Resident Crybaby
I would say it was solid, if not great.

Galaxy 1+2 is cool, the Mario Galaxy Movie looks fun, excited to see Super Mario Wonder + Meetup in Bellabel Park announced, Metroid Prime 4 on Dec 4th, we had some solid third party showings like Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, Fatal Frame II, FFVII Remake Intergrade, and Resident Evil Requiem are all looking really impressive.

Mario Tennis Fever and Yoshi and the Mysterious Book look... fine, but nothing to be excited about IMO. The Virtual Boy accessory is dumb as shit lol. But at least a cardboard option is available.

I'd say it lacked a "holy shit!" mic drop moment, but did just enough to keep me interested in what's coming next for Switch 2. The biggest standout is probably the breadth of big third party announcements.

"C" from me.

They should have had that direct on 9/11, cause that was a fucking tragedy.

Yeah I agree, a C would probably be my score as well. I was hoping for different announcements than the ones we got. Something from Monolith Soft would've done wonders.

I'll port over my comment from the direct thread:
Fire Emblem looks cool, way better art direction than engage.
Hopefully it's not a higschool simulator like Three Houses though.

Other than that, shit direct and still zero interest in picking up a Switch 2.

Yeah I agree, a C would probably be my score as well. I was hoping for different announcements than the ones we got. Something from Monolith Soft would've done wonders.
I think longer dev times are starting to hit Nintendo as hard as it hits the rest of the industry. Next MonolithSoft game is going to be worth the wait, though.

Horrific. No new Mario. Smash. Luigis mansion. Zelda. IP. Just paid DLC, and second/third tier slop. Oh and a revival of Nintendos biggest failure, the virtual boy.

Metroid dated, finally after 53 years of development. Fire emblem is awesome, one of my personal faves, but when your ending an hour long direct, with a game that me, and 6 other people care about, you've screwed the pooch.

What exactly are all the teams, amd thousands of devs Nintendo has, working on exactly?

Only a couple of mid first party announcements and then just tons and tons of ports.

Rating it D just because fire emblem came in at the end and bumped it up.

Can't believe it was over an hour presentation to show THAT.

Pretty disappointing because I expected a better first party presence and more Switch 2 patches. It's like Nintendo is trying to straddle this line where they don't push Switch 2 so much because they still have a large Switch 1 base. They shouldn't be doing this.

I'm not going to cry over bing bing wahoo and the Yoshi game is clearly a kid's game and that's ok, but I expected at least one more big first party title launching soon.

And... ugh... I hate to say it, but Metroid Prime 4 looks bad. I'm not writing it off but I expected way more after so many years.

Absolutely low grade for me , super Mario galaxy 2 as the only decent thing for Mario 40th , rest not interested at all prime looked garbage , it's like Nintendo and Sony thought oh gta6 coming out we won't bother with anything decent, at least Shinobi and silksong saving this yr for me

I am still surprised, how NSW2 could run RE Requiem. I guess other capcom games could be also there soon as well, i hope.

MHS3 and Metroid 4 are also superb... The ridings are cool

Welp, i guess there are some danger warning to my wallet...

I got my Down Loadable Kongtent but man that was pretty whelming for my tastes.

Yoshi looks interesting but I'm still waiting on 3D Yoshi. Fire Emblem looks promising but it's not usually my thing. Metroid looking a lot better. Final Fantasy and Resident Evil look fun.

If Mario Tennis is balanced I could get excited.

Not great but not bad. C.

Voted C. Fire Emblem I am hoping is good and nothing like the last, Yoshi game looks great, and another DQ VII is cool, but no big hitters during this one. I am glad to see the Switch 2 getting RE9 on the same date as the others. Thank God we finally have a Metroid release date after this.

Also - the last few Mario Tennis (and Mario sports in general) were bad. Hard to get excited right now.

I gave it a B. Mario opening it for 15 minutes bogged it down from the get go and it never quite recovered its pace. The announcements were great afterwards.

Still, it was missing that big "oh shit" announcement that would've made it an A.

DQ7 was the highlight of the show.

Re 7,8 and 9 are amazing but why the fuck is Capcom launching them all on the same day...

Galaxy 1+2 is absolutely solid. A bit underwhelming in the fact we already had Galaxy on the Switch in Mario All Stars, but it was taken away from us. At least it fixes that issue and gives us Galaxy 2 on modern hardware.

Matroid Prime 4 release date is fantastic news, but it's not something that's on the level of a brand new game reveal. We've been waiting for some time.

Virtual Boy is great in all the weird Nintendo ways. It is a shame that the hardware and software will be tied to the NSO. I think a Snes Mini type of release or bundle where you get the Console and can buy a compilation game cart would have been ideal.

No massive game reveals for me. Its like Nintendo have to compromise each one of their products now for whatever reason, but there's certainly a few entertaining games to play on the horizon.
