The first post here is so cringe worthy. I don't know why the TC didn't just write "my girl friend isn't a fake gamer girl"; that was clearly what they were going for.

As for me, I have dated girls who were various shades of gamer. A few that didn't play anything. As long as they aren't judging me negatively for it then I don't care.

Nope...in fact i have noticed that gamer girlfriends behave more like men,which i don't like.I mean they are awesome as friends,but for a girlfriend you need different traits that you don't meet in your everyday friends

Oh don't get it twisted. I dunno about everyone else's gamer-lady but mine is still very much feminine. I asked her one day once we buy a home if she'd help me plant bushes and stuff like that....ya know jazz up the front yard and "bond with nature" and all that junk and she's like "oh nawl there's actual dirt involved....I don't like dirt."

As she bashes a zombie's head in on RE4.

So, yeah.

Nope. I've tried my best to get her into games. We had one game of Virtua Tennis once back in the early PS3 days but she just doesn't like them. I mean, she will play bejeweled and cake mania or whatever that crap is on Facebook so I suppose she does enjoy SOME games....

I wish we could play together though. She is really uncoordinated with a controller and trying to teach her is rage inducing, she gets so frustrated and games just never progress anywhere because she can't use the controller.

Don't get me started on her m&k controls, so I've never bothered with anything on the PC.

One day.

She'll play some stuff, recently watched me play through Life Is Strange and loved it. Also she recently beat Pokemon Yellow, which is something I still haven't done! (never beat any Pokemon) And is a huge Pokemon Snap fan.

My gf is a big pokemon fan. She had a gameboy, a n64, a gba, a nds and a gamecube so she could play the new installments of pokemon. She bought a 3ds just for XY.

Luckily, i made good use of her consoles and we played mario kart Double Dash on gamecube in coop mode. Best game ever to play as a couple. One drives, the other shoots stuff, the whole screen to ourselves. Amazing.

She doesn't play anything else on consoles (though she enjoyed Bravely Default and Animal Crossing NL on the 3DS).

She played The Sims, some random mmorpg and visual novels on pc. She is more of an otaku.
