And that's only six days into the month. Have Renegade Ops pre-ordered on GMG and will pre-order Hard Reset as soon as it goes up on GMG as well.

Huh, I didn't realize the Epic Edition was going for $15 as well, I thought it was just the standard edition.

The Best Buy i went to said they never even got the regular edition. I ended up getting the Epic Edition for 15 as well.

Hi Gaf, first pick-up post so go easy on me! Got a new job and it was my birthday this month so I managed to pick up a few DS games I've been after. Radiant Historia and 999 set me back more than I'm usually willing to pay for DS games but they're not easy to get hold of in the UK.

Got the Deus Ex augmented edition, however it was delivered late so I've actually double dipped on this one. Debating whether to send this copy back.

This is probably the best birthday gift I've ever received. Apologies for the poor picture quality, but I'll tell you guys the story behind this regardless. My dad used to work on TV adverts and films creating sets. One day he was working at Shepperton Studios (circa 2003) and as he was about to get in his car and drive home he noticed something blowing in the wind across the car park. When he picked it up, he found this, the most incredible pencil drawing on tracing paper. There was no artist signature, and to this day where this is from or what it was for is a complete mistery to me. It's highly likely it's a 'visual' for a film set.

Whoever created this must have been horrified to have lost it. Well now it's a treasured item to me and it's completely unique. Probably the first thing I've ever owed that is a complete one-off item.

Heres a closer picture of the middle of the image. If anyone recognises the character or the house I'd be extremely interested to know.

EDIT: I guess it's good to learn how to resize images!

Picked up this baby on Craigslist for only $60. It's pretty much new in box and in mint condition. It didn't have a seal on it, so I'm assuming it's a launch Game Boy, as it has the old-style styrofoam packaging and no "Nintendo" seal on the corners. It even has the original batteries, that were "best used by 1996." Funny enough, the batteries still work and power the thing on.

By far my best pick-up this year.

Also bought Metroid II and A Boy and his Blob: Rescue of Princess Blobette at a local video game shop to add to my collection.

Epic score. I'm still jelly.

Sony STR-DE925 to replace my failing STR-DE545 for my bedroom 3.1 setup.

Picked this up from a Craiglist seller last night on a whim. Drove out 35miles in the pouring rain to buy it. This is my 2nd purchase from CL. Ironically, my 1st purchase from CL was another Sony AV reciever.

$60

Can someone tell me how many chapters are in this book? I have an e-book copy of the book and it has 80 pages compared to the 200 in the actual book. My copy has 25 chapters, but I couldn't find this listed anywhere. I'll probably just buy the physical copy. Hope to get a full Murakami collection at some point.

How did you manage to pay more for 999 than for Solatorobo?

How do you like Thirst?
Pretty weird movie at first when I watched it. Then I saw it again and liked it even more. Some people are half & half about it but its a descent vampire flick with a Park Chan-Wook flavor to it.

Congrats sir! I'm house hunting myself and am very close to finalizing the agreement, then waiting for settlement. Must be such a relief to be done hunting! Now the pressures of mortgages and expenses looms!
