The Miz being in this match completely destroys the entire concept of the IC title being a workrate title. Not like that hasn't been destroyed years ago or anything though...

A long time ago that was true. IC was defended at every house show. You never saw the world title. It was the workhorse strap. Guys actually cared about and wanted to win it. Same with the WCW tv title. Now all the belts are meaningless. Commentary doesn't put the belts over, talent doesn't give a fuck about winning it or being the holder of a strap, and creative has no clue how to book championships. They are there for merely someone to carry to the ring and a reason to have a pointless match. Jesus I feel like Jim Ross with that rant.
