Speaking at a Virginia fundraiser hosted by former U.S. ambassador Beatrice Welters, Clinton laments in a clip released by the Free Beacon Friday that many of her former primary opponent's supporters sought things like “free college, free healthcare,” saying that she preferred to occupy the space "from the center-left to the center-right" on the political spectrum.

That's pretty broad.

Considering how a lot of them act, I would've called millennials a lot worse than what Clinton said about them living in the basement.

The only way this is negative is if you take it grossly out of context.

I mean, we heard statements like this coming from Bernie's own camp while addressing the lack of available jobs for young college grads.

It's this elections "you didn't build that." I.e. It's fucking nothing

Think if Trump had said that about Clinton supporters. You'd all be having a cow. This is going to get her. She's already losing ground to Gary among the young. This will make it worse. Literally calling them disgusting basement dwellers.

The full quote is not bad at all, it's just easy to take out of context for the means of putting it on the screen or webpage as a headline.

The only thing that can be remotely focused on is the "living in their parents basement." but it's way out of context. She actually legit explained why they feel the way they do. Btw this is from February.

Also Trump is stupid and would rather talk about porn, and shit.

Trump called hackers 400 pound kids at home. No one is going to care.

Yeah she is empathizing with them if anything.

I whinny my fervor lowly, for his length is not as great as those of the Hylian war stallions
Ugh, the OT thread on that will be a case study of those who actually read the link posted, or those who don't.

Donald Trump doesn't show empathy. And no, this will not get her.

Also, you might want to look up the definition of the word "literally" because you seem to be struggling with it.

The basement line is empathetic and descriptive of the reality of many millenials, not insulting. Anyone looking to spin it as a gaffe is really reaching.

Trump shows empathy with those who are feeling that they're getting a raw deal. He is their voice. Listen to it, or fail. Showing contempt for "gross, disgusting basement dwellers" like Mrs. Gaffe over there, will make her lose. Watch.

That quote is nothing... most young people would agree with it. Hell, I do and most of my friends say the same thing themselves.

Your referencing the generation of stay at home delayed adult hood low paid workers with college degrees.

It is rough sounding. It is also, basically true. More kids are moving back home after college. It's a well documented phenomenon.
I know, I'm looking at it from the perspective of how many people will likely react to the headline and story unfortunately. The phrase tends to be used as an insult. We'll see how it goes.

If it ends up being nothing, great!

Yeah, that "living in their parents basement" has to be taken way out of context in order for it to actually be damning. The whole quote is a lot better and shows empathy.

The main worr is that it might be picked up by the media because it's a break from all the Trump stuff.

He doesn't show empathy. He says you don't win any more and you are losers. He say that he is a winner and will win for them. At no point has he ever said that he understands what they are feeling or why they are feeling it.

Again, you might want to look into how to use quotation marks, that seems to be a point of difficulty for you as well.
