I told you I'd give you DHB + picks + other players for Wayne and you said no... if all you wanted was speed THE MOST IMPORTANT STAT EVER.... :(

I wonder what speed girly and Jackson are btw....

[edit] Also, I can't cut speed. I have to cut overall ratings!

Both are rated exactly 90, and one of them is a FB. :(

FMT, my FA cuts will stay the same.

After Crow's brilliant run to a championship, I have a feeling the English/James/Morrow/Scott draft will be one to remember, in the vein of 1983 and 2004.

Jack English ends up like JP Losman

I can even tell you the teams with the most grievous hording of speed from last years Draft! The Colts, Jets, and Niners tied with 4 Draftees with 90+ speed. While the Panthers, Cowboys, Jags, Dolphins, Saints, Giants, Jets, Raiders, Steelers and Redskins didn't go after a single one.

Browns have two 90+ speed guys? Guess what.. one is a fucking OLB. :lol

Draft board is setting up. Loving the Safeties. OL isn't too bad itself, and same for DL.

With their first pick of the 2011 GAF Madden Draft, the Oakland Raiders select Tavadis Purcell, WR, Syracuse.

Give me your 7th round pick, and I will

If you figure a top 10 in teams in the AWR category, 5 of them made the playoffs, out of 12 playoff teams. 4 of those 5 are from the AFC.

Best I can tell, the bottom 10, only 2 playoff teams exist. Bills and Champion Bronco's.

Okay and what did I say to you? All my 80 rated guys are either guys that I got to 80 or guys that are in the low 80s that no one wants to trade for. I even said here before season 1 that I was starting guys like Nicks and Sintim over vets who were better - I even cut my starting RT and benched my C in favor of a rook and second year man. Sorry I reaped the rewards. Here's a list of guys I progressed into the 80s from where we started:

Nicks
Atkinson
Beatty
Beckum
A. Brown
Phillips
M. Johnson
T. Thomas
Sintim

What do you expect, 12-4 twice, two trips to the playoffs, one of the top offenses in the league this season, and a sack/turnover happy defense.

Looking over the progressions I am somewhat happy with what transpired, but maybe I had my hopes too high.

All in OVR:

#3 CB Thomas went up 6
Andre Brown, Brandon Atkinson (my stud rookie center), Hakeem Nicks, Mario Manningham, William Beatty, and Travis Beckum all went up 5 points due to their involvement in such a prolific O.

Clint Sintim, Kenny Phillips, and Michael Johnson only +3. They were huge pieces to my D, wonder why so few points.

I may plug in more youth in the offense, but wtf can I do on D. :|

statistically had the best season of the qb's, and tied for most passing yards in the league (not just among rookies)

btw, 18 teams have sent their FA cuts in.

rookie draft will NOT be this sunday. we need to finish FA draft PLUS we have the pending problems with the chiefs and seahawks (neither one has posted that they are home and/or have internet connection back so i can't re-send invites)

Taking BigAT's list of the # of 80+ Player Awareness rating players on a team and comparing it to Interceptions recorded by that team:

Denver Broncos 6 (tied for #4 in INTs)
Cleveland Browns 7
St. Louis Rams 8
Carolina Panthers 8
Miami Dolphins 8
Jacksonville Jaguars 8
Buffalo Bills 9
Kansas City Chiefs 10
Cincinnati Bengals 10
Atlanta Falcons 10
Oakland Raiders 10 (#3 in INTs, )
Detroit Lions 10
Arizona Cardinals 11
Green Bay Packers 11
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 11 (#2 in INTs)
Minnesota Vikings 12
Seattle Seahawks 12
San Francisco 49ers 12
New Orleans Saints 13
Chicago Bears 13
Houston Texans 13
New York Giants 13 (#5 in INTs)
Washington Redskins 14
Dallas Cowboys 15
Baltimore Ravens 16
New York Jets 16
Indianapolis Colts 16
Pittsburgh Steelers 17 (tied for #4 in INTs)
Philadelphia Eagles 17 (#1 in INTs)
Tennessee Titans 17
San Diego Chargers 19
New England Patriots 20 (#6 in INTs)

Bills, Chargers and Ravens were in the top 10 and Colts were around top 12 or 13.

Defense (Playoff teams bolded)

Cards 7
ravens 7
Bills 4
Bears 7
Broncos 2
Packers 5
Colts 6
vikings 7
Pats 8
Giants 6

Jets 8
Raiders 6
Eagles 6
Steelers 10
Chargers 7

Niners 6
Buccs 6
Titans 6
Packers 5
Bears 7

Seems to me there's a pretty good correlation with INTs recorded by defense and high AWR rating. Of the top 5 teams who picked off the most opponent's passes, only Crow did it having very few high AWR defenders.

Oh yeah, it was what Livewire was mentioning. It's going off the list of the amount of players with Awareness over 80, per team. Now, per offense and defense. If you add the 2 numbers together, they should be the same total I posted earlier. Probably the last I'll deal with it tonight :p

You can take me off that list FMT, just sent them to you and Fifty.

Chargers and Ravens were in the top 10 and Colts were around top 12 or 13.

You're looking in the wrong spots. It's MCV and ZCV that should govern interceptions.

Also, CBs ints are more due to him picking them off.

My most improved player was my third string TE. Sigh.

I'm very happy that my most improved was that Vollmer dude, the current Real life LT on the team. Increased 7 overall, and helped me some on what I'm doing in FA.

Also glad that Wheatley jumped 6 points overall, and looks to have some very nice hidden ratings, that will move him to my #3 CB, as Bodden, I believe, was the #1 culprit in why my pass defense was bullshitty last year.

So Hobbs +1, Wheatley +6 and Butler +5. Hoping my Pass D will be better, but still remains my #1 priority in the offseason.

EJ Henderson has a 37 MCV and 50 ZCV. Many of the top INT-grabbing LBs have crappy MCV and ZCV.

The top 10 players this past season by total Interceptions recorded:

Brian Dawkins 10
Asante Samuel 9
Kirk Morrison 9
Antonio Cromartie 8
Darcel McBath 8
E.J. Henderson 8
Lee Carter 8
Leodis McKelvin 8
Michael Johnson 8
Terence Newman 8

On this list, everyone is above 80 AWR, except for Darcel McBath and Antonio Cromartie.

If you go one step down (7 INTs), every single player has over 80 AWR except for one, your own Kenny Phillips.

Case in point, my best interceptor this season? London Fletcher, 93 AWR.

24 teams in so far. I have them ordered in Excel.
In the case of teams with equal points given up, the first tiebreaker is best player given up, rating-wise, the 2nd tiebreaker is team record, with the 'worst' team getting the better pick.

Send me your picks!

I knew this would happen! You pick 9th in the rookie draft..whenever that happens. That's done by the site via the usual NFL method.

Our own invention is the FA draft, and the picks haven't been announced for that yet. I'll input your two drops though!

No I was commenting on being 9th in the rookie draft. I thought I played shitty enough to get a better pick but whatever

Well if my theory is correct, Madden is making most of those INTs for you, along with most of the rest of the league's top pass intercepting teams. (Except for Denver, who features only 2 DB/LBs with an AWR over 80, neither of which led his team in INTs). Your entire starting secondary is over 80 AWR (several over 90).
