Wow, if all copies are throwed in the bin, then if WB wants to sell the game in retails they have to reprint everything, it could take a while indeed.

So I finally gave it a shot. FYI my card is a gtx560 with 1.3GB of vram.

Well... it's pretty, but it's not really smooth.
It indeed stutters like fuck, but I can keep the game at around 20~ 25~ FPS on foot on Normal (all). In the Batmobile, goddamn it's slow, around 10 fps tops.

I send my phyical copy back to Amazon. An think about a new card.

Totally wronger about Nintendo's business decisions.
The game is playable for me, but I'm weary of how it will behave once I get further into the story. I've seen people say it starts to perform horribly at certain points. Maybe unlocking all the islands has performance impacts?

I think I'm just going to wait for the re-release.

It hasn't gotten worse for me if you've already unlocked the batmobile and fought a crowd of drones.

For AMD people still having performance issues, check whether or not you actually have the 15.6 beta driver. Even if it says it is the correct driver, do a clean install. There was a mix-up on the AMD website which made me install the wrong driver. After installing the correct driver now I've been getting much more stable results (280x 3gb) "maxed out" (meaning Normal Textures, High Shadows en High Detail). Locked 60fps indoors and between 35 and 60 outdoors. Infinitely better than before, still issues with texture loading though.

Hmmm. I got this free with my GTX 970 and I finally gave it a shot today. It actually runs pretty alright. I'm not getting any of the janky batmobile transitions or anything that a lot of others seem to be getting.

I unlocked the framerate and I'm getting 40 - 60 frames that fluctuates very frequently, though. Not acceptable performance given my specs but I think this is running well enough for me that I don't need to go out get it on PS4 instead.

So...i didnt refund my GMG key as i got it for 36$. I am putting trust in Rocksteady to fix this. Just hope they re-release within the next one or two months.

I still have my season pass as well, I want to see what WB is going to do since they're probably going to have to do something in a PR sense to make it up to people who own the PC version and decided to stick with it. There's pretty much nothing in WB Game's back catalog that I'm interested in but I might consider a $40 discount on Mad Max. <_<

Yes, I paid $24 for the SP but they wouldn't know that.

Forget graphics fixes, I need a patch that will allow me to play this game. After 15 minutes of play all 8 gigs of system ram and 3 gigs of VRAM gets eaten up and this thing crashes. You can see it coming because slow downs become more frequent. At this point I just wish I could play the damn thing for a 1 hour sitting.

HHD or SSD? What's your page file size? The game seems to chug once it hits the page file off an HHD, at least from my testing.

This game heats up my CPU like no other that has come before it. Holy smokes Batman!

What CPU do you have? I've yet to see it full utilize any core on my i5 2500K though admittedly I've barely played outside of just going around the first section watching performance in my four hours or so of play time.

So I finally gave it a shot. FYI my card is a gtx560 with 1.3GB of vram.

Well, minimum requirement was 2GB and they really mean it. If you have more than 2GB of VRAM the game it will take it, I think it was 2.6 or 2.7GB when I set everything to low and tried it out at 720p.

How much RAM you got? SSD or HDD?

It doesn't matter because this port is a pile of shit. Console versions look better and those systems have 5 gig total. This is just a bad port.

HDD, 8gigs of ram, 16gig page file. Doesn't matter though if the game has a bunch of memory leaks every time I play.

Ask me about the moon landing or the temperature at which jet fuel burns. You may be surprised at what you learn.

I wouldn't take such a risk, GMG will run more promos. When I requested a refund, the rep told me as much (something about its a really good game but too bad about the issues. Keep an eye out for the relaunch there will be another promo)

WB may offer those who kept the game a reward/offer of compensation.

If you don't need the money, might be worth hanging on to it if you intend to play it when it's fixed anyway.

We were told to throw the copies in the trash at work. Lol hope they fix it soon.

I guess this is a great news because retail discs are same files as steam download(they install on steam) so if WB ordered them to be destroyed then this mean they are going to change most of the game files now and will have to print new discs for the newer build so people who going to buy retail will not have to download full game from steam.

This is very promising.

Um... yeah. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but no matter what Rocksteady does on their end, mate... you 're not running this game with that card.

Not unless you'd like to present it as a "My vacation in Gotham City" slideshow.

I find this situation very fascinating. I'm more interested in this than I am at actually playing through the game. I can only hope this is an eye opener and a turning point for devs that half ass PC ports and I hope that the Steam refund policy was the catalyst.

If they fix so the game has any actual options, he should be able to make it run at 30fps at least. Sure, it will look worse than the consoles but unless he owns a console it is the cheapest way to play it.

Right now there's not a whole lot you can do to improve the performance apart from lowering the resolution. Which you should never have to do.

Damn. Game just randomly stopped performing "well" for me :-(

Also, probably not related, but I decided to play some more Witcher 3 and the textures were corrupted. Batman infected my other games :-O

Reboot fixed W3. Uninstalled Batman. Enjoying the PA4 version.

It's promising that we're going to get a total fix, but not so promising on it being any time soon.

Not to complain, I'd rather they completely fix the game than half arse it but it's still disappointing.

Bought the game on tuesday for 20$. Only problem I'm having right now is the crashing. I'm locked 30fps with little dips to maybe 27 some times but it's 90% of the time at 30 even when driving the batmobile. Crashes seem to happen after about an hour of gameplay though. Tried the 60fps tweak and was solid 60 mostly too. Though the crashes happened very frequently so I went back to 30.

Here's my Rig specs

i7 4970k
16gb DDR3 RAM
GTX 980

There have been worse. Much worse.

Steam Refunds is the key here.

if warner is saying trash the discs then the shipped product is not salvageable, what's worse than that?

i guess the fact that its working alright for some people docks a few points off its "its fucked" rating, but this is pretty terrible

20 hours in and still steady as a mofo.

Not having issues whatsoever, aside from the missing stuff and rarely texture loading issues.

3570k - it was after a few hours, and it's pretty hot in my bat-cave, so it might just be that. It couldn't be my GFX card as I checked the temps on that and it was only at 63c.

One thing that has me worried, with all this 'throwing away of the broken version' - I can't see our saves being compatible with a new build, so it's not really worth even playing is it, at this stage? I'm only like 17% in, but if I'm wasting my time, I might as well come back to it afresh once the re-release emerges, right?

Pretty much the same with me on a GTX 670, which is weird. Like it's been well above 30 fps the whole game, and the main problem I have is some textures don't like to load.

Weren't the retail discs screwed up anyway? I recall reading that the discs were only installing 8GB and the rest had to be downloaded. People found a way to fix it but it required copying all the discs to a HDD.

What settings?

970 here and it dips to 26 in the Batmobile quite often at max settings with all Gameworks enabled.

Even if I drop the resolution to 900p and turn everything off/low it dips to 28.

Yeah I'm also expecting them to heavily discount the season pass for the PC owners who didn't get or could get a refund.

Dude they will heavily discount the entire game. Whether you got a refund or not won't matter. The bad press has not only got people to refund but also to not buy the game in the first place. For people that kept the game expect a few free skins.

Tried OCing your 970 a bit? When I was messing with all gameworks, I was able to downsample from 1440p with everything on/max and never dropped below 30.

It's at +200/500. My i52500k is at 4.2ghz. I have 8gb of ram. Installed on an SSD.

I've not noticed memory leaks like some have had.

Yeah after this weekend they really need to give a time frame for a first patch. I don't think anyone is expecting it to be a miracle job right away.

But we need something clear.

But we need something clear.

If they are changing so much that they would throw away all the physical discs, don't expect them to patch the current version at all.

Great if they do, but I expect a big change coming rather than just some small patches.

Everything on low except for LOD which is normal. 1080p and I'm not having any dips in the batmobile, the most drops I get are probably the riddler challenges which are around 30-40.

Trashing the game discs doesn't mean they are burning the game to the ground. It just means WB is actually aware that some people might install whatever version is on the disc, and never get an updated version of the game. I'm guessing whatever code makes it on to new retail discs will be 95% the same as what is in there now - it will just include enough whatever patches are released in the mean time.

Printing discs costs money, sure, but it's super marginal.

I'm actually really impressed with how well WB is handling this, all things considered. I think Steam refunds may have forced their hand, but regardless I'm impressed to see them pulling retail discs back. Most companies would say "fuck you, download the latest patch."
