in this one instance (don't want to add fuel to "troll" conspiracy), I'm half joking, as I have treated myself on my birthday, but really do avoid on cost / health grounds, plus my local Martin's (Giant) had a really flavorful NY strip, but they switched suppliers and now it has a good texture, but zero flavor... Tried a frozen grass-fed strip last birthday, but wasn't impressed, and an equivalent (grass-fed, but not frozen) available at Walmart was even worse. Might try their regular strip at some point, where I'll be aiming for medium-rare (with just freshly ground black pepper and sea salt), as I agree that cooking a good steak much more than this is a waste.
