Single state polls are better than a collection of random ones. NC was about R+5 compared to the national margin in 2012 and Clinton's leading there comfortably.

I love how the taco truck line is backfiring. How is having awesome tacos everywhere you turn a bad thing?
Every corner is simply overkill. The market would be too saturated with supply.

Typical lieberals not thinking about the economic cost of their policies.

I think the only way Hillary loses is if something happens that pushes a weak blue state red, maybe even one you don't expect like Wisconsin. Probably something that depresses turnout, like some damaging email that shows her saying fuck black people or something. That or she really flubs the debates. But she does so much prep wonky work that it's hard to believe that's possible.

I'm personally afraid from an October surprised courtesy of Wikileaks.

No. What we need is for Trump to be caught in a moment where he shows he knows nothing about politics. Angles for this would be:

- making Trump say that he thinks a wall can go right on top of Texas/Mexico border (which is impossible because that's the lower Rio Grande)

- making Trump claim that the Central Park 5 are still guilty

- making Trump accidentally say that he would support Assad (by asking if he would support everyone fighting ISIS and then bringing up that Assad is fighting both innocents and ISIS)

- making Trump say something about Russia that Manafort convinced him was true

- making Trump have to face the fact that violence has been declining over the past 2 decades

- Asking Trump to explain what he thinks is in the first amendment.

- Asking Trump to specify which statements he regrets making.

- Asking Trump what he thinks about the Brock Turner case.

- Asking Trump whether or not he thinks the Alt-Right specifically is respectful.

- Asking Trump what he thinks we should have done differently with Lybia.

- Asking Trump why he thinks we have NATO

- Asking Trump if he thinks we should do more international investments like the Marshall Plan

- Tricking Trump into saying that we should have destabilized Iran.

- Asking Trump if he feels that states should have the right to ban gay marriage.

- Asking Trump if how he thinks we won the Cold War.

- Tricking Trump into stating classified information on his own. (Obviously this one would be nearly impossible without looking like someone encouraging it)

- Tricking Trump into stating he doesn't care about the Geneva Convention.

- Asking Trump in what cases he is okay with abortion and if he says the standard GOP answer of "only in cases of rape or invest" ask him for details such as whether or not it would only be allowed after the rapist is convicted.

My question would be along the lines of:

"Mr. Trump, what are your feelings on the 14th Amendment? Some say that it is outdated, no longer needed and should be repealed. Others argue that it hasn't been enforced enough. As the leader of the Executive Branch, what would your interaction with the Amendment be? Would you recommend changes?"

Of what, though? I'm actually not worried about her personal email stuff at all anymore. It seems so thoroughly out there. I don't believe there's anything they could release that hasn't been teased out in the billions of hours of coverage so far.

The Clinton Foundation stuff is up a rung on the ladder to me. People don't really seem to understand the issue, but I also don't think it is as easy to tie directly to Clinton.

The DNC stuff could be more damaging to busters, but I think once you get people onboard, it's harder to push them off. There's a reason they timed stuff for the week of the DNC.

I understand why you feel that way but Assange's most recent statements really don't sound that bullish, especially coming from a known hype-man like him. Remember this dude in June told Anderson Cooper on national television that they had material to indict her. Yeeeeeaaahhhh we all know how that turned out.

But like I said, I get the sentiment. Ultimately I doubt there's any reason to worry.

You won't have to write him in, you'll already be having a bad case of it.
Real talk, I actually already have a taco truck on my street corner but I prefer the Mexican restaurant down the road and my uncle-in-law's Peruvian restaurant. Living in a predominantly latino area has its perks.

Curious. Did they play "proud to be an amerocan" at the end of the ceremony? Played that for my wife's ceremony, made me cringe.

Could they play a critical role in Missouri?

How Missouri's 'Bosnian vote' could cost Donald Trump – and turn the state blue

Observers say election antics have pushed many of the estimated 50,000-70,000 Bosnian Muslims in what is historically a swing state to register to vote

Mirhada Jasarevic was a child when she and her family became refugees during the war in Bosnia in the 1990s. She became a naturalized US citizen earlier this year, in time for her to vote in the 2016 presidential election.

“I think this is probably one of the most important elections to be a part of,” Jasarevic said. “I came here just like those Syrian refugees are coming here. The same way. With no intention of hurting anybody. Just to get a chance at life. And that’s what makes America so great, and I feel like Donald Trump doesn’t understand that.”

Bosnian Americans in Missouri are expected to turn out in record numbers this November. With recent polls showing that Hillary Clinton and Trump are virtually tied in Missouri, it could be a voting bloc that swings the election.

While never a monolith, Bosnian Americans in St Louis – which is home to an estimated 50,000 to 70,000 Bosnian Muslims – have near-universally been put off by Trump’s anti-Muslim, anti-refugee rhetoric and are wary of the Republican candidate’s popularity among Serbian nationalists. If they are mobilized as a bloc to vote against Trump for these reasons, 2016 could mark the national debut of Missouri’s “Bosnian vote”, costing Trump the state’s 10 electoral votes.

“I know for a fact that a lot of people have gone out and registered to vote,” said Nedim Ramic, a Bosnian American attorney in St Louis who has twice met with Clinton during campaign stops in the city. “I think that the Bosnian community could really make a difference.”

Since religion and ethnic background are not recorded as part of the voter registration process, there is no record of how many Bosnian American voters are actually registered in St Louis. Anecdotally, community leaders estimate that voter registration in St Louis’s Bosnian community has surged by the thousands over the past two years.

“Right now I’m expecting to see a higher turnout than before,” said insurance agent Ibro Tucakovic, who came to St Louis from Sarajevo in 1998 and, in 2015, became the first Bosnian American to run for elected office in Missouri. “This election is really, really important, but especially for Bosnian Americans because we have seen what hate speech can do in a country. Some of the older ones are scared, because this is a similar thing going on back in Bosnia in the 1990s before the election.”

Has the Trump campaign agreed to allow the moderators to interject like that?

The rules and setup of the debate were mostly agreed upon a while ago.

And it wouldn't have to be moderators interjecting on their own. All it takes is a moment like in 2012 debates where a candidate requests the moderator review the facts.

My question would be along the lines of:

"Mr. Trump, what are your feelings on the 14th Amendment? Some say that it is outdated, no longer needed and should be repealed, others argue that it hasn't been enforced enough. As the leader of the Executive Branch, what would you interaction with the Amendment be? Would you recommend changes?"

That could be a good trap but not in the way you think.

Trump probably knows what the 14th amendment is, but we also know that Trump advocated amending the constitution to take away birth-right citizenship.

Once that comes up, the trap would be asking him "If you believe that we should no longer have birth-right citizenship as given by the 14th amendment, what would be the requirement to those born here to get citizenship?"

If he states that you have to be born of a US citizen, then he already loses the debate in the eyes on anyone who even knows someone whose parents were immigrants.

If he states "you can't have parents who are illegal immigrants" then the issue becomes about the fact that these would be children who wouldn't be have citizenship anywhere else.

Wasn't the GOP really upset about that "get the transcript" moment? Why would they allow it again?

How can a moderator even fact check trump?

"Um...your claim that Hillary has used planes to dump mind controlling chemicals on people has not been substantiated in any literature."

"YOU JUST HAVEN'T READ WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT"

"Um"

"MANY people are saying it. And how about the emails?"

They did. The military brass band they had did a good cover of sweet child of mine for the intro to the ceremony so not all bad.

There were about 500 people getting their citizenship that day for the first ceremony. Not sure hown meant were in the 2nd one.
Congrats!

Congratulations and welcome!!!
Thank you!

I certainly did not specifically choose that picture to suggest that's who I was talking about if that's what you're claiming. I would never do such a thing.

Because if they don't allow the moderators to do anything besides asking the questions, then they look like they don't want moderators in the first place.

Hillary would just need to jump in and ask "could you tell us all your sources then, Trump?"

If he says "I don't know", then it feeds the narrative that he will believe anything.

If you want a gotcha moment with Trump, you ask him a specific question about something specific that can't be bullshitted out of. Something that needs a factual answer.

Mr. Trump, name the countries in NATO.
Mr. Trump, who is the President of Iran?
Mr. Trump, can you name the Prime Ministers of Canada, the UK and Australia?

I picked the 14th because it would be a multi-tiered trap. But honestly, I don't think he knows any Amendments beyond the 1st and 2nd. Especially not when he's put on the spot.

The problem is that comes off as trivia and not actually asking about Trump's stances on things.

All of my examples are things that you can frame as questions about Trump's ability to be president instead of just a random pop quiz on Trump.

Better examples would be:

"Can you specifically name which NATO allies you feel aren't pulling their weight?"

"Do you think that Trudaeu has been doing a good job?"

"What do you want Rouhani to do differently?"

Do you know why Hillary is leading in NC? An actual sample that makes sense in the real world in which we inhabit! The made sure AA make up more than 10% of the sample unlike Emerson and a bunch of other wackooooos.

In PA, Trump is tied among the AA vote with Johnson. In NC, he's tied with "Don't know" yet. lolololol

How is their lomo saltado? I just got some from a Peruvian food truck last Friday 😅 Yummy.

Edit: is it a taco truck if they don't have tacos? I just call them food trucks.

All of my examples are things that you can frame as questions about Trump's ability to be president instead of just a random pop quiz on Trump.

But, they can spin your questions as "gotcha" questions. These are just factual things that people should actually know, irrespective of them running for office. You'd be hard put to spin your way out of "I don't know who the Prime Minister of Canada is."

Take a look at the DWS Canova debate. His campaign pretty much ended when he couldn't name the major of the town in which he lived. When DWS came back with the name and vocation of the mayor, she landed a critical blow.

Like, I'm not saying your questions are bad whatsoever, because they're not. These are the kinds of questions that will be asked during a debate. However, even if I know nothing about these issues, a lot of them I can bullshit my way through.

Central Park 5: Look, I get why you're asking this. I do. But, I believe we need law and order in this country. Law and order. And we can talk about specific cases all day, but that doesn't change the fact that the police are very badly treated. And we have people who get away with heinous crimes. Just terrible because no one has our police and justice system's back anymore. We're going to bring it back. Bigly.

First Amendment: Look, it's important because it's the First, okay? It's the first. And we have to have it. We have to have it. And we made it the First for a reason. I'll protect all of the Amendments. From the First to the et cetera. That's why it's important.

But, if the question is incredibly specific "Name the President of XYZ" you can't really bullshit your way out of that....especially since Hillary is going to know the answer pretty much immediately.

Praise be to Soledad O'Brien. She was on Brian Stelter's show this morning and laid it out about how the media has normalized white supremacy by equating Hillary's speech with Trump's name calling.

“And then Donald Trump will say, ‘Hillary Clinton, she’s a bigot.’ And it’s covered, the journalist part comes in, ‘They trade barbs. He said she’s a bigot and she points out that he might be appealing to racists.’ It only becomes ‘he said, she said.’ When in actuality, the fact that Donald Trump said she’s a bigot without the long laundry list of evidence, which if you looked at Hillary Clinton’s speech, she actually did have a lot of really good factual evidence that we would all agree that are things that have happened and do exist. They are treated as if they are equal.”

“Now, it is ‘he said, she said’ all the time. We have lost context. We actually don’t even cover the details of something. We just cover the back and forth of it. It’s funny to watch if it weren’t our own country and our own government actually operating.”

Hear that Chuck? You worthless lump.
