Costco no longer sells Xbox consoles and games

The latest data I have is from over a year ago, but it was about a 6:1 ratio in favor of PS5 back then already.
It should be more than 10:1 by now. Phil, please have some dignity and stop torturing xbox's corpse.

Nobody is going to costo for video games it's costo, get your toilet paper and dollar hope dog and roll out to game stop or Best Buy, because Microsoft is going to come roooooaring back next gen.

Dont worry guy

Halo in UE5 will fix this, just trust MS plans, nobody will resist the transgender new spartan (remember to buy the 4 prequels books or you will not know anything)

Anyways, rest in pieces... I loved Xbox, but I think they get that they deserve. This downfall is on them.

I think Microsoft will no longer produce new Xboxes on its own, but the next ones will be built exclusively by OEM partners.
Would it really even be a "Xbox" at that point?

Case-in-point, no one is looking at the Rog Xbox Ally X as a "real" Xbox platform. It's (more or less) just a Rog Ally with an Xbox button and UI.

Seems it will be going on clearance soon worldwide. Should I pick it up for cost of a burrito? Will you?
If you care about backwards compat then you probably should get one if it's super cheap, just don't pay anything at original MSRP or above.

Get dev mode too just in case you want to make it into an emulation machine too.

No Xbox at GameStop = game over.
Our equivalent in the UK is GAME, and it's nearly at that point now. Reduced down to a couple of shelves, and those are mostly headsets and controllers.

When my cousin worked there last year, they were struggling to even sell a single Series S/X console per week, while they'd sell at least twenty PS5s in the same timeframe.

Just checked Amazon and it's gone from there too, for UK, Japan and Australia.

Still available for Germany and the US.

Still got stock at Amazon UK of the X and S, sold 1000 and 700 in the last month apparently.

What I am wondering is why bother increasing the price if you are going to drop it?

Why would an OEM want to produce their own version of a dead console? If MS can't even sell them (at subsidized prices), how would Asus, Lenovo, Samsung, etc? They would make far more money making SteamOS consoles.

I can still see it in stock in the UK.

Are viewing it from another country? If so that's probably why it won't show stock for amazon only some third party sellers.

And people are still trying to tell me that Xbox consoles going forward will have ALL the Xbox games I purchased (well over 700) carrying over into my next console. Fuck Microsoft for what they've done to their consoles. They want fucking rentals and PC only going forward. What a shithouse fucking company. I wasted so much money buying games in their ecosystem for nothing. Now I get to have their PC's with over 600 of my games I paid for missing.

Both GameStop and Best Buy barely have anything new for sale in the first place at their stores. Same goes for Walmart and Target.

They still have rows dedicated to all three consoles at my Best Buy. I was curious so I filtered out everything but local stock on the best buy website to get the total number of items available:

Nintendo: 173
PlayStation: 133
Xbox: 84

That's all available items. Games, consoles, accessories, etc

Maybe MS is clearing shelf space for the ROG Xbox Ally line.
I'd be surprised if it isn't online only. It's a system that will probably sell 1-2 million in its entire lifetime.

Something like a PS Portal sold that in a couple of months.

As cool as PC handhelds are, they're so incredibly niche it's not even funny. The only "successful" one is Steam Deck and that only around 4-5 million last time I checked.

I checked from both the Australian and UK site but maybe it registers i'm from Australia and adjusts.

How does that compare to Switch and PlayStation?
Big walls of games vs. a tiny section or nothing at all (digital cards) you tell me.

It may vary by location, but it still pales in comparison to the original Xbox and 360 days where I could walk right in and get whatever I wanted with new releases without having to resort to buying it online.

How many copies does a new Xbox Series X game release get at a local GameStop?

Just 1 single copy and that's it.

Not trying to lie on purpose it just what's going on at the moment. Either it's a glitch or they are sweeping Xbox under the rug of their front door and want nothing to do with them anymore.

Digital only future. You'll own nothing and be happy about it. The way Microsoft have ALWAYS wanted it.
Man I just wanna get to 60 physical Series X games at most. I'm almost at 50 right now. After that they can do a digital only garbage next gen console so I can safely ignore it and just play Halo on Steam instead. It's a depressing fall from grace, but they only have themselves to blame.

Amazon.de only has the Xbox Series S for sale. There's also one single returned Xbox Series X for a slightly lower price, but no new Series X consoles.
