I feel like, while Zoe has become independently bearable, the Tatenstein plotline remains the real drag on the season (as minor as it is). Aside from that the only problem I had with this episode was the lack of Fiona.

The positives
- Sarah Paulson finally getting something interesting to do.
- Getting real movement/connection with the husband material. I assumed he was just a serial killer based on all the other men in Sarah Paulson's AHS life, so I was glad that there was genuine relevance to his actions.
- I liked the Axeman stuff in this episode. But will it bog down the next [few] episode?

Misty is great and I hope they start to show where her story is going. If the main coven are the X-Men, is she going to start her own X-Factor? Or is it a Brotherhood of Evil Mutants Sisterhood of Vengeful Undead Witches?

The Spalding story is obviously he’s crossed a line. He didn’t kill Madison but what he did to defile her body. So the girls find that out and have to take revenge on him. They have to make him pay for his dastardly necrophilia and bad fashion outfits.

So does this mean that Spaulding fucked Madison's corpse?

Yeesh.

What if she went all psycho and those are just hallucinations of her subconscious to justify her actions against her daughter?

*shyamalantwist.gif*

Maybe her stresses over health ave caused her to manifest new abilities, like summoning the great cloaked sulfuric demon! =)

Maybe it's just me, but I took his little necrophilia speech as purely an attempt to throw them off the Fiona trail. There was never any other indication that he was using her corpse as anything except a tea party doll.

Edit: I mean, him doing it is perfectly in line with the show, but I don't think it was actually intended to be anything other than a gross out line thrown at the girls.

Yeah that's what I thought. He's certainly a creepy fucker but I don't think he actually fucked her

I interpreted that scene that way as well. I thought he was just being disgusting to cover for Fiona.

Blinded by the luminous glory that is David Bowie's physical manifestation.
Yeah, it's him covering for Fiona since Fiona is his one true love. "This is the one last thing I will say with my tongue: I love you. *slices tongue out*"

It remains to be seen if the girls will figure out Fiona did it or not.

I think it's only a matter of time until Cordelia finds out.

I'm wondering if framing Myrtle could throw us off to the fact that it really was Myrtle that threw acid in Cordelia's face and that it was known what blinding her would do. It seems like it could have been one of those desperation moves so Cordelia could eventually realize what Fiona has done.

Oh well, I guess you guys are right. I just assumed he was a sick fucker ever since the weird look he gave her in the pilot.

Anyone else think this is the best season of AHS so far?

I thought murder house would take some beating, but this season is just going from strength to strength. How are the viewing figures this season?

Higher than ever apparently, which is more than encouraging. I actually documented them for some time in the AsylumOT.

Episode 1:
Asylum - 3.85
Coven - 5.54

Episode 2:
A - 3.06
C - 4.51

Episode 3:
A - 2.40
C - 3.78

Episode 4:
A - 2.65
C - 3.71

Episode 5:
A - 2.78
C - 3.80

Episode 6:
A - 1.89
C - 4.16

Not only is it getting more views than what Asylum did, but it's also enjoying far less severe drops too. Which is more than encouraging.

Season 4 already confirmed - and both Kathy and Angela asked to return too. I see only good things for AHS tbh.

Thank you.

I'm so glad it's doing well. It's such an enjoyable show and I'm hoping for many more seasons.

Is there any confirmation that Season 4 will be Jessica Lange's last season? (I thought I read this somewhere) This would be devastating to me!

She said that Season 4 would be her last season. She also said that she "wasn't sure" about doing a third season after Asylum because she found it draining to film. So she could be lying or change her mind again after Season 4.

BUT her contract does expire once she completes filming of Season 4 - so if she were to leave, then would be the time to do it more than ever.

It is a sad prospect :( but honestly I feel like the cast can carry it without her. They have to ditch Taissa though.

No Jessica would be sad but at the same time it gives other cast members time to shine. Jessica has been the main character twice and was basically the main in Murder House. And she always outdoes everyone.

But yes, ditch Taissa. And personally, I can totally do without Evan. But everyone else from this season are more than welcome to return IMO.

We need Evan Peters to be a badass again and not some sissy or Frankenkyle. He definitely gets a pass for how awesome he was in season 1.

This was a good episode, easily known as a set up episode though, plus the short teaser for the next episode is apparently showing two people going to the voodoo side.

Yeah! I didn't like the first one very much, but had a blast with S2... This one started off a little down (compared to S2) to me, but now I'm enjoying it even more.

Not a bad episode, but we really need more Misty and maybe it's just a lack of sleep talking, but Zoe is starting to grow on me a little...

And yay that Madison is back. I hope she goes back to her bitchy self sooner rather than later...

I cant help but feel AHS is lacking a Teen Wolf esque picture breakdown of every episode. There is a hole in the market!

Oh, Shirley MacLaine is the actress I always get mixed up with the one who plays Susan in My Family, Zoe Wanamaker (Madame Hooch in Harry Potter)

New episode tonight?

Never know these days as Thanksgiving (holiday season) is around the corner. Maybe this is the last week before a hiatus?

American TV scheduling infuriates me sometimes. At least there we'll have had 8 or so weeks uninterrupted, which is more than some other shows I watch
