After the third episode this show skyrockets up and up. Last night's episode was fantastic. Not quite as good as last week's, but lets be fair, that one was really hard to beat.

I need a gif of the landlord dancing/playing an imaginary flute at the height of the 3way scene. I was dying, lol.

I think that was my favorite ep of the entire season. Just built perfectly!

Edit: my mom saw the ep, after watching for a few weeks now, and after seeing him gun for his boss, actually asked me (with genuine wonder) "I thought Schmidt was gay?"

It's kinda hard to take Schmidt seriously in his storylines where he's trying to hook up with these beautiful women. The actor is sooooo gay. There was a scene where he was jogging with the character that just arrived back from Latvia, the dude was running full on t-rex style. Haha.

I find it funny that you can't remember his name (Winston) but remember he was living in Latvia.

Thought this episode was only okay. Threesome plot was weird. Schmidt plot was funny but I thought the end gag was lame.

Coworker does. He's never even seen Community despite half of us at work telling him how good it is.

In my defense, I swear they don't mention his name often in the few episodes around his appearance. I only know his name is Winston (NOW) because of the bells episode. I mean come on, playing basketball in Latvia is pretty memorable.

Zooey ain't got Schmidt on Schmidt, really. Outside of him, the show isn't much. All the good gags have either belonged to Schmidt, or have been about him.

As for him being too "gay seeming" to play this role, I think there's a niche of guys out there exactly like him; a super metrosexual snag, if you will, so I don't find it to be a stretch at all.

I still get shit from my friends because I enjoy New Girl and Happy Endings. Not sure what's so off-putting about the shows to them, they just give me this weird face and give out an "ehhh" after I show them an episode. What's weird is that these same friends also enjoy Parks & Rec, Community, AD, etc.

Anyway, really enjoyed this week's episode. The will-they-won't-they between Nick and Jess is especially strong this episode but it didn't really detract from my enjoyment of the ep. Wonder how long that'll last.

Dam this show is funny, i'm up to episode 4.

I've being trying to proxy Hulu to no success, so i guess i have to wait weekly for the episodes to roll in.

I'd guess because the names of the shows sound like they would be shows aimed at women.

That said, I finally sat down to watch this and inhaled the first 6 episodes last night. The pilot was ok, but after that it just became really great. This is so far the only new comedy this year I actually like. Cannot wait to catch up on the rest.

Winston is getting much better now that they're showing more of him. Before,he was just kinda there.

Cece was smokin in tonight's episode.

Another best of the show. Duke was hilarious, the Nick/Caplan relationship is being done really well (by that I mean they have awesome chemistry and get along really well so it's a blast to see them together, but Caplan's character has a clear glaring flaw that will justify their eventual break-up [unless Caplan joins the show, which would be awesome]), Jess and Schmidt and Cece were all hilarious. Especially Schmidt. "I look around like I'm confused, so then they're confused..."
Winston's C-plot was even good.

Just watched it on H+, great episode. I hope they make Cece a mainstay, or bump the actress to starring role. She's just too great. And hot.

Winston, on the other hand, is by far the most boring character. I really like everyone else though.

It is interesting how divided people are on which characters they don't like or label the worst. About the only consistency is that everyone loves Schmidt.
