So now we have Rose, Martha and Mickey...Donna too please.

And their Timelord child who was born of two passengers of the TARDIS? Maybe their child will grow up and end up dating River for a time to make 11 jealous?

I think they're filming for something else and just happen to both be in it. Clarke instagramed the pic of him and Agyeman with a hashtag not only for Doctor Who but also for The Carrie Diaries, which Agyeman is a regular in - so I'm guessing he's in that? Did that get renewed for a second series? Never even heard of it 'til now. Plus, she's also tweeting about being in/drinking in Soho today, and Who's London filming wrapped ages ago. Also, the BBC would murder them for tweets like that. The picture with Matt is from ages ago and was posted with a note saying "don't read into it," but I just wanted to give someone a heart attack before tearing this rumour down.

Posting it outside of the spoiler tags, to be clear...

On a more serious note - somebody caught a snap of Piper's costume - since pulled - and based on descriptions/discussion before it disappeared, it's interesting..
They're sort of ripped/torn/post apocalyptic clothes, and she's wearing something that looks like/might be a vortex manipulator. Most certainly not the jeans and hoodies Rose usually wears, anyway.

Couple that with this, posted by a Billie Piper fan site:
Billie's part within the 50th is linked to John Hurt's character, which explains the battered clothing. Billie's stunt double tweeted about working with him today.
This would explain why we haven't seen her filming with Tennant.

So...
those 'alternate ninth Doctor' rumours are gaining some credibility, eh?

That would be terrible if true.

I personally have 0 problems with it, if anything I am pretty happy with their solution to Eccelston not wanting to come back, if he wont come back to what is one of the biggest events for one of the longest running Sci-Fi shows around, he isn't going to come back at a later date for something smaller.

To think if this works out, in another 10 years we would have gone through another 2-3 doctors, the 60th will be pretty sweet as this rumour along with Tennant and Smith who will no doubt be happy to come back at a later date again.

The alternative is to not even mention the ninth doctor whatsoever-Eccelston isn't coming back-period.

He would prefer to be in GI Joe than the 50th Anniversary episode of a beloved show he's a major part of.

If it were true they could have gotten someone that looked similar to Eccelston in 2005.

For all we know that could be the person the Ninth Doctor got his coat from.

What I mean is, those pictures (and a couple of those blogs) give no indication to me, that Hurt is the 9th, jus that he may end up giving his coat to/having his coat taken by Eccleston's 9th.

Nothing suggests
Ninth Doctor
stuff to me whatsoever.

I was skeptical over the coat thing, but with
Rose now seemingly wearing post-apocalyptic clothing that matches his and seemingly filming with Hurt while Tennant is running around alone I'm beginning to believe it more.

I mean, perhaps this is actually Tennant post 'Journey's End' that we're seeing, thus him being alone, and Rose ends up being with Hurt? That's what this costume news (and the fact Tennant has only been seen alone or with Smith/Coleman) seems to suggest.

If Rose is with this guy, in that jacket, I could easily see it being some weird alternate timeline/universe ninth Doctor, perhaps.

The stuff about Rose's costume is very intriguing anyway, and key, I should think.

I still think John Hurt is going to be some sort of prophetic artist that paints everything to do with The Doctor. Wouldn't mind that alternate theory though, since he's "nine" times the actor Eccleston is...

I would only accept him as the real Doctor from the universe Rose was sent to.

I don't think there's any indication that there's a separate time-lord society per universe, though I suppose there could be. The fact that the Doctor said the Time Lords maintained and controlled connections between the universe until their demise would suggest they existed in some way outside or apart from the multiverse.

The Tenth Doctor said that Ten-2 was half human however one thing we have come to learn is that the Doctor lies a lot.

Does he? We've been bashed over the head with that idea, but I don't get the impression that he overtly lies really all that often. Nine through Eleven so far even seem not quite as deceptive as, say, Seven, and he only lied a little bit here and there.

edit: Granted, my question is perfectly timed, considering he pulled out a pretty big whopper in this past weekend's episode!

She's now about a million times too famous to ever look at a show like Who again.

I think they could still get her if she had the time - but I don't think she wants to do it

They got Kylie Minogue on board - who is the most comparable guest star I can come up with - so mega famous people are not out of the question

Five seconds in Sally Sparrow's shop is all I would need!!

I bet they could get her. She's not THAT untouchable. "Carey Mulligan" isn't really that big a name.

Hell, how do we know they HAVEN'T gotten her?

(they haven't. But still)

Sally Sparrow, the Companion that never was. :(

I still think Amy ended up having a lot of what Moffat had planed for Sally - if she was to continue as a companion. Looking back at Blink, it almost seems like a skewed version of Amy and Rory's origin story - with Sally and Larry in their place.

In other news, Blink will have originally aired 6 years ago this June

Who fans creeped her out. Kind of surprised this doesn't happen more often, really.

And yeah, I agree that basically Amy is the evolution of Sally.

The Radio 1 DJ who played Martha's brother sounded a bit freaked out by the fandom. There was some speculation that's why he wasn't 'available' for the series 3 finale.

Doctor Who Magazine this month is printing that categorically there are no past Doctors in the special other than the Tenth. It could be a double bluff, but I'm doubting it.
