Conservatives are hardly bastions of relaxation and stress free lives. You'd be better off swearing off politics.

You dont know conservatives very well do you?

The amount of abject panic some conservatives have been in around my town over the looming Clinton presidency begs to differ. They've been living in Hell on Earth under the boot of Emperor Barack Hussein Obama for the past 8 years and Madam Sulfur Stench herself is swooping in to carry the torch forward for at least another 4. Things are apocalyptically stressful in conservative land.

That's right, they're ready to riot.

Have I missed something whilst I've been asleep? Everyone seems more stressed not that they were 8/9 hours ago. Is it just bedwetting, or what? The media narrative is still that Comey screwed-up, and it was obvious the FBI were going to get access to the Weiner/Huma email PC.

Edgy internet Socialists really don't know what words mean, part 192. This week's word: McCarthyite.

There's an absurd McCarthyite smear campaign going on against @RaniaKhalek over a conference also attended by people from the NYT, NGOs, etc

Rania Khalek was fired from her job at Electronic Intifada (and yes, the site is as edgy as the name suggests) for agreeing to be a speaker at a conference put on by the Assad family. She was going to speak about why the U.S. shouldn't put sanctions on Assad. The other speakers were mostly war criminals employed by Assad.

What are you talking about? It's up in swing states and Dems are outperforming 2012 where GOTV won Obama the election.

I was reading this update from Michael McDonald.

That said, in North Carolina that stability is starting to point in the Republican direction, while in Ohio the Democrats appear to be making up ground. In these close battleground states and others I expect the early vote to provide a similar signal to the polling, in that we will know that the election is close and will be determined by Election Day voters.

It's crazy that there's only 1 billion people in all of the Americas. You actually would have to suck in everyone from North and South America to hit that number.

The continents were almost completely depopulated a few centuries ago and a lot of the land in it was not heavily resettled until fairly recently in the grand scheme of things. And much of the continent has already hit the demographic transition point where population growth is minimal. Most of Canada is also not suitable for dense populations.

Trump literally said these things.

"Week one, Hillary Clinton will allow 650m into our country. Week two, she's going to start WW3!"

We really need to appreciate that we have a candidate for president who can follow up a Nazi conspiracy about Hillary with a Tankie conspiracy about Hillary.

You don't see people that can grab wild conspiracy theories from both left and right.

Really? I see them constantly.

Horseshoe theory has some merit to it, imo. Far left and far right might be ideologically opposed, but they're united in their willingness to believe crazy ass shit.

I wake up every day hoping this is all just a nightmare. Nothing seems real anymore. It's as if someone comes along and claims that the sky is green and many believe it.

It is not the words themselves that anger me, it is knowing that millions believe it to or at the very least brush such insane absurdities asside in order to gratify their prejudices.

It is very clear that at it's core this is an election where the choice is reason or madness.

Like 10-20% of the nation hates Hillary because they think she is the typical politician who isn't that interested in change or whatever.

And then 40% of the nation thinks she is the actual Antichrist who will cause the end of the America.

It's amazing that these two groups co-exist in the same nation.

We're going to win.

I just want the abortion-tape to test whether Evangelicals actually care about things other than hating Muslims.

That would be fascinating, I can't think of another issue for Evangelicals that brings out the crazies more than Abortion.

The most important things from North Carolina are that the numbers have been surging since more polling places were added and we'll pass 2012 soon and that low propensity Dems are turning out.

Also, lots of Dixiecrats dying and young liberals are registering I. The registration edge is down in NC even though we'll do significantly better than 12. Nate Cohn explains a lot of this in the NC tracking article.

I'm now actually burned out for this election. I wish the final vote was this Tuesday, not next Tuesday.

Which network should be the most "entertaining" to watch election day?

The best part of this election being over will be how I can finally watch youtube without getting political ads.

If Hillary wins this election is it a given she'll run again in 2020 or will the Democrats try to get a stronger candidate for next election? I was thinking about this the other day because, I hear a lot of people (Not specifically on GAF) say Hillary would be dead if the Republican's had a stronger candidate and that Trump was a gift to the Democrats this election and it made me wonder how 2020 could play out.

-A white supremacist is running for president.
-South Korea's leader was controlled by the daughter of a cult member.
-Drug addict genocide going on in Philippines.
-Climate change gonna kill tons of things later on.
-Venezuela becoming a dictatorship.

... But we're talking about emails.

Ummm....Hillary will run again unless she's impeached or is unable to run for some unforeseen, extenuating circumstances or something. The DNC would never just drop her, and the "Hillary would get stomped if 'X' happened instead" argument is a kind of baseless hypothetical that we really have no proof for.

Hardly anyone was calling Clinton a weak candidate after the third debate. Amazing how people relapse at the slightest Republican feint.

Hillary would be greatly boosted in 2020 by being the incumbent, and also their eternal talking point of "We've got to keep her out of the White House or else there will be nuclear war in moments" would be dead from the four years of non-nuclear war under her presidency.

Another 2800 Dem edge today in Clark County (Vegas). Again, it's hard to see how Republicans come back from this unless the Indies swing HARD towards Trump.

Tom Cotton is such a fucking boring, obviously craven dude that he will probably have to call his campaign book My Struggle to get the Trumpkins on board.

I'm beginning to become a believer that Cotton will be 2020's Rubio or Walker - great on paper and who the establishment hopes will save the party, but will lose out to the unelectable firebrand the base picks to "destroy" President Clinton.

When will polls filter through with the effects of the weekend? I know we had one yesterday which had some Friday polling, but given how Comeygate spun out on Saturday and yesterday, it wasn't all that useful.

I just had this bizarre realization that I've seen absolutely no ads either for or against legalizing marijuana in California.

Granted I watch almost no live TV, but even the stuff I catch at the gym or online, nothing.

Haven't seen anything about death penalty either. everything's just prescription drugs and schools.

Not until Wednesday or Thursday. That's at least been the trend for all of the other major weekend news drops this election.

There's no way Hillary doesn't run for reelection, and there's no way the Democrats don't support their own incumbent. Only once in history has a major party failed to nominate their own (elected) incumbent President, Franklin Pierce.

Bahhhhhh... Fair enough. :) Related to that, actually - when will the last polls drop? I assume one or two will drop Monday?

Tomorrow, we should get the first polls with the effect over the weekend.

Somebody posted earlier a Tweet from a reporter today, about how someone from Monmouth polling was on one of the Sunday weekend shows saying that they weren't picking up any major effect from the letter.

YouGov came out with a poll this morning too, about whether the letter would affect voters minds. It won't.

By today, the news about the letter was already half dragging the FBI, and the rest speculation and about how it might not even be significant. It's still a drag on the campaign, but don't think that this will be the only thing to dominate the news from here to election day, or that Trump will avoid more disasters.

Just a few days ago we thought these final two weeks were going to be boring.
