The dialogue in this game is insultingly bad. This is some of the worst dialogue I've ever seen/heard in a AAA game.

Nothing makes me feel more immersed in a magical medieval world of dragons like the word 'crappy'.

It just never seems to end. It's as if you're constantly going to be reminded of this gender bureaucracy nonsense throughout this entire game.
They should rename her character in "Trash".

Holy.Fucking.Shit

This isnt a game, it is propaganda. And if you look at the dialogue choices, you cant be mean to them or disrespect them or some shit, like a renegade playthrough or something. You are forced to be ok with it. This aint an RPG lol.

Bioware is dead.

SkillUp saying "it feels like HR is in the room" and "afraid to make you feel uncomfortable" makes total sense now.

Politics aside, this is terrible writing for a fictional fantasy game.

All the dialogue I have seen so far has been pretty bad. I've also read that Rook, the main character, is basically irrelevant in the story, and that there is no variety in the quests (i.e. walking to checkpoints and fighting mobs). I do think the action gameplay looks good, but it sounds like the story and writing is weak and unnatural. Even the way they have mixed a fantasy world with modern-day language feels weird and very fourth-wall-breaking. I get what they're trying to do, but I wish they put some effort into making it come out more naturally within the setting. Between the art style and writing, and lack of being able to make a truly evil character, it sounds like this game is very PG (this doesn't have to be a bad thing, but historically I've always loved doing renegade-style playthroughs in the Bioware games, so it sucks that its no longer an option).

This looks and sounds absolutely horrible, holy shit. How can they internally look at (for example) Baldurs gate 3 or even their previous entry and just says to themselves "yep, looks close enough". Incredible things are happening.
They don't want a "close enough" they want their message out there and for people to eat it. That's it.

This is not a fantasy, it's THEIR fantasy, it's how they want to be treated in real life, punishing people who get their pronouns wrong like maniacs.

I'm no game dev, but I get the feeling EA executives should have a nice deep introspection/strategic session before greenlighting these absolute studs at Bioware another shot at Mass Effect.

A terrifying thing about all this absurd wokery is it just violently eviscerates fortunes in existing IP potential. I mean it's funny because it's not my money but ffs, Andrew Wilson, get a grip, son.
