I see a lot of people, here and on twitter, complaining about Harry Reid sending this latter accusing Comey of violating the Hatch Act. That it'll keep the story in the news longer...

Ummm...do you really think Trump and anyone tangentially related to his campaign is going to let this leave the news cycle?

This is going to be the headline for most of next week whether or not Dems want to go their usual route of burying their heads in the sand or not. So I'm glad they're not. Dems have more than a few legs to stand on here, and constantly harping on how blatantly partisan Comey was behaving (because he was) is pretty much the one effective way they have to take the pressure off of Hillary on this story that is NOT going to go away.

Hillary should stay on message.

Everyone else should be going nuclear.

Hillary has Florida, dems run usually well behind until actual election day and that's not the case now. The amount of new voters since 2012, and the fact her GOTV people registered over 70,000 new voters in the extra week that had this month means to me that she will win by a larger margin them either time Obama did.

I remember there were quite a few campaign specialists from both sides proclaiming the election already over after the first few days of early voting in Florida.

Prediction, the first network call for Hillary will come right after the polls in California close at 11pm EST.

Everyone's constant bedwetting will have all been for naught as we turn our attention to the Senate races.

Also it's one thing for Reid to make shit up about Romneys taxes. It's another to challenge the head of the FBI.

Head of the FBI should have stuck to policy and did his damn job instead of inserting himself into an important election.

It's why you have people on both sides pissed about this. Besides its' Reid. he can take the heat and that's probably what he's aiming for.

Dems bedwet at the prospect of having something to bedwet over.

I think some tight polls this week will cause numerous meltdowns and then David Plouffe will go dark and aLL WILL BE LOST

Any update on souls to the polls?

also "dark souls to the polls" was my joke but then I read it again and given context it seems like it could be insensitive.

I'd like to remind everyone that Clinton and Kaine are both campaigning in Arizona next week and there are more Dem events scheduled in North Carolina than in Florida. None in Pennsylvania or Nevada.

This should say more about what the numbers are looking like from inside the Clinton campaign than any of the arm-chair "I know how to politics better than Hillary Clinton" analysis that's been polluting PoliGAF for the past couple of weeks.

Latino voting flat out doubled. 44% of those latino voters were first time or otherwise unlikely.

Polling in florida is WILDY off, none of them could have or did take that kind of turnout into account.

Dems bedwet at the prospect of having something to bedwet over.

Dems have nighttime bed wetting problems. We should probably buy some Pull-Ups. Most of the time we can make it throughout the day without pissing ourselves, so I don't think we need diapers.

We gave partisan hack Comey a pass when he interjected his own personal and political opinions into the matter when calling Hillary extremely careless. We shouldn't tolerate this shit any more.

Why does CNN keep giving Paris Dennard airtime? He's no different than a citizen. Seriously his title is Trump Supporter. Even other surrogates have some sort respectable label going on

My Arm-Chair analysis is the real deal! Look at this undeniable state of the race from me!

People are bedwetting over the Prez race? It's over. Will it be closer to 350 or 300 is the question.

Senate is also going D, but not a solid majority to face 2018, so they better getting things done.

House is also gone from Dems. Will close the gap, but it'll be a R majority and if Ryan keeps his spot as Speaker.

I don't think people appreciate how easy Donald Trump has made this election because the intensity of his hateful language has clouded how we see this election:

He bombed all 3 debates by any measure. His performance in the debates were terrible. The media reaction was that he was terrible. The insta-polls and real polls all showed him down worse after each debate.

He had several explosive leaks that helped to sink whatever GE appeal he had.

He failed to unify the republican party and caused tons of fractures within the republican party with some running their own "real" GOP candidate: McMuffin or whatever.

He sucks at fundraising and sucks even more at building a political infrastructure.

He has no GOTV operation.

He is defending and losing some traditionally red states.

He employs the worst people.

Donald Trump has made this election easier for Hillary. Any other republican would have caused a tighter race with a much smaller potential margin for victory.

Of course we're bedwetting. This is super high stress, there's a ton of uncertainty out there, and THE FATE OF THE REPUBLIC is at stake. SO YES I WILL BEDWET

I wanted a nice quiet week. Oh well. After tomorrow it will be under a week to go. Don't you guys remember Obama's final weeks? No one did anything. He was squeaky clean.

I took off November 9, 10, and 11. I wish TLG was out.

Dr. Ben Carson was the only Republican to ever have a lead on Trump in the polls.

Kayleigh McEnany has the same title, "Donald Trump Supporter". I believe Kellyanne is the only one with an official Trump campaign heading.

Why are they all NPA instead of Dem?

NPA is huge here. I was registered as NPA here myself for 11 years until August of this year. I just didn't want to label myself to a particular party even though I fucking hated Bush, supported Gore in 2000 (one year too young to vote), voted for Kerry in 2004, and Obama both times.

Why are they all NPA instead of Dem?

We're seeing this happen with millennials too. I think younger/newer voters are just less likely to align with a party.

But they're certainly not voting for Trump!

Aaron beat me to it. There's definitely a trend away from party identification, and new immigrants don't really have much allegiance to the democratic or republican parties. They DO however recognize the difference between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, even if they can't really describe the differences between the parties they stand for.

That being said, many of those latino voters ARE registering democratic. there are just more that register as NPA.

A very large percentage of these unlikely voters were registered by the hillary campaign and the democratic party as well as motivated to the polls by the dem GOTV campaign, so whether they're NPA or not doesn't really make much difference. There's no GOP GOTV presence in FL- those voters aren't hearing from the Trump campaign.

If the Republican majority is cut small enough and the Freedom Caucus becomes proportionally larger, I'm not sure that Ryan even stays on as speaker.

That House would be ungovernable.

Per sources, Bannon/Conway/Trump now see MI, WI and NM as possible insurance policies/upsets in blue states... but polls show steep climb.

"Insurance policies?" Based on what?

Bannon unveiling his master strategy:
Trump campaign chief executive Stephen K. Bannon has settled on three states in particular — Michigan, Wisconsin and New Mexico — where the candidate and campaign will devote more time and money, according to four people familiar with the discussions who requested anonymity to discuss internal campaign talks. All three states were won by Obama in 2008 and 2012.

Bannon believes that if GOP voters rapidly “come home” nationally in light of recent events, that turnout plus late-breaking support among independents and blue-collar workers could bring new states into play beyond Pennsylvania, Nevada and Colorado — Democratic strongholds where Trump has been campaigning for months and remains behind, the people said.

Some people are saying that this is other people in the Trump campaign trying to shift blame onto Bannon and Conway in advance to avoid being labeled as "that dumbass that thought Trump should campaign in New Mexico."

Talked to my mom, she's stressed (and now so am i) about my sister and her husband voting for trump. I'm not sure where to even begin. I'm going to my sister's husband's house for his birthday party and I'm almost at the point where i'll threaten to walk out if politics come out. I don't even want to get into it.

I don't think I can handle another week of this (election day itself is just a lot of tweets from Jon Ralston about turnout). I haven't had an appetite all weekend. Last night for dinner I had some bread.

Same here. I've been wracked with anxiety for weeks. My eating schedule is currently anemic. I cannot wait for this to be over, but this week is going to crawl by.

These guys have no strategy. It's that simple lol. They are trying everything and just hoping by some chance it'll work. Bannon has done a lot in pushing his views into the mainstream. You'd have to imagine this is some last ditch effort.

This is one of the reasons I'm so glad my brother and I generally abide by our unspoken agreement to not talk about politics.

At most we'll go "you see ___?" "yeah" "ok".

Saves me a headache, and him too I imagine. I love my brother, and I just don't want to have that fight with him.

(Thankfully he's libertarian to the core so no Trump)

MI and WI rank 3rd & 5th on our list of tipping-point states. Totally reasonable strategy by Trump to focus on them.

It all makes sense now.
