Yea they're needlessly inflammatory, and it really doesn't help matters, and honestly works against their own interests.

After one campaign's delegates rushes the stage in anger over their campaign's failure and then has supporters make death threats against the state party chair you consider this article "inflammatory?"

They weren't "death threats" in a "legal sense" they were simply "setting the mood" and seeing where the night would take us. Like an hors d'oeuvre and aperitif before the tasting menu begins. I really regret
that anybody found out it was me who did
it.

It would be a nice delegate haul though, and we know that candidates who fall behind in the Democratic primary very rarely make up for it.

That's only true if the first few states aren't too different from the national average.

like imagine this primary season, except Washington, New Hampshire, Vermont, and a bunch of other Sanders states were first, giving him a large lead at the beginning

I mean, they're being accused of being corrupt and dishonest and it's being implied that they deserve the abuse they're receiving. I feel like the tone for the interaction was pretty much set already.

She's a blasian woman so she's basically a super minority (Jamaican and Indian).
She's more than that though. She's a smart and accomplished woman who's fought for progressive issues as attorney general of California and has a very good record. Assuming she doesn't run in 2024, she will be on the VP shortlist.

Good point, but a favorable schedule like that would have definitely helped Sanders regardless.

Picking Mark Cuban would be like McCain picking Palin. How do you run on experience and then undercut your message with the very first important decision you make as a candidate. The only way you make that decision is if you're stupid or desperate - neither of which apply to Hillary Clinton's camp.

Cuban is basically a libertarian btw.

Sanders had a pretty favorable schedule didn't he? New Hampshire IS/WAS at the beginning. And he came out of Iowa with a basic tie, which gave him shitloads of "Sanders surprises everyone!" and "Hillary underperforms" press. Post NH is where the Sanders campaign started pushing the super-delegate-"We've already basically lost" conspiracy theories, which probably hurt him more.

This is semantics, and nothing more
Yeah I'm not gonna take anything from this judge seriously. And way to hide up how completely insane this order is and his attempted Doxing of hundreds of thousands of immigrants

He's a poltiician pretending to be a judge.

http://thinkprogress.org/justice/20...ses-become-public-thanks-judges-insane-order/

This is intimidation from a federal judge.

You've been saying this from the outset, but it's no more true now than it was then. Nobody's being doxxed--the records will be kept under seal unless a state can show it has a good reason to access them ("such as a showing by a state of actual or imminent damage that could be minimized or prevented by release of the information to one of the Plaintiff States"). In short, the records of one part of the government are being delivered to another part of the government, which other part may disclose the information to yet another part of the government if there's a good reason for disclosure. That's not doxxing.

He knows some racist asshole like Kris Kobach (IDK if a secretary of state can do this but there are some states) is going to request this information on the grounds of "voter fraud" and they will be threatened and possibly attacked by racists

And you know this is just none sense

This really isn't all that burdensome a requirement. States require attorneys to take annual continuing legal education courses to maintain their good standing, including a certain specified number of hours in ethics courses. The fact that it extends to all DOJ attorneys in the states involved in the suit may be unusual, but then, so is a suit that involves 26 states as plaintiffs, and in which the DOJ lies to the court and does what he orders them not to do. It's certainly less drastic than the other remedy he considered:

Judge Hanen said:
The most immediate remedy that must be considered for misconduct so blatant and with adverse consequences of such magnitude is the striking of the party’s pleadings. While perhaps an appropriate sanction, as this Court has expressed in prior proceedings and opinions (and despite the overwhelming grounds to do so), it will not strike the Government’s pleadings. In a different situation, this Court might very well have taken that action. This egregious conduct merits it. While this Court has that power (both pursuant to the Rules and under its inherent power), the fact that a federal court might have a power does not mean that court should necessarily exercise it. The national importance of the outcome of this litigation outweighs the benefits to be gained by implementing the ultimate sanction. The citizens of this country and those non-citizens who may be affected by the 2014 DHS Directive deserve an answer and should not be deprived of that answer due to the misconduct of counsel. Further, the Supreme Court has decided to weigh in on these matters. Striking the Government’s pleadings would not only be unfair to the litigants, but also unfair, and perhaps even disrespectful, to the Supreme Court as it would deprive that Court of the ability to thrash out the legal issues in this case. Regardless of how unprofessional the DOJ’s conduct may have been, this Court will not strike the Government’s pleadings.

(Striking the government's pleadings would mean that it loses automatically.)

Lets hope he gets removed.

I'd like to see that argument:

DOJ Lawyer: "Well, you see, he ruled against us, so it show's he's partial."

5th Circuit Judge: "So did we. What else have you got?"

DOJ Lawyer: "Well, OK, so, when we lied to him, he made us take ethics courses about not lying in court! I mean, come on!"

Mark Cuban would make a pretty cool attack dog to go after Trump, he probably knows he's much richer than him.

He might indeed be richer, but it's hard to say.

From Forbes last June. They estimate his net worth is $4.1B, but I think it's possible it's much lower and it's hard to draw more conclusions without his tax returns.

I bet if any pundit makes a point about his overinflated net worth, Trump will flip. He's thin skinned AF

It's a great target for a Hillary attack dog to go after. Maybe Warren should

Hillary has already been harping on "why won't he release his tax returns?" which is addressing it as well.

Not sure his base cares, they'll probably believe him if he says the IRS is "lying" or something, but might sway some independents idk.

How could he advocate “gender-sensitive” solutions to global power imbalances while exploiting the power imbalance between himself and the much younger, non-Western women who idolized him? In response, Pogge dismissed her in an email as “self-righteous” and said her objections were “gathered from feminist and petty-bourgeois sources.”

Who the fuck actually writes "petty-bourgeois," oh my god.

Considering how Bernie's campagin handled themselves through this entire issue. I'm not suprised NV dems are upset,
.

I'm not surprised either, and I don't blame them for being upset. I'm saying there's a way to handle it that would be more effective for them, and won't escalate the problem more.

There is literally nothing anyone can do besides give the nomination to Bernie that will cause them to not escalate.

I can't wait for Hillary to unload on Trump.

That makes sense about Sanders, he fundraised record numbers but also spent in record numbers, and in the end just to lose by a delegate and popular vote landslide.

It's pretty clear to me that ratcheting up the rage with what happened in Nevada to drive donations was the intention of that statement.

Sanders didn't want to avoid stoking the fire, because he really needs it right now.

I'm watching the newwwwwws and now they are wondering if the plane crash was an electrical fire of some sort. If this isn't terrorism, and Trump said it is 100% terrorism and anyone who doesn't think so is wrong...it's not going to matter, right? Can a tragedy be used to attack Trump when innocent people have died? I don't think so. Sigh.

Eric Bolling sticking up for Trump now even with people still wondering because Trump is being bold. Everyone's an asshole.

Did they send a fund raising email off it? I assume. Also as I read that tweet, Roar started playing as I started on my exercise bike. Thank you based Queen!

It reflects very poorly on his ability to be a competent President at the very least.

I think OT is discussing the upsides of command economies on the back of China reeling from reality kicking the doors off it's market, but ok.

I think you could hit him with an unfit for president attack. Definitely fits the "loose cannon" label. Guess we'll see. Would hope it wasn't terrorism regardless.

Odds are there won't be a definitive conclusion to the investigation in 5 months so he'll get by on that.
