E3 2015 | Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3

Okay. Yeah, now that I've seen some proper gameplay I'm much more excited about this. The enemies appear to have levels this time too. Did that happen in Dream Team?

So Alpha Dream is making this, it should be good.

So far from what I've seen:

- Music sounds amazing
- Battles seem fun + you gain experience, it's much more like Dream Team rather than Sticker Star
- Tutorial on how to jump lol. At least it was skippable, I hope they've learned their lesson with DT

Also there was a guy in another thread that completely called the story: Luigi knocks over a book, the two universes merge and chaotic shit happens.

Traditional RPG gameplay with Paper Mario/Mario & Luigi elements: Check
Paper Mario: Check
Experience points/level up system: Check
Minimal tutorials: Check

It's all loooooooking good so far.

Metroid Prime Chibi Force isn't going to make or break the Metroid series forever. Nintendo isn't Capcom.

Other M put it on ice for quite some time. Nintendo isn't Capcom, but if the number aren't there why bother making any new games in that franchise. FE was about to get the axe if they couldn't bring in numbers. Despite my love for the game, I don't expect a Codename S.T.E.A.M. 2, even if it left off on a small cliffhanger. There hasn't been an F-Zero game since the Gamecube and no Mother outside of Japan until last Sunday. Numbers do matter.

I wasn't a fan of Mario and Luigi: Dream Team. I didn't like it much at all compared to previous M&L games. Is that how other people felt?

I loved Sticker Star but I know everyone hated that one.

Link? I thought the series always did good in Japan, unless you're just talking about releases outside Japan.

Here's the game schedule from e3.nintendo.com

And to think i loved watching this last year, absolute mess of an e3 this year from nintendo.
there is literally nothing worth watching that we haven't seen before.
So gutted as a nintendo fan, at least last guardian is there to prop my heart back up.

Mixing Mario styles together may be a novel idea, but the lil art director in me thinks it's hideous.

Having a consolidated look for your game, an overall singular vision, is important. And by definition, by requirement, this game doesn't, and so it just doesn't jive with me. It may not bother anyone else, but I really don't like it.

Love reading all these delicious 180s on Metroid Federation Force :D

You guys are so predictable!

Most the people blasting MPFF calling it the ultimate betrayal aren't watching the Treehouse stream because they're too salty over the conference. Which is really unfortunate because everything they've shown here so far looks REALLY good. (Didn't see Star Fox though)

this is more open world than previous M&L games which always had areas broken up into smaller parts

this is like one big open area

Dream Team had the best gameplay of the Mario & Luigi games, but had issues issues with pacing and story. Just wasn't as interesting as Bowser's Inside Story.

Not the whole schedule. Just look at the times on these things. They're not playing a single game for 2 hours straight on here.

I see what you're saying there Jobbs, but you know Nintendo will use that to the advantage by incorporating it into the gameplay. In fact he just said the paper enemies behave differently than than the new super mario brother style enemies.
