god i really need a KR this year. i was absolutely destroyed by the retirement of alan rossum. no KR TD's, horrible punt return yardage..... i had drafted a guy in the 5th that i thought might be good (he's fast) but he has just been mediocre. i had one good return with him that he didn't even score on (it was 78 yards).

i may need to look into acquiring someone or drafting someone. i guess we'll see soon enough!

I gotta rep for the Bellows Train, that's All 4133 All Purpose Yards! Only 14 TD's though

Best QB, I would put it between McNabb and Trent Edwards, just off of stats. But, if you throw in QB running, McNabb has quality numbers there, so I'd put him as #1 QB.

RB is a bit tougher. There's an intriguing list of RB's to chose from.

Turner got alot of yards, most per game, and lots of TD's. But built up on competition I've discussed way too much of. Plus, he's Tecmo Bo 2.0.

Keller is probably my choice, but is just as broken as Turner, in the speed game. Much less carries than anyone else, easily breakable, but is 3rd in running yards and RYPG, and has BS level of Yard per attempt (11 yards...sweet jesus.gif)

Chris Johnson, just for being the only bright spot on that team.

Moreno for being a workhorse candidate on a great team, and of these 4, the only one left in the playoffs.

Awww ^_^ If only he had some break away speed.

Sable, I have to assume it would be impossible to try and grab stats from each player's personal "card", right? On each screen, it even throws in stats for Tackles for Loss, Pass Deflections, turnover returned yards, turnover TD's, Yards gained after contact, passes dropped, runs over 20 yards, etc etc etc. It would probably be a clusterfuck, but I'd like to see some of that information too :lol :lol

Has there been any actual evidence that how players play affects how they progress?

The reason I ask is because there's a lot of evidence that parts of Online Franchise are pretty half-baked (playoff system).

I wonder if Progression has nothing to do with players actually getting gametime and generating stats, but instead is a product of POT and per position adjustments to specific stats that POT modifies.

Are there stats that simply never progress? (I think Speed is one that doesn't change).
I'd posit that per position there are a set of stats that are modified upwards (at varying rates per year, likely going up at smaller intervals as X increases) for X years, where that value for years is defined by the POT rating.

For instance: (and this is an overly simplified example) A POT running backs could see incremental increases in CAR, CTH, ACC, AGI, AWR for five years, and then 1 year of no progress and then begin to decline. B POT running backs might see increases in those same stats for 3 years and then flatline for some number of years and then decline.

All of this would occur regardless of "stats" because EA probably considers the stats that players generate ultimately random - and when building their Progression system they probably didn't want to account for player-infused randomness.

There's probably also a layer of randomness per player in the league on how impacted they are by stat increases, FMT's Jack English could have some value that makes him more or less susceptible to progression than some other league's Jack English.

Isolating the stats that progress per position, per POT rating would be really interesting because then we could take a pass at reverse engineering their formula and basically build a better draft board - we are crawling the website for player progression stats pre- and post-progression, right?
