Media is going in on Trump because he's made it so easy for them to do, but I also think they've finally got it through their heads that even he shouldn't be president

AC360 must watch

Jeffrey Lord is being dismantled by silver fox and navaro

Navarro throwing that hot fire. I don't know how she keeps putting Lord in his place everyday.

Lords now saying that this is all media manipulation by the Clintons!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

They can only cry foul if there is evidence. If the election matches pretty close to the polling averages no one with any power will take it seriously.

We aren't talking about the evidence-based community here.

Republicans have no backbone when it comes to standing up to the extreme voices in their party when it counts. If they did, they would have never let him continue to run as a GOP candidate, even if Trump threatened a third party run. I can just see them saying all the right things a lot of the time but never actually doing anything to hinder Trump trying to cheat his way into winning. The SCOTUS is on the line after all.

If Scalia were still alive, I wonder if party members' and party leaders' tolerance for Trump's extremism would be tempered even a little bit. I think having that seat sitting empty, silently* looming over this whole election's outcome (it's essentially on the ballot), has forced a slice of the party to hang-on for dear life.

*And I am amazed at how little attention this issue has gotten so far in this campaign. The prospect of tilting the court with a lifetime appointment has all but faded into the background. Although, to be fair, I expect some really sizeable meltdowns once the race is called and realization sets-in.

Hillary is probably going to use her comment in an ad. That was some of the most concise, on-point, damning language I've ever heard used against Trump.

I didn't hear about this. I had some random Jane Doe voter at my polling place in April that was joking around about Trump and I told her she had to stop immediately or she needed to leave. I don't care if you are left, right, center, or whatever. As a policy analyst, I take the law seriously. If it says no discussion of politics at the polling place, there is no goddamn discussion of politics in my polling place.

I have only worked as a chief inspector in three elections, so I might be missing some stuff, but I don't mess around in how serious I take my role in election work.

There were people outside one or two of the polling places doing some sort of light harassment to get people to vote for the Trump-supported Paul Ryan challenger. . At least, that's what I read in an article.

I can't see OH going along with it -- I doubt Kasich woulld intervene.

Swing states with GOP govs I could see going along with a 'rigged' message would definitely be FL, NC, IA, maybe MI.
Plus a bunch of crazy people at the state or county level all across the US jumping on a bandwagon saying they got hacked or don't trust the accuracy of the tech etc.

And regarding a contested election, or claims that it has been "rigged:"
this is one reason why I want to win with an electoral cushion.

I don't trust Trump and/or state-level GOP operators to not try any sort of elector or results certification shenanigans.

If it goes to court, I don't trust right-leaning judges to intervene - certainly not after what we witnessed in 2000.

A contested election would require evidence.
Well I don't doubt the possibility of something getting legit hacked. Like I can see the Russians (or even some tech savvy local Republicans) intentionally skewing some results towards Dems just so Trump can cite it and say there's cheating and go to the court and use it as evidence. And even if it was only a few dozen votes that ultimately did not change the outcome of the state or the GE it could be considered evidence.

Trump won't be able to tweet fast enough in this multiple theater war.

How I imagine Team-Trump reacting...

I wonder if Anderson is trying to get Trump to not go to the debate. He's being aggressive on this and not just neutral.

Edit: if Anderson cooper is giving up a chance to moderate a debate to make sure Trump makes the fatal mistake of not going... goat

Can you see both Kennedy AND Roberts doing anything to help elect Trump?

I'm at this white dude's business and he makes African drums by hand and he has healing crystals all around the building and his dog looks like she eats pot brownie.

I have found the Jill Stein voter as well as the site of a future polio outbreak.
Dogs should only eat pot sugar cookies... chocolate is bad for dogs.

I don't know, honestly. Roberts probably doesn't want to be a neutered Chief, constantly finding himself in the minority. And after Kennedy went along with the 2000 Bush v Gore opinion, I don't trust him, at least not on this.

To be fair, if the shoe were on the other foot and I were a conservative eyeing the liberal wing of SCOTUS in a reversed scenario, I wouldn't trust them either.

Look, I am the OP of the second debate thread. This motherfucker better plan on showing or I'm going to make him regret him fucking with my shit.

Who cares if Trump's mic was fucked up? Yes there were some moments where it was like... almost too clear, too compressed, or something -- but so what. You could hear every fucking word.

No no no. This is an opportunity. The only debate thread with one participant.

Oh that's not quite what I meant.

I can see a reality where Trump doesn't do the town hall, Hillary does it alone, and then Fox News gives Trump one a few days later.
