Is there any sort of timeframe on when the whole emails investigation will be wrapped up?

Getting real sick of hearing about it.

Hooooly shieeeeeeet!
Just plugged in the numbers, winning NY and CA by 10, PA, MD and NJ by closer to +20/25 with modest Bernie wins most everywhere else (Puerto Rico and New Mexico I gave to Hills by similar margins as Arizona, D.C. I split 80-20 since it wouldn't even matter at that point) would produce slightly under a 400-delegate margin.

My mother's girlfriend invoked this line of reasoning the other day. She wasn't quite so delusional, but she was definitely playing up the "Super delegates will vote for Bernie and he'll win" line of reasoning. I had to gently remind her that the Super delegates have never risen as a monolithic group and overridden the pledged delegate totals, and Hillary leads pledged delegates by several hundred. She seemed somewhat resigned to failure after that, but she's older, so she doesn't get as emotionally invested as younger people going through their first big election. The delusion from younger Sanders supporters is starting to turn into vitriol against Clinton, and that's sad to see, since politically they are extremely close (certainly closer than any Republican competitor).
I mean that's the thing, the minute people started deluding themselves into thinking Bernie had a shot was the moment they ensured there would be hurt feelings when he came up short. I don't think that should preclude people from supporting whoever they want, but goddamn, get some perspective.

I know Reddit shit is dumb but I can't help it I'm sorry Kev I think you'll forgive me though

I don't see any sort of harm with Bernie spreading positive messages of social democracy. My biggest fear is that more people are becoming libertarian (in the sense that they favor the more laissez-faire capitalism) and that's not really very promising.

I see that Maddow interview last night ruffled some feathers.

Let's ruffle them a little more: https://www.reddit.com/r/SandersFor...dit_thank_you_so_much_for_your_support_today/

If people want to donate, let them. Once Apr 19/26 hit and reality sets in, I'll be curious how the donations go and what people think.

And I'll be more curious if Sanders just burns all of it on himself without supporting any down ticket dems, even the so called "Sanders Democrats" that are trying to primary establishment Dems.

Over/Under on Hillary doing anything on Citizens United before 2021?
Assuming Garland doesn't get confirmed, the first thing she's going to do is nominate a justice that will overturn it as soon as it can possibly happen. The Democratic Party can't wait it out.

I know what you're implying but no, it's not true.

lol. That really says it all, doesn't it?

A whole generation of Bernie-supporting millennials who think they're the first ones to come across the revelations of Hillary moving to NY for a Senate seat, or that she used to serve on the board of directors for Walmart, or that she as a high schooler supported Barry Goldwater.

There are two opitions;

1.) Time and Supreme Court - The objections put it by the minority in the CU case give a good groundwork to overturn it. This is out of her hands.

2.) Elect enough House and Senate to pass a constitutional amendment, can do this via states but probably more difficult as it looks like around 28 states would support it at best, and you need 38. She could use the bully pulpit to help push this, but making 10 republican states vote for it? No idea how. Getting 2/3 majority of the House will be impossible for awhile.

Wrestle mania is good because it's basically just a big spectacle. If you only watch wwe once a year, that's the time

You don't even have to be a fan

Screw politics. I'm going to be replaying FFXV demo over and over for the next few weeks.

I can't believe it's finally happening. It was first announced as FF versus XIII, back when Obama was still a junior senator from Illinois ;_;

It was a SCOTUS ruling on constitutional grounds. The only things that can even be done are either bring a new case hoping to overturn its precedent or pass a Conditional amendment.

Do you know how the government works?

The only thing a President can do about Citizens United at this point is nominate a Supreme Court Justice that would vote to repeal it. A constitutional amendment would require a Congress and state legislatures that would pass the amendment, and I don't ever see that happening.

Maybe some people on the internet.

I think he might raise some points on socialism and social democracy, but I don't think he explained what makes them great at all. I think it is mostly college students, and a few others that is taking it to heart, but for college students, it seems to wanting of more stuff they don't have to pay for. On the other side, it looks like some people want a more effective system that makes their life better. The group of working class and blue collar Americans, mostly white. Many older white Americans aren't doing well, so they are looking at people that are talking about their issues. The problem for Bernie is that this group might not care for social democracy on a ideological level, but whatever helps them in their current situation.

This group of people hardly gets talked about and they are the ones that are voting for Bernie in bigger numbers than young people, but at the same time these people aren't necessary loyal to Bernie at all.

I doubt Bernie is actual making a huge difference in getting many people to want social democracy in America. There already is a sizeable wing in the Democratic party that are close to social democrats. I think the Democrats will try to make a bigger welfare state and try to improve workers, but I am not under the illusion that they will put more programs directly under the federal government.
