I don't live in Europe and I doubt they'd show the movie here in theatres, so best option is for me would be a livestream.

iPlayer is the only legal method. After it's over I imagine the episode will be up on iTunes or something like that.

Anyone one in the UK going to the Celebration Event next weekend?

Me and my friend have tickets for Friday, wondered if any other gaffer's were going.

The other night watched Doctor Who that appeared on Fox so long ago, got to say it was good stuff. It really felt in touch with the newer stuff that would later come out. The Master having snake like abilities and a form was bad, like his later Palpatine resurrection bad but otherwise it was well done. The Doctor was likeable, the cast was great and the story good.

It's really a pity the guy who played the Doctor hasn't been welcomed much, he was great in the role.

I still think it would be cool if there's a quick shot of Capaldi during the 50th episode as well. Maybe a machine going through incarnations or something.

Yeah, Paul McGann was great, and there's a ton of audio and novelizations for him. As excited as I am to see John Hurt, part of me is disappointed McGann wasn't involved in the special... Would have been the best opportunity to bring him in on the new series.

As great as John Hurt is, every single piece of media released with him, Tennant and Smith in it just has me thinking how incredible it would be if he was swapped out for Eccleston instead.

Nthing the 8 love too. His audios were what got me into Who in the first place.

Never thought I'd be happy to see Rose back...but I kinda like her in her Bad Wolf form. Though boy does Moffat love his omnipotent, mysterious, otherworldly female leads.

Speaking of which, I'm kinda glad the whole Clara mystery is over. Curious to see how she interacts with both 10 and eventually 12 given that she's pretty much the first companion since Romana to be clued up on the Doctor.

I feel like if the Twelfth Doctor will only appear for a minute in the Christmas special, then it'd be kinda a waste to name it "Twelfth Night". I would rather they reserve it for Twelve's real Christmas special.

I'm not a regular on GB, but some guy that everyone else seems to believe is an insider is saying pretty definitively that the Night of the Doctor minisode this weekend features
McGann in the Time War and regenerating into Hurt.

Two of them saying it have been certain for a while, and they're reliable. So close now!

In fairness, there are other people who have been reliable in the past who have denied all knowledge.

It's a coin toss by this point, honestly. There's no smoking gun anywhere.

It seems so odd to me that they would leave this out of the actual episode when it's so important to the entire series.

It's only acceptable if The Day of the Doctor has Eccelston.

Someone said that it was originally planned to be both a minisode and included in the episode and that it might still be. But I doubt it.

I have to agree; can't shake the feeling Hurt was meant to be Eccleston all along. Wouldn't have the cool "Forgotten incarnation" thing going on, but to see the three NuWho Docs together. Ah. Maybe someday...

can't really see them going all out for the 10 year anniversary in a year and a half. Capaldi will have only done 1 season and if they shift the transmission date to August - November, there won't even be any Who on in April.
