Really jealous of that set, I've been collecting them for years which is really tough when you don't want to pay the high eBay prices. Almost found an Omnibot the other day, but it turned out to be just an empty box for sale :(

The Dustbot, Crackbot, Dingbot, and Flipbot were all from the same dealer at the same flea market I went to yesterday, the Omnibot 2000 and Verbot were a different dealer but were together. It seemed like a sign to just buy them all together. The normal Omnibot was at a random antique store I found. I really want to keep them and display them but I'm a reseller so I've got to turn a profit. These things are beautiful sculptures of art and make for a great pop of cool retroness in a room. Ah well!

I paid good money for this Dynex!

So how's the sound and PQ? Samurai X is my favorite anime and I would love to have it on Blu-Ray if it's a real upgrade from the DVDs I have (the second release, already double dipped!) $65+ is a bit much though, but Bandai Blu-Rays are never cheap anyway.

It kicks the shit out of the original DVD release. Aniplex did a pretty excellent job with this one, and considering that the DVDs (which were mastered all the way back in 2000, or 2004 if you had the box set) were never that impressive from a technical standpoint... yeah. You should upgrade.

Hate to call you out on this, but you are not trying to advertise yourself are you?

A quick check suggests you are in the Portland, OR area (You have the same PSN ID: http://www.digitpress.com/forum/member.php?u=9179)
AND this item is in Canby, OR just outside of Portland.
Sorry if it just happens to be a coincidence.

I can't *believe* these lazy developers keep making file sizes so damn large. Btw, how does technology work?
Already September! ARG! The fall gaming onslaught is upon us!

Well, I bought a copy of Deus Ex from Green Man Gaming for $28 several weeks ago. I beat it last week, and it immediately jumped up my list to one of the best single player games I've ever played. This is the perfect example of "why I like video games." In any case, I just HAD to get a real, retail copy after completing it. So, I ordered a retail Augmented Edition to get all the goodies!

And the FuturePress Collector's Edition guide finally got here a little while ago. GREAT complement to the game.

The EA game was $6 at Costco. For six bucks, I'll give just about anything a shot. As for the Amazon gift cards, I actually took advantage of the Blockbuster "Buy One Get One Free" on games; and I spent about $45, traded them into Best Buy for $105, and picked up the two Amazon cards. Can't beat doubling your money for a couple hours work.

A friendly fellow on another board had this listed for $15/shipped. I've looked EVERYWHERE for a cheap Black label copy in mint condition. It's the only game in my "Top Ten Ever List" that I don't own - I lost both my GH and BL in a move :-(. I do have a PSN copy, but that doesn't count ;p ... Anyway, was thrilled with the condition. Other than a small fracture on the back of the case, everything is brand new looking.

PRE-LOADED!!! Was going to get this on the X360 to play with my best bud. But, unfortunately, he's broke right now (silly girlfriends ;p), and I found this for ~$34 - $30 of referral credit at GMG. Four bucks? Yes, please!

I got in on this deal within the first 15 minutes of it going live. Ordered one of every game I could find at this price... but Amazon eventually canceled all of them, except this. For a penny, I can't complain! ... Though, I'm jealous of someone who managed to get 60+ copies of LA Noire for sixty cents!

And this was actually a gift from my sister, as she just came back for Labor Day weekend from her first two weeks in college. I'm VERY proud of her!

Oh yeah, and my mom has been wanting to replace our aging and breaking microwave for a while now; but had no one to install it, nor could she really afford it. Found this bad boy on clearance from $299 -> $149 - > $119! I've never done it before, but I got the old one removed and this one installed in about 90 minutes :)

Good deal on the microwave...but why would it take 90 minutes to install? Do you work for Best Buy? lol

Finally found a 9x era machine in my area. Comes with a P3 500, 128MB of RAM, a 20GB HDD and an ATI Rage Pro. By a complete coincidence it matches the Compaq monitor I got given a while back. Sadly the case is too small to fit my Voodoo II and I couldn't get 98SE to boot whatsoever. In the end I turned to ME and.. well... it works perfectly! Thief 1 & 2, Rollcage 1 & 2, Motorhead, Dungeon Keeper 1 & 2, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, Starlancer, G-Police, Age of Empires 2, Episode One Racer, Blade Runner, Ever 17... so many great games to play again, and they all just work!

what do you think of the headphones? I'm guessing they were only available at pax?

Just the custom tags were. The Astro A30s have been available online on their site for a while
http://www.astrogaming.com/headsets/a30-headsets/a30-headset-astro-edition

I'm not an audiophile but they sound great to me. The quick disconnect and being able to swap in different types of cables is really bad ass. Don't think I can switch to any other headsets now.

I'm waiting for my copy from ebay to get here and was thinking of posting a pic of it here. Never thought someone would beat me to it hehehehe

Friend of mine in Tokyo sent it to me for my birthday. I bought Hear the Wind Sing while I was there in April 2010, but Pinball 1973 was a lot harder to find at that time.

Awesome. You should post your impressions in the Murakami thread when you're done. Did you know that's the first book of a spiritual trilogy? I've read A Wild Sheep Case (book two) and am in the middle of Dance Dance Dance right now (third book) but haven't read Pinball, 1973 yet.

Pinball, 1973 and Hear the Wind Sing are pretty obviously early works. They are good reads, but are more interesting to Murakami enthusiasts as stylistic precursors to his later, greater works. They feel a lot more grounded and personal than his later books, but their scope is correspondingly smaller, and the philosophical aspects are only very briefly touched upon. Imagine Murakami's writing style in a standard setting, with almost no post-modern flights of fancy.

Got these from a local friend tonight.

Adding this to my NES Collection puts me at 309 total Games. Only have room for one more "official" game then it's time to expand the shelf.

501 more games to go. If anyone wants to donate a world Champ cart (Grey or Gold, i'm not picky) it would be appreciated!

:OOOOOOOOO

I am jelly. The prices I've seen for it are ridiculous though. ):

God yeah, it was ridiculous. That one record will probably end up costing more than the entirety of the rest of Hydeout Productions releases. I have about half of them right now. I'm happy though, this was the one that I thought might be impossible to find. Everything else should be pretty easy.

Maybe he's asking where the shirt was bought from?
Well, if that's what he wants to know he asked the wrong question:)
However, i bought it from an hawker at a music festival.

This month ESPGaluda II !

Nice man. I got ESP 1 on PCB and 2 only on X360. How different is it on PCB vs 360? i honestly find the PCBs so much more responsive in terms of input.
