Weeping Angel episode up next. Oh, man. I'm going to be strong. I'm going to wait.

Why would you stop at the best part?

And remember, this 2 parter is to Blink what Aliens is to Alien.

It also has a series story-arc critical scene to watch out for.

I said I liked the fact that the series wasn't about a relationship, but rather the adventure. Everybody laughed and said "you'll see."

I've sort of been waiting for the other shoe to drop. It hasn't happened yet. Even with Martha's constant longing for some Doctor scholong, that was never the focus of the show. More like a sub-sub-sub plotline. Rose clearly had a relationship too, but it was so minor within the context of the show as to be almost incidental. I'm still liking that aspect.

That was mem and I think you're crazy if you think it was a sub-sub plot in S2.

I wonder if WanderingWind will spot it. I know some people recognised there was something not-right about that scene straight away, but I wasn't one of them.

Oh, that's not fair. How can I resist that? That's like saying "DON'T PUSH THE BIG RED BUTTON. SERIOUSLY."

And I remember the great season 2 episodes because of their stories. Maybe because Tennant and Piper has zero chemistry? I don't know.

Oh. And pavement blowjobs. How could I forget that. Fuck you Moaning Myrtle.

I completely agree with the intended suggestion of this post.

I think he was stopping things before they got out of hand. Someone is going to go too far.

Appreciate it guys. I've made it this far without being spoiled too bad. I think I've actually enjoyed the show more due to this thread.

Less than a month ago. :lol I haven't even watched Torchwood since...

Me said:
So, fans. I've never seen an episode of this, but I have seen Torchwood (love it) but considering there are something like 40 series of Doctor Who, I have no idea where to start.

Any suggestions?

Me said:
Okay...that was...something.

Are the killer mannequins going to be a reoccurring thing?

Me said:
Good to know. I'll stick with it for a while. That first episode is really, really rough.

Me said:
Well, that explains it. But so far, the most fun I had was laughing at the Doctor pulling off the dummies arm. Oh, and drooling over Billie Piper.

WanderingWind said:
I really want to watch more, but I'm going to wait. I don't want to watch it all before the weekend. :lol

Probably a good idea. You'll end up a vicarious vampire like us. We live vicariously through unsuspecting newcomers who watch Doctor Who for the first time and feed off the energy of their initial reactions.

...were you a writer for season 3? Cause that sounds like an episode from there.

You know, I may have to copyright the term "vicarious vampire." I rather like it.

EDIT: Google says it's already been stolen.

I'll sue them!

They don't have a doctor who big box set of some of the old episodes of the old series do they?

I'd like to try to eat 100 tacos and watch a Doctor Who marathon.

Biggest set I know of is the Key to Time. It has six 4th Doctor stories in it.

Best box sets are:

Ooh I might like that key to time or new beginnings. I've got a doctor who ep on VHS which I got from a thrift store which is I think mystery of the red pyramids or something, something where he fights off a egyptian god.

I love the baker episodes, saw attack of the cybermen which is a Baker(Colin :( ) episode and...I sorta didn't like it too much.

You have to really like Dr Who to like the sixth Doctor. I mean really like it. I can put up with his numptyness so I guess I fall into an odd category but if I had a choice I wouldn't watch the sixth Doctor immediately when presented with the fifth or fourth or pretty much any other Doctor.

So you like his stuck up attitude and his...hilarious fashion apparel?

Plus he's the only doctor I've known who punched a guy out.

Thanks to the Big Finish audios, Colin Baker is one of my favourites. He's fucking brilliant with quality writing. His performance in Arrangements for War had a rage and defiance that outdid even Eccleston.

Yeah, I have yet to get into the books and comics and radio plays but when I find the time I will probably start there(Big Finish Stuffs...). The sixth had some seriously bad stuff handed to him, but what can you do?

All the Doctors are snooty bitches. All of them. The sixth one just made it an art form. :lol
Plus he liked kitties so that's bonus points. He did look like a foreign flag though...
And the third Doctor was not shy about punching and judo chopping. At all.

I need to see a Davison episode, if he's half as charming as he is in the Children in Need special, I've got something to look forward to.

Sixth or Seventh, really. From the random sampling I've taken of all the doctors, these were by far the worst episodes. In every way. Nothing in the new show even comes close.

The Seventh doctor has to be horrible, I mean that's the whole reason it got cancelled after such a long run right?

The Seventh Doctor is the best thing out of the last two seasons of the original run.

The show was in the verge of cancellation way before the Seventh Doctor though. It truly died a slow and painful death.

His first year was grotesquely bad. However, he was getting some better-written stuff when it was axed.

RE: The Moffat interview earlier - I'm still confident that
EVIL VOICE
is
THE DOCTOR
.
Having people 'forget' about aliens is something they'll have to do every few years, unless they completely stop doing 'big' stories.

Random thought: Did anyone actually get *credited* with playing
EVIL VOICE
?

Even if they did, I very much doubt it was
whoever ends up playing that villain
, but it's something that just struck me.

IMDB had someone credited as playing
-------Omega--------
before the big bang, but nothing came of it so maybe that was mean't to be the voice, or it was jsut IMDB being stupid (most likely)

This show is sort of bold in that they're not afraid of casting older women as love interests. River is awesome.

HA! He leaves the brakes on. Cute.

Well, suddenly this is fucking stupid. Did Moffat just watch The Ring before writing this? It came out of the screen.

EDIT: "Hey, you two. Yeah, the only black people in the squad. Go down that dark, foreboding tunnel by yourselves."

It's explained! then.. you ask questions about blink.

Also, with the previous episode think of this : What is the starwhale going to eat now?

Freshly dead bodies.

That's what I'd do.

I ask questions about everything. It's a curse.

And star-plankton. Duh.

EDIT: Well, that was so obvious that I didn't think that was the big secret of the episode. Double fooly. :lol
