This game needs it's pro players actually playing and promoting the game (IMO, of course). Not playing League of Legends and complaining about it constantly.
Can you think of a mechanic in game that Dunktrain likes besides deathball? He hates all the globals, hates split push/specialist heroes, etc. The only thing he wants to see is straight up team fights.
Also probably not a coincidence that the rise of Falstad + Dehaka coming in has saw a dip in C9's play. When they kept getting rekt last year it was during the split push era as well.

And yet their iconic moment is picking Murky/Abathur on a map where their strategy was to be absolute trolls.
That stuff is awesome and makes the game great.

At least Caff and k1pro are playing a lot with Zoia and promoting the game. Miwa has that video series where they 5 stack.

And agreed, kirblar. Fan's Abathur play came to prominence after joining them...they did well with it when Dunk deigned they would stoop low enough to use it. Not sure why he hates it so bad TBH, I think it's refreshing when there's something viable beyond deathball.

I always wanted to know how it came to be that Zoia gels so well with C9, was it an abusive relationship kinda thing with Zoia seeking solace in C9 during his troubles managing Tempo or did they just hit it off at lans.
Yep. Weird as it is for me to say this, but despite my complaining about him I am 100% positive that his THH persona is just a persona, and that he's a really cool, fun guy IRL. He also gained some major respect from me for his very passionate defense of Gillyweed against the reddit trolls.
His gimmick is basically just him a) being honest at times when others aren't and b) pretending he's on Around the Horn.
People say they like when people keep things real. They lie.

Yeah that was awesome and I'd reckon it has gotten better since, not just because of him as Gilly has been putting in a ton of work.
His persona was annoying at first but whenever he put it aside he was the best part of THH at the time.
Yeah but they seem to be close friends compared to professional friendly relationships otherwise.
Giilys a good caster, and it was disgraceful how people were going after her. Grubby gets talent names wrong occasionally, Jake spouts gibberish sometimes and Khaldor screams when Valla casts multi-shot at level 1 - and yet Gilly was the one attacked and people throwing references to her only getting the job because she's a girl. I'm really glad Zoia stepped up to push that shit back.
And re the business model, whilst it is of course insane speculation I can't help but wonder if they are looking at how Overwatch is being received and thinking about changing it. It would be very hard to do at this point, but I'm absolutely sure it would hugely increase the games players. The games pricing model doesn't particularly bother me, but I know it does for a lot of people.

They'd be crazy to do that.
Overwatch is stuck with that model because the TF2-type communities would riot if they didn't use it due to inertia.
The issue with Gilly/Zoia at first was Zoia's personality running her over. Gilly/Cooby was great.
They could always try the Smite model.
I'm not sure how a change to free heroes would work, to be honest. For someone like me, who has bought quite a few of these, that'd be kinda shitty and we're their best customer. They'd have to recompensate to some degree, but dunno how that is possible if gold doesn't matter.

I think some of the dislike for him in this thread was simply because he loved badgering EU and people took it personally, even though he was going for exactly that reaction lol

Really? I liked him because after Schamtoo he was the only one to actually keep up with EU.

Yep, I'm not going to deny it - it wasn't funny. He just kept making really dumb, schoolground insults about EU for no reason. If you're going to take the piss then at least be entertaining about it like Snitch is!

Regardng growing the scene - I can understand rivalries and stories growing the scene, and grudge matches. But it never came across that way, it was honestly just "hehe, EU is dumb. hehe, EU has cooties". It was juvenile and wasn't entertaining, and that's the biggest crime in my book - at least make me laugh when you insult someone!
Excellent. I would have preferred Alexstraza, but Chromie comes in at a close second for me. She could even still be a support.
Without wishing to belabour the point, teasing EU because of crazy drafts and stuff like that is fine - and was funny. My issue was the completely random Beavis and Butthead stuff where he literally would just throw an "EU is shit" comment at the end of something. I hate that dumb sense of humour, it doesn't work for me at all.
It works too well though, she's in the top 8 or so most recognized Dragons in Warcraft, she's unique, and potentially solves the dragon-size problem (since she prefers to run around as a Gnome).
And it would make no sense for the dragon doing the fly-over in the ability to be Chromie while the main hero is someone else. Like, who the heck would you be playing as that you summon Chromie to reveal something for you... Nozdormu? So there's no reason Chromie would appear in the filename path if she's not the hero herself.
So basically, I'm convinced.

Too bad they gave Uther so many ret pally abilities then made him a healer. Kinda makes it hard to make Maraad a thing, though I suspect we may seem him at some point.
Or a Dreadlord Hero (Malganis or Tichondrius perhaps), given that the Warcraft 3 Dreadlords had Vampiric Aura
Malfurion/Tyrande and a Boomkin have a similar issue.

Chromie is a Dragon Aspect, so technically the game would still need a Gnome. Where's Mekkatorque, I thought they were working on him a while back.

my first WoW character was a Troll Priest, might feint if that makes into HoTS.

Troll Warrior, on a private server because my parents would never have paid for WoW. Only fell into the trap with Cataclysm again and regret it dearly. MoP gave me the rest.
As long as they don't, ever, add Millhouse Manastorm.
There was someone on our raid team who swore costumes lagged him out. Naturally everyone used Millhouse immediately after he complained. Great toy.

Here you go. I see the FPS in the menus and in-game on the first line. Is the timer in the middle cut-off for you? Maybe your screen resolution is off. In any case, you'd probably have better luck if you posted this on the Battle.net support forms with a screenshot.
