Queen of money.

How can twitter be so on point?

Sanders never put a cap on compensation for his campaign manager, probably cause he thought this was a long shot.

Plus, I had that question in the back of my mind too. Did someone script the FEC complaint and total up the amount needed to be returned?

Odds are there won't be a definitive conclusion to the investigation in 5 months so he'll get by on that.

The black box combined with no one taking credit should make what happened pretty apparent if everything coincides.

I know this is anecdotal but it is a very interesting read from someone who was very supportive of Bernie and transitioned to queen based on his shit campaign team.

Also the part what the only on the record thing was Bernie's belief that people with chronic pain should focus on yoga and meditation is fucking bullshit
As someone who lives wiith chronic eye pain (you know how it feels to have a hair in your eyes? Welcome to my world 24 hours a day....) I'd cut off my left arm to be pain free for a week. get out of here with that bullshit

Only Voter Suppression Can Stop Bernie Sanders

The most popular politician in the country is up against all three facets of the American political power structure, and he’s already defeated two of them.

After weeks of inspiration and joy, there was anger and sadness this past week in the Bernie Sanders movement. After historic rallies throughout the state, Hillary Clinton’s apparent victory in New York left millions in the movement wondering whether it was the corporate media or the Democratic National Committee that was screwing them over. There’s plenty of blame to go around, but it’s a third culprit who deserves their scorn.

Yes, there have also been countless instances of blatant propaganda in the corporate media, most galling perhaps the ones appearing daily in the New York Times and NPR  —  the so-called “N-axis”  - - where many thoughtful urban Democrats get their news. So tendentious has Paul Krugman become, for instance, one can only assume he’s angling for a position in a Hillary Clinton cabinet.

"Feral Hogs" sounds like the antagonists in a movie that culminates at a battle of the bands contest.

"It’s a herd of feral hamsters, a major herd, thundering across the yellow plains of the southern reaches of the Great Concavity in what used to be Vermont, raising dust that forms a uremic-hued cloud with somatic shapes interpretable from as far away as Boston and Montreal." -- Infinite Jest

Damn. His campaign is broke as hell. I can't imagine the donations are pouring in. When it's the last time they mentioned how much they raised. His bern rate is insane. No wonder he's not running ads in California. He can't afford it

Chronic pain is no joke. My wife is disabled, shit sucks. When I told her Sanders' position on chronic pain, she immediately laughed and yelled "Fuck you!".

I sympathize because he was about to have a kid but it doesn't excuse acting like a raving asshole on Twitter and expecting your employer to never care.

It's not hard to not be an asshole on social media. As a public figure with over a quarter of a million followers he should have known better.

Fortunately for him he'll get hired by the intercept/jacobin soon enough.

Bernie is at the point where he can't reach 2384 without superdelegates.
But see you're confused. Let me explain it to you. Superdelegates who support the candidate who has more pledged delegates and more of the popular vote are committing FRAUD! BUT, it those superdelegates agree to ignore the will of the people and give Bernie the nomination even though he neither won n or deserved it....then that's fine.....because revolution!

And also FBI! EMAILZ! BENJAMIN G HAZI THE FIRST OF HIS NAME!!!!111ELEVEN

However, he quickly interrupted me from giving them advice, despite knowing my credentials and insisted that I get to my policy questions. But he asked that the answers remain “off-the-record” so that I could not share them with the community that was asking them. His answers provided no new information or specific methods by which to initiative these broad ideas. The only policy answer that wasn’t “off the record” was Bernie’s official statement on the opioid issue, sent to me via email. It said that chronic pain sufferers should seek yoga or guided meditation to ease our suffering.

To be clear, that quote is not from Bernie himself, but one of his policy officials that the woman spoke to on the phone.

But, what in the fuck.

What in the fuck

Anti-science bullshit. People already don't trust their doctors; spreading this nonsense will only make that worse.

Broad question: Is there a single topic that Sanders is curious and well-read on? Like, from where I'm sitting, he doesn't seem to care about investigating a single issue beyond surface level platitudes.

I'm not sure I can dislike Sanders more now.

Give him time. I've gone from liking him enough to consider supporting him (always preferred Clinton, but I wavered last summer) to disinterest and just wanting him to drop out to, in the past month, despising the man.

Doesn't surprise me that one of Bernie's policy officials is into homeopathy

Just like it doesn't surprise me that Trump hired a climate change denier as his energy advisor

As a father, I feel like setting a good example is more important in the long run than having a specific job at the time of their birth. But IDK maybe kids who are taught to be trolls on Twitter will make good presidential candidates for a future Republican Party.

Edit: he will probably get a job and be able to support his kid, he should probably start practicing having less time on Twitter anyway. They are a lot of work (children).

Don't get me wrong, meditation can help, but it's sure as fuck not going to do it on it's own.

I would hope the answer was minimum wage policy, but (you guys know where I'm going with this, here we go, for the 24th time) after he dismissed Krueger in a way that I can only assume means he never even read his book, well...

He's also occasionally against stem cell research... If the money is going to those terrible pharma corporations.

Must have missed that.

Bernie is his own worst enemy. Add his appeal and passion to an even slightly more technocratic way of thinking, and we could have had something so amazing.

...but maybe the passion and appeal comes from the high level approach instead?

I'm not opposed to meditation in general, or yoga really. Yoga is good exercise, but it's not pain relief. Could be rehab I suppose

Meditation can have a lot of benefits too, but yea it's not going to mask a herniated disk or something

He was a cosponsor of the Human Cloning Prohibition Act of 2003 which not only banned therapeutic cloning, but would have fined any research who did it up to $1 million dollars and could have resulted in a prison term.

He got a bit better on it, but...ya, there are some anti-science things in his world view.

Sanders had a pretty favorable schedule didn't he? New Hampshire IS/WAS at the beginning. And he came out of Iowa with a basic tie, which gave him shitloads of "Sanders surprises everyone!" and "Hillary underperforms" press. Post NH is where the Sanders campaign started pushing the super-delegate-"We've already basically lost" conspiracy theories, which probably hurt him more.
Well, it was kind of favorable at the start with New Hampshire, yes, but that was it. Afterwards with South Carolina and Super Tuesday a couple of days later (which was like 7/11 Southern), it all went... south, so to speak. Even the Rust Belt/Midwest wasn't as favorable to him as Michigan led people to believe it would be.

If two people go from New York to Los Angeles, but one takes a direct flight high above the ground and the other drove from town to town along the way, one of them got to LA a lot more quickly and directly but they don't have the depth of understanding about the country in between those two cities to represent them.

But the flight was quick and easy, so let's do that instead!

That's going to happen anyway at some point. Honestly, him getting those states out of the way helped his narrative (my best states are coming!). I don't know how well he'd do with the constant headlines of "Hillary's firewall is still there!"

That's part of why I like taking the train so much. It gives you an idea of the world outside of where you'd normally go and if there's a transfer it usually gives you a lot of time to explore.

I really do wish our rail system was a lot better.

This....this is actually really brilliant, and a perfect example of why Hillary's "evolution" on issues makes perfect sense. It's why she "gets" things on a far deeper level than Bernie does.

I love trains. I'd love it if we got a good massive infrastructure movement going for something like that. I argued it awhile back in another thread, but there's just no way to slash the military budget, so let's pull an Ike and use it for some domestic projects. Rail and top-tier Internet access would be great.

Superdelegates alone? Ignoring her popular votes and pledged delegates, and all the work her campaign and volunteers have done?

Yup. Just the supers. Not those pesky voters. They aren't real. $hills.

Here's an excerpt from the speech that I extracted from the comments. It's not quite as dismissive as it sounds out of context, however, I don't like the use of "false option" which is what I believe she was upset about.

edit: I wonder if the Sanders are big alt medicine believers. His wife does have a doctorate from a diploma mill, so it would seem in character.

We also need to give people options for treatment for both mental health diagnoses and to manage chronic pain. As the former Chairman of the Veterans’ Affairs Committee in the Senate, I have met with veterans all over this country who need mental health and substance use disorder services. I have introduced legislation in the Senate to improve access to complementary and alternative therapies for veterans, so they aren’t left with the false option of either being in excruciating pain or at risk for opioid addiction. Therapies like yoga and guided meditation can help manage pain and reduce stress with zero risk of addiction.

Yeah, he still would've lost for sure. Just would've "looked better" if say NH, VT, WA, RI all voted first. Nate Cohn says Clinton would've wrapped it up on 3/5 with the 2008 schedule.

Bernie just sits high up his moral perch and thinks hes know what's best. Hillary has put in a lot of work and has traveled all over the world. There's depth to her understanding of how thing works at home and abroad. Bernie has been cooped in a very white state for most of his political career.

Again, the DNC is not solely responsible for the primary schedule. A lot of that is done at the state level too. California switched back to June in 2011. It was Assembly Bill No. 80.
