What I don't understand in this thread which has gone on for oh so many pages is why does it matter if she's ugly?!? Why do people care? Were the 3 main characters in GTA V attractive? I certainly don't think so but it didn't stop me from playing and enjoying the game because I just accepted the characters as a choice made by the developers for their story. How come the discussion regarding the sex appeal of a character is never brought up for dudes but as soon as a female is the main character, look out! We're gonna have dozens upon dozens of pages discussing her every physical feature in painstaking detail but then people are surprised when they get called out for objectifying women and treating them like sex objects.

The lack of any sort of critical thinking, emotionally intelligent discourse and any sort of self-awareness from some people borders on tragicomedy

The main character design is to be expected based on the stuidio and the current enviroment. I'd be hard pressed to say it pleases me and I say that as someone who enjoyed Abby. I have faith in Naughty Dog until proven otherwise that the game will overcome any main character concerns through gameplay, polish and story. I'm not expecting a Spider-man 2 awakening or Concord levels of discourse, god help Sony if this doesn't do well.

Seriously think about it, how many games outside of TLoU2 do you know that have characters putting on clothes.......like you actually see them putting it on.
It some of the hardest things to animate, yet they bothered to show us that.

I don't think it has to do with them not wishing to animate hair so much as they have most of their games with characters with hair, so I doubt its that and cornrows would be a lot to maintain, I think the cut you see in the opening is based on the narrative of this person is on the run, in hiding, escaping something etc as one of the first things most people do before they go on the run is alter their appearance.

So I think at most, to keep the narrative, a pixie cut could work, it would just be choppy or something lol
