It was a feature added with 2.0 last week.
I spent the evening exploring the Dreadnaught and figuring out some of the goings on there.
- Got a weird three part transmission, and figured out how to decrypt it.
- Found two keys and paired them to their chests. Lewt.
- Finally realized what wormspore looks like.
- Triggered a Court of Oryx event, solo, and beat it. (The Ogre with the exploding thralls.)
- Found an Agonarch Rune, but not how to charge it.
- Realized the Court is not the only place you trigger big public events.
- That led to a Skyburners Deployment Codes, though I don't know what to do with them.
- I summoned a relic that I carry around but can't figure out what to do with. Yet.
There's been more mystery, discovery, unexpected finds and actual exploration this evening than in all of last year combined in Destiny. And my quest log is longer now than when the day started.
As much as Bungie over sold the launch version of Destiny, they held a lot of cards close with this one. It's far larger and better than I expected.
