I don't think this is cringe at all really. It's just a marketing partnership for a mobile game. It's just her sprite and it looks pretty good. She's doing the usual promotion. IMO this is very harmless and the least cringe thing I've seen when it comes to gaming and cross promotion of this sort.
Or Yokai Watch in XIV! Or Gackt in Crisis Core! lol, they have done stuff like this plenty of times. It might be annoying, but it's harmless

I wonder what was the thought process at Square that made this possible. At the very least, having a celebrity endorsing your game can do wonders for its downloads, as the Kim Kardashian one proved (Even if they are completely different scenarios).
I expect nothing less than an abysmally low chance at the gacha, so this may attract the same kind of whales that made the Kardashian game to thrive.

It's not a made up issue. I hate things being over played to death, which is what happens these days. To the point you can just become so tired of seeing whatever it is. Someone can't not want to be overdone to?
Why not a mix of stuff? I feel like the nitpicking here on a simple comment is going far overboard. If you guys like her, great. I just don't feel like she fits in. Of course, I don't really feel like any celeb colab fits in with this, but they'll find ways I'm sure.
Biggest issue I'll have in BE is the pollution of the pool with units to get even more in the way of the units I do want. Is there also something wrong in that?

Why does it matter to you if Ariana is a popular musician that has exposure? If you don't want to listen to her or buy her shit, that's easy, but it's so weird to me that you're annoyed with seeing a mainstream artist everywhere. Like, who cares? Ignore that shit.
I may not be into sports, but exposure is everywhere in the states. I'm not going to hope sports didn't exist because other people do get enjoyment out of it. I'll just choose not to watch it or buy anything related.
