I firmly believe Kander got this. GOTV in STL will put him over the top.

Kander is an incredible candidate. I was impressed when he ran for SoS and am even more impressed after seeing him now.

After canvassing for him, people really like him - even those that won't vote for Hillary. Its anecdotal, but guys I've talked to in the campaign's agree. His appeal is widespread. Really hope he wins.

Most people, especially conservatives, vote on Election Day.

Look at that statement from Monmouth. There are actually A LOT of soft Trump supports, especially in Red States, who will only still vote for Trump if they think it will prevent Hillary from winning their state.

Ideally we want a late oppo drop so that Democrats feel scared into voting for Hillary while soft Trump supporters end up not voting for POTUS because they think it won't matter and are freshly disgusted with Trump. (Meaning we want an oppo drop that pollsters won't be able to measure its effects before the final election result).

Edit: Just want to make clear I'm not saying there IS more oppo. Just that so close to the election that it can't be measured by pollsters might actually be a great time to drop.

There was a woman on msnbc a few minutes ago talking about black turn out in Florida and I didn't get a chance to watch all of the segment but she was saying that Hillary and the campaign didn't do enough. Didn't get into the community enough and I'm still left with the question of what could she have done more. That's something I always see missing here in this conversations when I see people on TV saying it. Accepting the fact she's not Obama and because of that turn out wouldn't have been the same no matter what. I'm guessing at this point they don't really have anything. Trump's counters have been the things that end up driving his numbers lower. At the various implosions he's had, it's been a slow dip as he just keeps going off on some tangent that makes things worse. They should be dropping it now if they had anything.

I hate to use the word, but "optics." I mean look at Friday where the letter from Comey basically had no information to suggest anything negative about Hillary and look at how the news reported it as the FBI reopening the investigation, etc. Same with this stuff. It is just the mere "FBI is investigating" that makes everyone assume the worst. Interestingly, FBI flat out refusing to investigate any of the questionable Russian ties to Trump even though they admit "hey some of this stuff could be weird" is extremely telling about priorities and partisanship, but that is not what is reported.

It seems like the FBI doesn't like to be criticized. Leaks are happening because Comey is allowing it and Obama doesn't want to stir the hornets nest any further.

Comey's behavior runs deeper though-it shows a profound willingness by a federal agency to get involved with partisan politics. We've gone through that before as a country, it was bad.

Hillary needs to appoint someone willing to purge the partisans from the agency. It feels right now the FBI is all about partisan leaking information and non-partisans leaking more information to point out how out of control the partisans are and that the rest of the FBI are good people.
