and you can't purchase it anymore.

I would really, really like an auto-reload option. Drop rates seem a tad stingy as well.
Also, the fireplaces. You can put the fire out with a waterbased weapon, go inside the fireplace, and push a button, which will open up a secret room. The secret room shows up on the map, so you don't have to run around looking for it.
In my only secret room so far was a hatch in the floor and I needed two keys to open it. I only had one and got killed before I could get a second one.

If you catch on fire you need to roll to cancel the status effect.

Ah thanks. I was busy dodging 4 or 5 bullet dudes thinking it was going to wear off on its own after a heart or two.

I wasn't going to buy this originally but the idea of a good Isaac style game was too tempting. Enjoying it a lot, favourite gun so far is either the Deck4rd or the Railgun.
The difficulty level is similar, or this is probably harder.
The combat feels really different though, but I think that if you dig HM, you might like this one as well.

Anyone playing on a laptop? I can't get 60fps on a gt650m. Which seems silly.
It is technically a 3D game so perhaps not all that silly? I assume you tried turning down the visual settings?
Turn lighting to low, shader to medium or low, and realtime reflections off. The debris doesn't affect the framerate much
