Always knew Twitter wouldn't end up being some grand contribution to society when it was new, but I wouldn't have thought it'd become the preferred harassment tool for misogynistic jerks. We had Facebook (and myspace!) for harassment already! Aah, I was naive. After 10 years of "internet + anonymity = bad things" under my belt already at that point I should have known better.
Actually, I've given up on panicking over Sanders supporters after remembering just how few people it takes on Twitter to ruin absolutely everything for everyone. There could be 10 million "#FRAUD" people on Twitter or 10 and we'd hardly know the difference. Gamergate was like this! For some time they attempted to rate their popularity on number of twitter mentions.
One day GAF semi-accidentally started up #stopgamergate and from that point forward, after anyone stopped using it mind you (because it would be as stupid as #cancerisbad to use long-term to make a point), it was proof positive that GAF sucked and they were between 50-500x more popular (than what?) depending on the day. So yeah, part of the obsession with GAF came out of a stupid hashtag measurement war. Other foolproof statistical benchmarks included number of times wikipedia article was viewed and google news hits because duh only supporters would ever end up seeing the term. This pattern of "we're making the most noise, therefore we're right and you all smell and our girlfriend is hotter than yours" that keeps coming up is never going to end.
Some studies were done later on just how much tweeting was going on. Something like 75% of all GG-related tweets were from the same 300 accounts, and 50% from only 50, which meant several hundred each from those. Would not surprise me if the total number of repeat offender trolls on s4p and Twitter were only a few thousand total. Finally remembering how that worked has made me feel better. Okay, and also worse because it's another reason to hate the internet, but mostly better. It's unlikely that Trump supporters follow much of a different formula.

There was a thing that happened at the Jacobin two years ago where a female journalist was complaining that about Socialists sending her rape threats and that the left still needed to address their misogyny... Jacobin did not take this article well and argued that Socialism was more necessary than anything else.
Newsweek mocked Jacobin for this take and thought that Jacobin was minimizing the importance of rape threats. One of the editors of the site said she was a survival of sexual and that she was going to sue Newsweek for libel because...? Newsweek published her legal threat. Some said that Newsweek should have edited it out the part about the writer's history of being sexually assaulted. One lawyer said that it would be weird to have confidentiality in a legal threat in a single, one sentence tweet.
The Jacobin has used this single, one sentence tweet as reason to harass this woman lawyer for the past two years.
The far-far-far left is fucked up.

My siblings and I rented the Virtual Boy from Blockbuster like three or four times with pooled allowance money. Then, one day about six months after it came out, the neighborhood Walmart was selling them for $19.99. I bought one with my own money and still have it. It might be Nintendo's unloved stepchild, but I give it the respect and care that it deserves. Virtual Boy Wario Land is one of the best twenty games that Nintendo has ever made at the very least as far as I'm concerned.

How has Jacobin harassed Sarah Kendzior for past two years? AFAIK the incident was a big mess where both sides made a bunch of mistakes. That's the impression that I've gotten from trying to read up on it.
I'm sure there are misogynist leftists who have abused her via twitter but there hasn't been some sort of concerted campaign on Jacobin's part to do anything like that.
